We dont know where the kid will end up after next year. He could end up in the 6-800 range. Teams win titles with high 4 and 5 stars, but teams can compete with lower rated kids if the rest of the team has really good talent. Reality is, if this kid starts then McCaffrey and McCarthy have both failed as highly ranked qb recruits. Really I'm just saying he can have a place on this team despite his ranking, which he might outplay.

Sounds like a malzone level recruit

I wish Milton the best of luck as long as he doesn’t transfer to our rival Illinois squad.

Glad to have Villari on board but if McCarthy is what he has been talked up to be it should be more of an insurance policy. Personally I'd prefer not having quarterbacks lined up to play one year each rather having a guy come in who could guide the program for 2-3 years.

I think it's a great pick up for Michigan either way. He can play QB well, but could project to TE.

Gattis and Harbaugh have a very talented depth chart already at QB with 3M:

"McCaffrey, Milton, McNamara"

plus Villari now and whoever else they might decide to add from the transfer portal.

Plus there is JJ McCarthy coming in next fall 2021 to Michigan who is a 5-star phenom.

Nice work by the coaches on this one because you need to maximize the competition level at this position to find the best starter to win games. Congrats to Mr. Villari on this opportunity. He'll do well at Michigan.

OK, I got to say this.  This young man has some arm talent, a quick release, throws a nice ball, good mobility, his mechanics are pretty good, has good size, what am I missing here? If he develops, he will start at Michigan.....  I am not a star gazer, but I did not expect his tape to look that good. Call me impressed based on expectations.  Got to know he will have chip on shoulder for being under recruited too.....
