I can count on one hand the number of things that could be worse than this. Here's hoping Dam and his wife get the help they need to make it through this tragedy.

Similar thing happened to a close friend of mine with their second child...took them a long time to recover...but were able to finally have another happy and healthy baby.

I've never met Sam, but feel like I know him given the number of times I've listened to him on the radio. Thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Death sucks. Hurts me everytime. Doesn't matter if it's a baby in the womb like this, or an 85 year old who lived a full life. There is no ok time.

As someone that has had a very similar thing happen, I'm hurting for Sam. It took me a long to time to work through and my wife an understandably much longer time. At the very least he has a ton of support from the Michigan community.

This is incredibly hard. I saw this yesterday on Facebook and didn't know if it was appropriate to post. I have two boys and my wife is also 6 and a half months pregnant with our first daughter. At this stage, it's no different than losing a child at any age. Prayers for his family.

My DEEPEST condolences and prayers for you and your family.  I will keep you and your family in my prayers this week.  Stay strong and know the ENTIRE MICHIGAN family is with you.

That is awful. I would hate to see this happen to anyone, but it's especially sad to see it happen to Sam and his family. He seems like such a decent guy. I hope he knows that his Michigan family is here for him.

I can not imagine going through a tragic event like this.  Having just been blessed with my first daughter i will hold her a little tighter tonight.  Best wishes sam and my condolences to you and your family.

Horrible. Unfortunately my wife and I had to deal with two miscarriages, but she never had to actually give birth to the baby. I now have two beautiful kids, but it still makes me sad to think about what happened.

... to Sam and the Webb family. Please take your time to grieve and heal together with your family. Your Michigan family will be here for you when you are ready.

Really, really sad thing and it happens to such a great family. I found out today that my friend's sister-in-law just had a miscarriage too. Prayers to them all.

She had to deliver our unborn child as well. The doctor wouldn't tell us the baby's sex, and we were not allowed to see him/her nor bury him/her. Any semblance of closure became impossible. I think the times have changed and, as heartwrenching as Sam's loss is, I am glad they have compassionate doctors and nurses who have allowed them to give London a respectful service. So sorry for their loss.

We went through it as well.  It was of the few times in my life I really felt like an adult as weird as that sounds.  It was almost surreal.  The health care professionals that we dealt with were nothing short of amazing.  Everyone was so so compassionate.  I've never experienced anything like it when getting any other medical services.  Very sorry for their loss.
