I'm actually happy that goals against are down this year. Sure, we have looked flat at times during the winless sreak, but we have also gotten so many bad breaks that tend to even out over the season. Defense has been stable which is huge and also necessary if we plan on more that just a Division title. I'm also encouraged that the last streaks of this magnitude (which obviously is over) happened in '02 and '08 and they were longer and we raised the Cup both years. There is no way I doubt my Wings. |

was that if Denard put up those numbers all year and beat OSU and MSU and won a BCS Bowl game and the Heisman and maybe struck a pose, THEN he would be able to be feel "entitled"? Desmond contradicted himself. I don't think Bo qualified the statement "no one is bigger than the Michigan program" with any performance exemptions. In fact if anyone is acting the big-shot, it's Desmond Howard. It just blows my mind he can throw out Denard Robinson's name as an example of what's wrong with college football. Denard is all about what is RIGHT with college football. |

That game 7 was one of mine too. Roy got pulled in the game. It was over in the first period. I have to say 1997 tho, when we finally beat the Avs in a series.... game 6 at home. I drove 300 miles on the spur of the moment and gladly paid $300 bucks to see it. It was sweet. During warmups Offsprings' Gone Away blared. They played "what a night" by Frankie Valley on the speakers afterward. Even today when I hear those songs it takes me back..Fedorov had a huge game and Vernon stoned em. It was so huge to finally beat the Av's and we swept the finals. |

I buy into the theory that difficult times doesn't build character in those who don't live by principles- it reveals their character. This is true for Tressel and the Buckeye fans that don't see the truth in all this. I wouldn't expect them to react any different. It's just cool the whole country can now see what I've known for a long time because I live in Ohio and have seen them in action for awhile now. |
