Celebration dinner for Cass Tech and King state championships.

One of these coaches secured the commitment of the star player on King this week.

Good dude, WTF???  He is immature enought to get into a verbal sparring match with a college player - Mike Hart, he has no discipline when it comes to his players and them breaing the law, and pompous enough to keep doing the "pride comes before the fall bullshit" and does this....

She is even hotter in person as I watched her at the Woodward Dreamcruise this year. She is a true professional and will go down in Detroit broadcast history right along with Bill Bonds - RIP.

All coaches are crazy driven and borderline delusional when it comes to their ability to be a winner, lead a team, etc....They essentially have to be.

At what point does it hit a coach that his run is just over, ie...the writing is on the wall.

Dantorellio really benefited from UM's fall from grace post Carr, and even though it was just one shit 3-9 season, and Harbaugh owning him for in-state recruits this year, at what point does it hit Mork that this is probably not going to go his way and 1 out of every 4 or 5 games against UM (in some absurd luck or upset - like Harbaugh year 1) like the old days is probably his peak now.

Sure looks like reality is starting to set in for this bitter man.

Something must not be quite right with Dantonio's meal.  He looks very dissatisfied.  I'm guessing that the dinner roll might be stale.

OK, I can't hold the laughter in anymore.  Dantonio has got the patent on the the Perma-Scowl (TM).  Don't like the guy much, but respect what he's done with that program and the guy can obviously coach.  Love this picture - thanks for sharing!!

I was able to attend today. It was a nice event for Cass Tech and King since they won State championships this year. Coach Dantonio arrived first. When Coach Harbaugh arrived, he went right over to Dantonio to sit next to him and talk. They were moved to the center table set up in the picture.

They each had about 5 minutes to speak and both did a nice job. Dantonio had a good message about the importance of dealing with adversity and coming back strong. A lot of applicability to life. He owned it that they didn't have the season they wanted. Of course he did mention the Big Ten championships in prior years.

Coach Harbaugh opened with having everybody stand up and give high fives. He talked about the power of the high five. He talked about the players in the room being the future. He talked about the importance of high school coaches in leading young men. A great quick speech that connected with the audience. You see his son in the picture. As a father of three, I kept thinking how does his son stay so darn well behaved for two hours. Then I remembered he is a Harbaugh!
