I don't think I've ever seen football played like this before. 4 defensive tds in 2 weeks!! With 1 offensive TD
September 7th, 2013 at 3:32 PM ^
msu should just play their whole defense two ways. at least they can score...

MSU defense has 4 TDs on the year. The offense has 1. How is that possible?

Keys to beating STAEE: 1. Don't turn the ball over 2. Repeat #1 over and over again
September 7th, 2013 at 3:34 PM ^
This Sparty team is the exact opposite of our RR teams. Totally unbalanced in the other direction. One of the all time bad offenses in the Big Ten.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:37 PM ^
Yeah the defense is good, but playing like this is completely unsustainable. They are going to rack up a ton of injuries and major fatigue over the course of the season. A decent rushing attack would be gashing this D about now.

Shilique Calhoun is unquestionably the best thing the Spartans have going on offense....oh wait....
If USF would stop imploding when they actually start to get something resembling a drive together, this game might almost be not terrible. Well, maybe that's too generous.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:37 PM ^
because they play at Oregon this time next year.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:37 PM ^
Out of bounds and at least 5 yards short of the marker, this new QB is clearly a stud.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:38 PM ^
Central is losing to New Hampshire.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:39 PM ^
Yeah, UNH had a pretty long drive they put together too.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:40 PM ^
Don't be a buzzkill.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:42 PM ^
Sorry - LOL
September 7th, 2013 at 3:47 PM ^
Central lost their starting QB and RB to injury in 1st half last week. They are screwed.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:42 PM ^
They aren't just losing they are getting abused on their home field by an FCS squad. CMU has two offensive possessions with 6 plays and 15 yards, while NH has over 120 yards already. Looks like CMU might have been a lot worse than many of us thought and kind of diminishes what happened last Saturday.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:49 PM ^
Not really, I mean what more could we have done besides Gardner not throwing those picks? Most of our 2nd string were in by the start of the 4th qtr.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:39 PM ^
This game feels kind of like Iowa's 6-4 win over Penn State several years back.

Michigan fans game signs is a headline on yahoo sports...

I like that someone dropped the "How do you get a ______ grad off your front porch" joke for Michigan. Unless it's a Northwestern grad, the joke doesn't make any sense
September 7th, 2013 at 3:42 PM ^
Aaaah the boo birds are out in full force now.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:42 PM ^
September 7th, 2013 at 3:43 PM ^
USF is going to lose because of this basically, they can't take the MSU turnovers and get significant points.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:42 PM ^
September 7th, 2013 at 3:43 PM ^
Wide open WR drops a pass and CB drops a sure pick.

Braxton down in the ohio game... not sure if it's his leg or his head or both. Didn't look good either way.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:46 PM ^
Braxton hit hard and his helmet flew off. He's been down for a while holding his head and possibly his leg.
edit: walked off the field looking shaky and looked to be in a lot of pain when the trainer was messing with his knee.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:49 PM ^
If he's holding his head it soundsl ike he should be in the dark room.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:47 PM ^
September 7th, 2013 at 3:48 PM ^
MSU's punter is excellent (no seriously) - he pins teams inside the 10 constantly.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:50 PM ^
Practice.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:48 PM ^
187 yards of offense for MSU through 3 quarters.
Are they actually doing worst than against Western?
September 7th, 2013 at 3:51 PM ^
Good Gotham the Mio commercials. If I had some I'd squirt it in my eyes.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:51 PM ^
Apparently he has been dealing with that. So they will put a brace on it.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:54 PM ^
Is South Florida even trying to move the ball on offense anymore?
September 7th, 2013 at 3:54 PM ^
This is one of the worst football games I have ever seen. State should be ashamed of themselves.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:56 PM ^
And we all thought State vs Western last week was ugly.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:56 PM ^
End of three quarters and MSU hasn't scored an offensive TD.
Embarrassing....
September 7th, 2013 at 3:58 PM ^
They don't have any offensive points unless you count XPs. This is like watching a horrible high school game.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:56 PM ^
Wow Braxton potential MCL injury. WOw.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:57 PM ^
State holds and Maxwell still gets a guy in his face and can't complete a pass.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:57 PM ^
Backing themselves out of FG range.
September 7th, 2013 at 3:57 PM ^
Is that back up OSU QB the guy who publicly asked why football players should have to go to class last year?
