One departure.......unexpected...

Unfortunately we have one near term departure and maybe a second. As much as I hate the off-season things happen. TE Devin Asiasi has some family issues to attend to. He is currently in California and may not return. Even if he does, there may be eligibility issues due to not attending classes. The second player in doubt along the OL has been extremely quiet. Still waiting to see how it plays out. Perry will likely return. So far so good.

...perry played really well and we have a few tight-ends still around.  agree that asiasi was a special talent and given the choice i'd select him over perry but it will be good to have that production back since so much of our receiving core graduated.

definitely agree with the o-line...can't afford any attrition...

Must've been really off the cuff or else you would think Harbaugh would recruit a TE for this cycle?

Damn. Hoping for the best for Devin and his fam.

Also hoping that everything is okay with whoever on the OL is thinking of transferring.

I get it. Doesn't mean I can't be disappointed that we might lose him. I hope everything is fine and he can get back out here.

Everyone here wants what is best for Devin and his family. Right? This is bad to lose a truly rare talent. He blocks like an All Big Ten guard and can run and catch better than many WRs. We are going to miss a true game changer.

His family needs him.  I'd say their claim trumps yours or mine.

I hope everything works out well for the young man and his family, and I hope we get to see him again in the winged helmet in the future.

We have Bunting and Wheatley.  And Gentry.  It's not like we have nothing at that position.  Kid has a family issue ..... Harbaugh just explained to us how it's all about family ..... if he has to do family then do family.  Wish nothing but the best for him.  He will always be a Michigan Man.

Your misuse of the ellipsis is triggering my inner grammar nerd hard lol Oh yes, and this is terrible news on the football front. Hope Devin's family is OK.
