NH probability analysis: I've got a fever (really)...

Submitted by um00045 on

...and the only prescription is more NH. So what follows is an attempt at a probability analysis.

Scenario: NH leaning UofM post Ohio State: 50%

Scenario: NH still leaning UofM post FSU: (0.7)*(0.5) = 35%

Running game not stellar

Lost out on Wilson and Leatherwood

Alabama QB recruit may have out-shone McCaffrey early in Army practice

Scenario: NH still leaning UofM post Army Bowl (0.4)*(0.7)*(0.5)=14%

Alabama QB (Tua T.) recruit has shown a lack of cool by announcing flight details on Harris.

Harris does seem to want to avoid conflict and flipping to UofM is far more conflictual.

Purchase of Alabama flight ticket a necessary smoke screen due to Tua & Alabama craziness.

Brother/cousin who knows him and wants the best for him is pro-UofM (1.1)*(0.4)*(0.7)*(0.5) = 15.4.

There is a scientifically unassailable 15.4% chance Harris is coming to Michigan.

I haven't been participating in this, just reading, but I want to say that I find the idea that a guy who wants to be a running back in college football doesn't like "attention or conflict" to be highly ridiculous.

Now I feel more confident than ever that we are all eventually going to die. (If this post leads to another Global Warming debate then I will never post another WTKA update again).

Lurking for 3 1/2 years, and THIS is what you want to throw out as your first OP? Folks, here we have reason number 1,328 why we should increase the required MGoPoints to start a thread...

Yeah that's a personal problem. If you don't say stupid shit, it's not hard to keep your points. As it stands, people currently seem to try their hardest to get to 100 points (which isn't overly difficult) and then they post the first thing that comes to mind. Which is often incredibly stupid and irrelevant. To which point they are negged to Bolivia and everyone bitches. You've been here for 5 years now and aren't even to 500 points yet, so I would assume a great deal of your time is spent lurking. The 500 point threshold would make it so people who generally contribute decent content can start threads or people who have been here long enough to at least know what's stupid and has no place here. This isn't MLive or Twitter, and a lot of the people who join and get to 100 points in a day and a half don't comprehend that we try to hold ourselves to a higher standard here.

Great summary, thanks. love this blog and spend way to much time reading but not contributing. My attempt at humor about having to downvote the 9000 Harris 'update' threads (i thought we lose a point when we downvote something) didnt go over well. Lesson learned. Ill go back to posting only when i have something meaningful to say, which is rare.

You know, what's amazing to me, is the ease of transition from fit to straight up dad bod. Having kids just sucks the life out of a person. I just don't have many more shits to give anymore, you know?

Then you and your wife/girlfriend break up and you have to try to get that fit bod back to get a new one and between work, the kids, and all it's soooo difficult.   Have you tried pilates??  I haven't but I heard their great!  :)  And since we're in OT season, how about that Emerald City debut!  didn't see it but wow heard it was great!...

An interesting question that now has me curious to find it. YouTube.de redirects to YouTube.com in the US, so unless you can spoof to a DACH IP address (assuming you're not in one of those countries) that would seem to be not an option. There are various scenes auf deutsch on YouTube.com though, including that one: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZblbDtfgFdg

Christopher Walken's cow bell skit is one of my favorite SNL skits, right up there with the celebrity jeopardy ones. So, I really wanted to upvote just for that. However, the rest of the post was rough, and it is about a played out subject. Therefore, I can't. But, the sky reference saved you from a downvote.
