3 weeks 6 days ago	Based on Florida's standards,	It had subpar recruiting years at the end of the Urban era (short as it was).  It is now at the top of the rankings and with all of the talent in the state, should stay there (assuming no Auburn related fallout).

15 weeks 1 day ago	Those were not real bodies	that we threw over the wall  ---  only inflatables -- I think.  And yes, the student body was fully behind Wangler.  He sort of was the first in the eventual line of quality passing quarterbacks.
15 weeks 1 day ago	You are right,	Bo started Hewitt because he wanted to establish the run.  Bo started Dickey (better runner)  in the begining of the season and was relunctant to play Wangler.   It was not until 1980 that Bo gained confidence in Wangler and installed him as the permanent starter.  .
15 weeks 1 day ago	The 1979 Wangler to Carter TD catch	against Ohio State was also a classic. From the crazy endzone seats,  we could see the pass towards Carter, but the Ohio State DB blocked our view of the catch.  Only when Carter emerged sprinting to the endzone did the student section erupt.  In those days,  beer was acceptable in the staduim and  the half-time beer runs, the norm ---  So I cannot remember the score -  only that Bo decided to start the freshman Hewitt over Wangler, because Bo (as we all know)  was not a huge fan of the pass game.

17 weeks 2 days ago	I cannot form a conclusion, yet	but, he admits that he lied to his parents and mislead others about meeting her. He was not forthcoming in interviews after the alleged December 6th call. So how do we know that he is telling the whole truth now? So I really do not want to hear opinions based on what what said.  What I want to know is what florist sent the flowers and where are the receipts.  I repeat,  where are the flower records.  These are very simple to obtain.  If there are such records and the flowers were sent to the address he states,  then I may start to believe some of his statements. How about producing his phone records, email records or online communication records.  These records reach deeply into his privacy and this may be too intrucive, but just produce those phone records itemizing those 8 hour phone calls.  Then maybe there will be a consensus that he was duped -  for a period of time. Without these records and unless someone talks (unlikely), it just he said, they said (ND).  Believe them if you will.,
17 weeks 3 days ago	The interview was	Mostly lame Simple questions that could determine his veracity like where did you get the flowers and how did you pay for them were never asked. Obtaining third party documents in these types of cases are key. If the flower purchase was not made, his whole story goes down in flames. And, at least ask him to produce his phone, email and online documentation. He admits that he lied to his parents and at a minimum mislead others about meeting her. He was not forthcoming in interviews after the alleged December 6th call. So how do we know that he is telling the whole truth now? How did he have such a good recollection as to the address he allegedly sent flowers to over 4 months ago and other facts Were notes used in the interview, thus the need for a camera-less interview or was he really well prepared? No real conclusions can be drawn yet, but I really want an answer to the flower purchase question.
17 weeks 5 days ago	I am sure that someone has raised these addtional questions:	Where did you purchase the white roses?  How did you pay for them? Where were they sent and who told you where to send them. May I review your phone records for the last year? Were you born in Hawaii and do your have a birth certificate? Who is Ronaiah? How long have you known him? How much contact have you had with him - internet or otherwise?  By what means. May I inpsect your computer? Will you authorize the release of your twitter records and other online communiication accounts. Also if ND made a complete investigation of the matter, why was Reba surprised by the call from Deadspin?  Who did they contact and what was said.  It seems that relatives participated in this scheme vs. strangers. Why?   It seems odd that someone would not visit the love of his life, who was laying on her death bed, nor attend her funeral.  It seems difficult to believe that there was no further contact with her "family members".   If this is truly "catfishing" then, maybe some facts will come out. If it was a publicity stunt with compliant family members, then the truth will not be known. Only the documents or inspectionsmentioned above would shed light on the situation and those will never be produced.  So the story will just fade away.

UM	UF is an excellent school in both academics and sports.  It is a member of the AAU. In my view and those that rate colleges (national and internationally), U of M holds an advantage, but not by much.   UF's campus and surrounding area is AA like.  Each school has acedemic and regional advantages.   For instance  100% of UF's  accounting graduates secured employment last year.  A UF student may also have a regional advanteage in securing employment in the southeastern states.  So  with  UF you get a SEC conference school with academic excellences with regional advantages. With UM,  it is more of a nationally recognized institution with a nationally recognized sports program.   You really cannot go wrong with either choice.

34 weeks 2 days ago	Its not the fault of Borges	Dicky V. said this morning, at a local restaurant, that he gave a pep talk to the ND players before the game and that this talk fired up the ND defense and caused the 6 turnovers. His daughters apparently attend and attended ND. It was very difficult to listen politely

47 weeks 4 days ago	Florida recruiting	While up on a recent visit,  saw the entire Michigan coaching staff  (less Jackson) at Miller's Bar after the camp.  A very, very good group of people.  Did suggest that they start recruitng in the Manatee/Sarasota area here in Florida again.  There is a lot of talented football players that have come through this area.  Manatee High is rated #1 in the country.   Hope to see them down here on a regular basis.
