Sarah Fuller scores first point by a female in P5 history!

Vandy just knotted the score at 7, late in the first on Sarah's kick, straight and true.

Btw, Vandy has only 49 scholarship guys available today, and only 18 on defense. Oof!

Outstanding!! I watched the special about her on Gameday last week.

Her soccer coach said she responded with "Fuck, yes!" when he asked if she wanted to kick. What an accomplishment.

I watched a girl kick in high school when I lived in SoCal.  On one play, the kick got blocked, and there was a scramble for the ball.  The female kicker was trying to tackle the player with the ball and she got annihilated doing so. It was a totally legal hit but damn she got de-cleated and never kicked again.   As a result the league contemplated making it a penalty for hitting a female player too hard.   Lol.

It is cool but she can barely make Extra points.  Now if she was kicking 40 yard fgs I would see it being a big deal but one woman barely making XPs shows just how superior men are when it comes to football or basketball.  Not trying to say what she is doing isn't a big deal and it is a cool story but to say a man on the Vandy men's soccer team doesn't have a better leg to kick then her is not facing reality.   I am all for it if women are good enough for football it would be different and cool  but say she tries a FG and it is blocked and a 300 lb lineman blocks her and hurts her it will be a different story.   But I'm the end I am glad she got to kick an extra point and play football.   After reading my post sounds like I am some male pig but I am far from it.  I don't know if I could even kick an extra point this poi t in my life.

Ok.  Thanks I didn't know that I thought pretty much all power 5 conference schools have men's soccer.   Did they ever ?   Or has it been cancelled.

Edit

Simple search and Jason Whitlock came up as he didn't know Vandy cancelled their men's soccer In 2006.   I upvoted you for that information because you taught me something today I didn't know.   I am being serious also not trying to dick.  I always find it cool to learn something new everyday.

No it doesn't as the Business of The NCAA which is selfish and corrupt.    But it was a good marketing scheme by Vandy as it took away at how bad they been and also how bad Covid-19 affected their team.    It seemed like a few years back Vandy was a decent team now they are just bad like Kansas bad. But they are one hell of a academic school.

It is depressing I immediately knew the vast majority of the 40-ish comments on this thread were going to be some discussion about the appropriateness of a woman kicking a football and how it was libtard conspiracy to rob hard-working male kickers of their right to kick an extra point at Vandy.
