Joey Galloway calls our offense old fashioned - Says we have no chance

Submitted by EastCoast Esq. on

Disrespekt! Now I feel motivated to win on Saturday!

Joey Galloway just said that #Michigan's offense looks like something from 1973. Gives U-M no shot to win this weekend.

EDIT: To clarify, I don't care about Galloway's opinion one iota. I'm making fun of MSU's culture of "disrespekt."

Huh? We run an outdated, manball, power offense. So we have no change of beating MSU, who also runs a power offense. That makes no sense.

Is the worst personality on TV and it's not even close. All of his collegues even hate him.

He's worse than Mark May, Skip Bayless, Stephen A., all of them. He was worse than Colin Cowherd.

I'm not exaggerating one bit. He's literally the WORST.

Beth Mullins...EVERYBODY.

A couple weeks back he was called out for ranking Ohio state number one and basically couldn't justify why he was putting them ahead of other teams who had clearly shown more. I'd love to dig up that clip, but basically his credibility is less than zero.

It's funny how people think having an offense that uses FB and TE and wants to run is old fashioned. If it's not the spread, air raid, or west coast offense some people just don't get it. Jim's use of FB/TE/Blocky catchy guys is all about angles but some people just don't care to look at it differently, they see big guys and smash mouth and write it off as ancient.

It's funny because I am a 49er fan and when Harbaugh was hired and started killing it in the NFL people commented how his use of FB/TE and O line blocking schemes and angles were revolutionary. Oh well never listen to little Joey anyway.

It basically sounds like he thinks the offense and Ruddock are terrible.  I think he's underestimating how bad MSU's secondary has been and how many injuries they have.  Ruddock could still have a bad day and Cook a great one, but to be so cut and dry about it without recognizing MSU's weaknesses this year was a poor analysis.

He makes these bold statements of opinion as a professional troll.  Soon they will tire of his schtick and next year he'll be back to dowing MAC games with Beth Mowins and Pam Ward.

The hatred for us runs deep in that guy, so much so that he loses any modicum of objectivity when discussing us from his TV analyst chair.  No surprise.  I met the SOB about fifteen years ago on a golf course at a charity event and he instantly made a disparaging comment about my M cap ("Michigan sucks", in a dismissive, FU tone).

THE FEELING IS MUCH MORE THAN MUTUAL!

'In his fifth year as Michigan's head coach, Bo Schembechler led the team to a 10–0–1 record. It was Michigan's first undefeated season since 1948. The Wolverines outscored their opponents 330 to 68. Michigan was ranked #6 in both post-season polls.  The season ended with a 10-10 tie against Ohio State."

Oh yes, the same type of offense that Joey Galloway played in is old fashion and does not work. Ok then.

Now Galloway says this. Conspiracy says this is a Buckeye plan for influencing the children to not come to Michigan to play offense. Definitely need Woodson on Gameday with Desmond speaking the truth.

This comes one week after DiNardo said, in his 30 years of coaching, he has never seen things Harbaugh does in his offense. Just because it is an I-formation doesn't make it basic. But hey, at least he will be proven right or wrong in two days.

Whose offense is more old school, Alabama or Oregon? Who has won more championships?

When your defense is stout believe it or not it actually makes good sense to run the ball, and control the clock.

Lots of team have not so old fashioned offenses and loose

Galloway doesn't understand Vegas odds and M being a favorite, not does he understand all of the advances statistics that are predicting a M win by a wide margin.
