On mobile so not sure how to embed a tweet: https://twitter.com/umichbball/status/1574420084872855552?t=hynkPzX70HokBo-osbamaA&s=09

At the end of the video, the Wolverines huddle around head coach Juwan Howard. Wearing a “Black as Hail” t-shirt, Howard tells them, “We got to get ourselves uncomfortable. When I say ‘bring the juice,’ it’s not just a word or slogan. That means bring the juice.”

Can't wait for roundball! Go Blue!

What are expectations this year? I feel like the team will have some challenges. Lots of new and young contributors. I don't see a shooting threat on the roster.

Just curious where we stack up in the b10

You’re right that they’ll be relying on some young and new faces for contributions. But, any time you have an All-American and All-B1G player on your team, your expectations should be to compete for the B1G title and make a tournament run. That expectation is also made a little more realistic when you take a look around the B1G and see that there aren’t going to be very many strong teams. I think we should all expect Michigan to finish in the top 3-6 of the B1G and make a push for a sweet 16 again. Anything better than that would be a pleasant surprise.

Probably. Expectations were high last year for our shooting prowess, and it was a struggle. So, my expectations are low. I'll be happy to see things improve on the offensive AND defensive ends, quite honestly.

Beilein had built a machine. Year in and year out by the end, our D was great, didnt give up O rebounds, didnt foul, and offense was working well. Would like to see if some of those issues last year were personnel based or Juwan based. I know we ended up with a fun 2 game run in the tourney, but...  assuming a National title is a pipe dream, then lets beat our rivals and win the big10!

I was panned for this take last season but I stand by it.  I think Howard pulled the plug on Johns in the starting lineup too fast.  Johns notoriously took a bit to get up and running and his surges all resulted from periods of time where he was able to build up confidence.  We weren't good early in the season and we weren't beating good non-conference opponents regardless of whether we had good Johns or bad Johns so I would have just played it out.  I think he would have been playing well by the end of the season and I never liked the lineup with Diabate starting next to Hunter.

Michigan Madness October 21 ; don’t know details yet but usually its a free open practice, 3 pt. shooting contest between men’s v. women’s sharpshooter, and “selfie” stations around the concourse.

Related question— How will the WBB be this year? Lost Naz, which is a biiiig loss. Is everyone else back? How was the recruiting class?

Iowa gets Female Steph Curry back IIRC so I would think they are B1G faves.

Question for the board. We will be visiting family over Thanksgiving and will be flying out of DTW on the 30th.  Michigan plays Virginia on the 29th in what I assume will be a later start and we will be staying in Ann Arbor that evening.

I am tempted to take my 3 year old son to that game because he likes watching Michigan basketball with me on the TV (Hunter is his favorite player) and I am wondering if it will be easy to get tickets just before going? Also, what section would be good to sit in with a small child? And finally, is the Graduate a good place to stay for a family of 4?  My wife and 7 month old daughter will also be there but not attending the game.

Any input appreciated.
