MBB vs. Ohio State Open Thread
Elbow Hightower and Valentine instead.
That was a rough few minutes. Tough calls and an opponent good enough to take advantage.
Oh, and MfaninOH. You're a straight up douche bag. No qualifiers, nothing redeeming, just a douche. If you think you're clever, insightful, aware, anything, you aren't. You're just a douche.
+1
also, MfaninOH struck out on a date with his left hand last night.
How is it possible for Sullinger to play this whole game as physical as he is and only commit 1 foul? He's good but this is just complete bullshit.
They didn't give Hightower a hug?
Wow, really? What happened to "It aint over till its over?"
The difference between losing by 10 and losing by 20 might be the difference than a 10 seed and an 11 seed. So there is still something to play hard for even if the game is out of reach.
If that's the case, let's lose by 20. An 11 seed is a lot better way to get to the sweet 16 than a 10.
F these clowns. In place of a win, accept this picture of a sad, annoyed kitten.
Hey, a foul on OSU. :claps:
SULLINGER IS INVINCIBLE. INVINCIBLE, I TELLS YA!
Let's see him pull this no-call bullshit in the NBA.
Oh well, you're not going to win when you're laying bricks like it's going out of style, but it would have been nice to see what would have happened without those two bad calls halfway through the second.
Yeah, we needed to shoot better. Even really good teams are up against it when you shoot like this.
Ohio State has a very good and deep team . I hope they enjoy it while it lasts because they are basically starting over after this year.
A deep team? You do realize their rotation is 7 guys right. Congrats Nate, another stupid ass post by you.
This team is gonna be so fun to watch next season. And in the tournament. Well now I'm gonna be rooting for Osu to beat msu I really really cant hear all of the state fans in the office tell me how state is good and turn it on during march. I can't see them win
By a score of 7-5 or something.
I'm rooting for a 1-0 victory.
Here we go: a late, pointless spate of foul calls our way at the end of the game to make the final disparity look not so bad.
Might help us when it comes to seeding. I bet a lot of the committee can't actually watch all these games.
even if the buckeyes have to win, at least piss them off on the way out
The game is out of reach, and we're starting to get calls. so nice of the refs to even it out.
Wow. Kerr said it... Sullinger "bulls" his way to the basket. No shit.
They didn't list Hightower among the leading scorers for tOSU?
What FGHT!!!
Okay...what's the line on this game?
I belieieve its in the realm of 9.5-10.
love the fight from these boys.
Love this fight at the end.
On the bright side Vogrich is showing some Novak grit going for loose balls.
Then the out of bounds call off OSU that went against us and then Sullinger's charge...er I mean Hardaway's blocking foul completly changed the game...I am not saying michigan was going to win, but the game would have been much closer and down to the wire since Michigan would have had the momentum.
I hate when referees change the damn game. Then again, these are referees from the Big Ten...so its not like it is surprising
er, lack thereof was gynormous; it ended up being a 3 pt. play and made a two point game back to five. Like you said, perhaps in the end OSU pulls it out, but then again the way this team fights, maybe we pull it out.
i just texted my buddy nearly the exact same thing. the two worst calls of the game came right in the midst of osu's big run. that no-call on the charge was plain awful.
Did you see the Northwestern OT. NW didn't even come close to fouling Sullinger in OT, yet Sullinger walked to FT the 3 times in OT.
I thought Kellogg was relatively ubiased, and Nantz is Nantz. At least Packer is gone. I mean we would all prefer Gus Johnson, but Nantz is servicable.
show up when were losing? Honest question. If you have any balls you will give an answer.
HOLY SHIT
UH OH
HOLY SHIT
triple post surprise!
WOW!
This team doesn't give up.
That was kinda exciting. At least we made it look respectable.
that was respectable. I know we got Craft's attention at the free throw line, he missed that first one BAAAAD, and then followed it up with another clunker. We get some calls at the other end and we might have the biggest surprise upset like in forever coming from that far back in like 40 seconds!
I was merely looking at it by the score. For someone who didn't watch the game the score as it ended looks a lot better than when we were down 15+.
I was annoyed, but the run we had in the last minute makes me extremely proud
If you give up on this team, I give up on you. Love them.
I love them too. I'm just completely frustrated by the INVINCIBILITY of Sullinger when charging defenders in the post. Complete horseshit served up hot n' fresh on hamburger buns with ketchup and pickles.
I don't think we've seen this kind of moxie since the Fab Five years. Gumption! Can you say 'Sweet Sixteen'? It's easy to be all sorts of positive in the days following tipoff of the FFT, but these guys truly have what it takes to win games: Moxie, good under pressure, resilient when behind, a flair for the dramatic, and players that can get it done in crunch time.
Go Blue!
That was an impressive finish. Good for these kids. Much bigger game next week.
damn... i wish we didnt have that cold stretch with fouls and what not
Gonna beat the spread with at least 20 points on the officials.
