Sam Webb on Bush and Walker.....

Submitted by MichiganAlum2014 on

So Sam Webb did an update around 11:35 tonight on Scout.com and his gut still thinks Michigan leads for Bush and that Michigan lands him from his sources very close to the situation. When it comes to Walker though, he thinks FSU has really closed the gap and he cant put a gut feeling on that call, though he still thinks Michigan leads for Walker too. Needless to say, these next two days are going to give me extreme anxiety. Here's to hoping we get both!! Fingers crossed!

While a solid LB could come in and see time, it's generally easier for a freshman rb to make a big impact than a freshman LB.  Obviously QB is a question mark on offense heading into next year, I'd like to think O'Korn can fill the need.  However, there really isn't a running back on the roster that appears to be a difference maker that the offense needs (not counting Peppers).

teams and I see running backs squirt through holes that our backs get stuffed in all the time. These are not highly touted backs...just your average running backs. De'Veon Smith runs angry when he can get his feet churning, but does not slip through creases. A great running back can make your mediocre OL look good. They don't need huge holes, and they don't need you to sustain blocks for 3-4 seconds. They see the hole, hit the hole, and are at the second level quickly. We have not had that guy for years.

Maybe something clicks for Higdon or one of the younger guys this year tho...? Or, maybe Isaac hangs on to the ball long enough to get his ass out of the doghouse.
Don't get me wrong, I love seeing Peppers on offense but I
don't know if flipping him to
offense at this point is the greatest thing for his career/nfl trajectory.
I guess the bottom line is..In Harbaugh we trust. He'll give us our best chance to win no matter what.

stay almost completely out of it. It is hard to do, but I like to preserve the feeling of long ago when I found out who the team was when they took the field. It also hurt that I got burned with unwarranted excitement with BWC, Justin Turner, Cissoko, Shane, et. all.

Particularly when the selling feature is "See what Peppers did on a part-time basis?  I see you with the same ability, but just firing through the holes we open as our TE's, FB's and line beat the living hell out of a defense over the whole game."

Go Blue, young man.

Mods can you delete this thread and all of his mgopoints? I also pay $10 a month for scout but don't run to mgoblog to post insider information because I have a conscience.

I wish. Just think it's bush league to post something here ~30 minutes after its posted on Scout for a subscription only audience. Odds are it'll be fully public in the morning and not a big deal.

Taking information that people pay for (and in turn information people are paid to provide) and posting it on a free board like mgoblog really irks me. And I'm sure I'm not the only one. Again, as MANY posters and contributors have pointed out over the last few years, posts like tonight's are commonly known to everyone within 24 hours. No need to rush here and post it.

I find it no different than you going to tell your buddies over the phone what Sam just posted on scout. He knows that once it gets posted on the sight its probably going to get to people who don't pay for the subscription. Hell, he'll probably repeat the same thing on the recruiting roundup tomorrow morning on WTKA.

Wow... a practical death sentence for something that is debateably open public knowledge and laregely speculative and to change any second?

Way to go easy on someone new.  Anything else you'd like to try?  Like shiting in his morning cerial?

Glad you have a high horse to ride on.  I see you must be pretty active here, as in 6 years you have less than half of the points that he has in 3 months.

An edit of the post, or even a deletion may be appropriate.  But wiping him clean?  (Not that these stupid points really matter once you get past 100... I think)

Like you said, points are worthless. I agree, the thread should just be wiped like you said. If I could edit posts on the app I would've said wipe the points from this post.

No high horse here, even if I came across that way.
