Poole cost us. Got caught in the air at least three times, was zoning out on D, and never attacks the rim. He will pump fake and jab step until he takes a contested 3. We need to run the offensive system and get more open looks before sparty outplays us again.

He actually attacked the rim a lot more today than usual, but in general, I'd say he was our worst player today. Played like a freshman, going for steals, poor shot selection, etc. Brooks' slide has been pretty significant too, unless he can prove he can touch the basketball on offense without stopping the flow DeJulius may be in order to take his spot.

He didn't have a great game but he was not nearly the worst.  Matthews (1-8) was the worst starter and Brooks off the bench was a liability.  Poole did have nice drives to the bucket and needs to do that a little more to keep the defenses honest and free up some better looks from 3.  But give Sparty credit, they defended well on a couple of his takes to the bucket and kept him from get great looks from 3.

I agree regarding DeJulius.  He seems to be better than Brooks already - and he will be much better by the time he leaves Michigan.

Brian can eat poop for pissing on Ed regarding McQuaid.  He outplayed both Matthews and Poole by a mile.  Just like Brian pissing on Ed for saying Hap could move his feet well enough to guard Iggy (and Hap did).  Guess what, Ed knows about basketball.

TBH I have no idea what you’re referencing. I’ve tuned out of being a die hard Michigan basketball fan since January. But Mcquaid having his first decent game against Michigan doesn’t change my opinion on him. Just like my opinion on Winston hasn’t changed. Not an NBA player. At his size, you need either elite quickness, elite explosiveness, elite ball handling, or elite shooting, at the very least be a shot creator. He has none of those attributes. Pulling up for contested twos isn’t creating your own shot. A guard bigger than Simpson will block that all day in the nba. He had a good game at the line and played within himself, but to me, he gets hyped up too much. It looked like Michigan didn’t know any of MSU’s tendencies on offense.

The reference is to the WTKA radio show that Sam has - he brings in Brian, Ed, and Craig Ross for a few segments.  Ed said that he'd take McQuaid as a better player than Matthews.  Ed was proven right, today...

"I’ve tuned out of being a die hard Michigan basketball fan since January."

Fair weather front running fans are the worst.

Scored 14 points in the first 4 minutes of the half. Scored 6 over the next 12. The offense is fugly. Just embarrassing. 4th top-10 match-up in the rivalry's history, 1989 national championship team was there, national tv, B1G title on the line, and they took a giant dump on the court. Winston absolutely ate Simpson's lunch and Teske couldn't do shit all game, some his fault, others the fault of the team not getting him the ball on mismatches. They're going to lose by 20 in East Lansing. Fuck.

Typical overreaction. We have 6 guys. Two of them played one of their worst game of season. Of the other 4, all had a few moments of good, but lots of bad. Played awful on D. To say this game will impact a 20 point loss to MSU is odd. After this beating, and would think way more focused, a 20 point beat down would really make me question this team for March. Mental mistakes should be way down.

This reminds me a bit of last year at MSU, roles reversed. Home team thinking they got this, and just not looking as sharp as a team on the road playing with nothing to lose. This is a rival game. Crap happens. How they bounce back will defy this season.

Tell that to msu, who won both.  Dont worry, they are still capable of shitting themselves.

We can still win a top 10 and top 25 road game to finish regular season.  Depending on B10 tournament and the play of others, our seeding is still very much alive.

They lost at Illinois & Home against An IU who has lost like 8-10. Reality is college kids don’t get up for 30 games, and winning on road you have to overcome a lot. Especially officials at Iowa at Wisc.

personally this one stings the most, and nothing to do with rival. Home game with first place on line. Should be up. Thus, surprised a bit by the mental mistakes. I think some is fatigue, some youth, some rival got best of them, etc. just need to bounce back. I think the end of year run starts now. How they respond after this game and a practice week will dictate a lot to me.

It’s not hard.  What have we said for months.  We can’t score.  It’s weird.  We honestly can’t score or shoot.  We will lose before the elite eight.  It’s just a fact.  We cannot shoot this year.the beginning of the season was great.  The end of the season has been trash.  That’s it.

Not surprised. Can always count on Michigan to find a way to lose on the biggest stage. Season is over. Zero chance they win in east landfill.

This is Michigan basketball, not football bud. Back to back big ten Champs and a final four in the last year. If a regular season game in February is "the biggest stage" to you, you must be watching a lot more MSU basketball than Michigan basketball
