"Next year we go for the big one"-Coach Harbaugh

Submitted by HarbaughToKolesar85 on

Per ESPN Coach Harbaugh's last words to Michigan fans and boosters after the game were "Next year we go for the big one". The man just led us to 10 wins and he's already thinking about winning a National Title in year 2. So glad he's our coach! http://espn.go.com/blog/bigten/post/_/id/129229/jim-harbaugh-michigan-exceed-expectations-in-year-1-and-set-new-ones-for-year-2

After Utah everyone was hoping for 6 wins and wondering where they would come from.  Harbaugh stayed the course with Rudock and look what happened.  The kids on the bench have had an entire season under Harbaugh training and will have even more next year.  For some reason I think we'll be fine at QB.

Yeah it's not a guarantee, but that's the plan. If he doesn't it is more likely a bad sign than a good one. O'Korn looks really good (still has to do it in a game but luckily he gets warm ups against Hawaii, UCF, and Colorado) and the staff would rather have Speight and Morris (if he is indeed staying) as back ups to give BP the most time with the reins as possible.

Our Head Coach is a fearless and brilliant motivator.   Aside from pumping up our pumped up fan base even more, there is a great message for the team and recruits we want in this message.  Love it and Love where Michigan Football team is heading.

If have a Rudock that played the way he did, the 2nd Half of the Year, all year. We are easily 12-1.

I was completely blown away by our running game today. Extremely baffled, almost irritated in the sense of "where the F was this after BYU?!" Lol. It was a sight to see though, very awesome.

What do you guys this contributed the most? The 15 practices? Was De'von/Johnson really struggling bad with injuries throughout the year?

Would have to do some game film digging but i saw De'von make some cuts today that he has missed since BYU. With that being said, haven't seen a UM running back run with as much Heart since........ Hart

Great to be a Wolverine, Go Blue!

I think Brian or Ace made a comment about Deveon having turf toe....that would really be limiting and make sense as to why he performed much better yesterday. But it wasn't just physical injury with these guys....they seemed to have MUCH better vision than they had ALL season long. The coaches put some WORK into these practices.

I would take any such reports with some serious salt. But I am cautiously optimistic. He showed flashes in his first season at Houston. He was erratic and undisciplined, the sort of thing that Harbaugh can work with in a coachable player. If he is the clear-cut #1 by the end of the spring game (I mean, the way Rudock was at the fall open practice despite nothing announced) I'll be hopeful. If it's a real battle and it's not because Shane is hitting every throw, I'll be ratcheting expectations down.

did say that I wasn't sure about a 2015 win against OSU but I did say that Michigan would win in 2016 in Columbus.

Year 2 is when the elite coaches make their being move...and Harbaugh is already doing better than Saban and Stoops at a similar point in their career.
