We were the only contender he was not a silent commit to; OSU, then USC, now UCLA.

I saw the news on Holmes. This is why certain recruitments have conflicting reports. USC and OSU reports were all confident this week I am sure. Dude picks UCLA today. CROOTIN'.
Just think of all the silents to M that never came.

They received a pretty good "consolation prize" in Okudah...as if those buttholes needed it.

He also said that OSU had the number one or best business school or some other such nonsense.

Not sure if anyone else saw it, but Bleacher Report did their usual shady recruitment specialty and released his commitment video right before he was supposed to announce except it was a video of him picking USC.

If that is what he said, then he really doesn't understand the meaning of silent.

Wait a minute, if he is an engineer, then he is going to bama as their dean is a real football guy, according to Dashwn Hand!

...Da'Shawn Hand says hi...
!!! ??? ...
January 7th, 2017 at 4:41 PM ^
I've started to think the same thing. Nothing says that just because he originally intended on enrolling early that he can't just hold off and start with the rest of the incoming freshmen.
Just what we need...another several weeks to dissect the situation.
January 7th, 2017 at 4:56 PM ^
he still has almost two weeks before he has to start here. I'm not guessing he needs a lot of time to decide, rather a better and calmer setting for doing so. That's assuming he hasn't already decided and isn't just trying to get away from all the pressure to announce it.
January 7th, 2017 at 5:13 PM ^
Why would he be on campus if it wasn't to start classes? I'm wondering if maybe he actually does want/need more time, which isn't out of the realm of possibility.
And what is the likelihood that someone would decide to EE and then wait until the last possible minute to add classes? That would seem to create a significant amount of work to make up for a full course load, especially for someone who is used to a high school schedule.
January 7th, 2017 at 5:34 PM ^
I'm not sure what prompted you to ask that. I was just pointing out two things. That flying home doesn't mean he will delay starting school. That he still has a little time to decide if he needs it. There was no implication that he would want to wait until the last moment to decide.
January 7th, 2017 at 5:40 PM ^
Isn't the real deadline the 11th anyway, since that's when Bama starts classes?
(I can't believe I'm still following this)
January 7th, 2017 at 5:43 PM ^
I guess I don't follow. My original statement was that maybe he's not ready to make a decision and could decide not to EE. I'm not saying that is likely, but his quote says he doesn't know where he's going. Could be recruit-speak or maybe he's just not sure.
January 7th, 2017 at 6:09 PM ^
That would be pretty wild. He doesn't even have to decide on NSD.
But I would not expect that. It takes work to graduate high school early, no sense in letting that go to waste by twiddling your thumbs for a few months.

Crootin insanity never ends! I hate you internets....except the free porn part, I will love you for that always.

How is this possible? Doesn't he have to start school this week?

the dead period ends. Otherwise, all the college coaches who still think they have a chance with him will be camped on his doorstep hounding him for a commitment. I would think that's not a fun way to try and make a decision.

Easy decision for some because they are two different worlds. It's a big part of why some of his family doesn't necessarily want him to end up at Bama. That and the depth chart.

I think that's one of the most likely scenarios. He kinda wants to go to Michigan, but th recent history of player development eg kids getting drafted and the dominance of college football suggest that Bama is the obvious choice. Hope he decides today or tomorrow, or that Clemson wins. Deciding in the potential afterglow of a potential national championship on Monday does not help us.
