03/07/2018 - 5:29pm I believe graduation has always been a requirement.

And Juwan Howard somehow found enough time while playing basketball during the season to graduate on time with his class after leaving a year early.

Said he had all kinds of spare time hanging around in hotel rooms, and decided he might as well put it to good use..

06/25/2017 - 12:23pm Matt: Two things...

First:  Thanks very much for the write-ups.  Very thorough and informative.

Second:  If you'll permit a minor editorial comment, I think the word you may be looking for when you use "stagnant," is "static."

But again, thanks and keep the observations/evaluations coming.

04/18/2017 - 10:46am The Natural History Museum...

Not sure if it's open Saturdays, but it's got some dinosaur skeletons, among other things.

Maybe explore the Arb?

Possibly rent a canoe at Gallup Park.

08/11/2016 - 2:43pm Our sons graduated from UM in 2012 & 2014, respectively...

The older one was a combination of savings, loans, and work study.

The younger one pretty much got everythihg paid for by the University/Math Dept.  No huge scholarship, it just seemed that every time we turned around they were giving him more money.

We were very fortnate.

07/20/2015 - 3:11pm DiCaprio "Lightning in a" Bootle

Get it?

06/24/2013 - 10:10pm He may not be an All-American...

But he's an American Aquarium Drinker, so that's pretty close.

04/23/2013 - 4:43pm Do we know if it's GA by section, or if the entire student

sections will be up for grabs?  If the latter, kind of sucks for upperclassmen.

03/20/2013 - 8:03am I hear...

Per 247, the sperm tadpole "has some wiggle" to his game.

I also hear Kiffin is trying desperately to get him to come.

03/19/2013 - 10:26am Indiana to the West

I think it should be Indiana in the west, because it'll be easier to remember all the "M" schools are in the east and all the "I's" in the west.

11/20/2012 - 9:49pm Heiko: A couple of suggestions for the Borges challenge:

My preference would be calling it the "Double D" package.  But guessing that some might find that a bit risque', how about "D-Squared" ?

08/14/2012 - 6:55am I suggest an experiment...

One or both of you don Michigan shirts and stroll down High St. on campus down there, then don their colors and do the same down State in A2.  See how you're treated.

01/14/2012 - 10:04am How about...

"Hands" Darboh

09/02/2011 - 1:20pm I think you could fit a decent sized

pipe bomb into some lenses.

08/05/2011 - 4:49pm Thanks for posting this.

Once again, thanks.

08/01/2011 - 9:42pm IMO, Sherron Dorsey Walker setting his

IMO, Sherron Dorsey Walker setting his announcement for this week may have been more of a catalyst for Walton than his impending visit to State.

07/17/2011 - 9:05am My guess is Compliance did it...

My guess it Compliance did it because the sooner they paid it, the sooner he'd have to stop using whatever loaner it was the dealership gave him.

06/02/2011 - 7:07pm No, SEC work would be taking his commitment, signing him,

and then dumping him in August.

05/31/2011 - 2:18pm I have read that

the equipment staff/managers stand over the barrels that dirty gear is put in after practice and make sure that every player returns every last piece of equipment issued them that day.

04/13/2011 - 7:29am Beilein did save a scholarship...

That's how he was able to get the late-blooming, Max Bielfeldt.

03/29/2011 - 6:54pm How could everyone be overlooking no. 12 on the list...?

Eddie Huckleby

03/14/2011 - 7:34pm When I first saw the link in your post...

I thought for a second it read, "violation.com." Kind of seems appropriate.

03/05/2011 - 11:55am I'll be there.

Section 26.  I'll be as loud as I can until my voice gives out.  Then maybe I'll start throwing stuff.

01/31/2011 - 8:32pm My guess would be...

that he bounced a few times on the way down, i.e. he didn't do a Wiley Coyote.

12/23/2010 - 1:45pm Even before reading the body of your post...

I was going to say Martin's ankles.

12/23/2010 - 1:12pm Ignorance of the rule is no defense...

unless, of course, it's a buckeye who's ignorant.

12/21/2010 - 4:32pm I don't think it's that hard for a school to tell its players

not to accept free things from local business or boosters.

12/21/2010 - 4:29pm I don't know...

How much do tattoos cost?

12/18/2010 - 7:43am I think the next logical step

I think the next logical step will be some school coming up with a blue screen-type field, so that people watching at home can see monsters, or say, giant wolverines interacting with the players.

12/13/2010 - 7:02pm Would it still be considered integrity...

if it turns out Brandon used this time to secure Harbaugh?

12/11/2010 - 3:10pm I thought Miller showed up on an early participation chart, but

that was later termed an error, and he hasn't played.

12/04/2010 - 8:33am Though I'm going to the game & don't have a ticket...

I'll pass on yours because the 4th row would be wasted on me since I plan to sit with friends once in.  Just wanted to thank you for thinking of mgobloggers (-bloggees?) first.  Go Blue!

11/29/2010 - 6:36pm But I thought that limit didn't apply during two-a-days...

because school isn't in session.  Or is it just that the daily limit--two hours or whatever it is--doesn't apply when school isn't in session, but the 20 hour limit can't be violated at any time.

11/14/2010 - 3:32pm Thought I saw in the subject line of a premium board

that I don' t have access to, that he's headed elsewhere.  Don't know if that means he committed somewhere, or eliminated UM.

09/12/2010 - 8:10pm His seat cools 12.5% per victory

Actually, though my header suggests he needs eight wins, I'm in the camp that thinks he's safe unless disaster strikes because I think Brandon's already spent enough time around him to realize what he's got.

09/12/2010 - 8:05pm I think Rudolph looked behind and slowed...

because he was running out of gas.

09/12/2010 - 4:37pm Anyone notice who was attached at the hip to RR in the tunnel?

None other than David Brandon.

09/10/2010 - 5:11am I heard John Bacon say almost the same thing...

on his Sunday morning WTKA radio show.  It was during the search, when Kirk Ferentz was the hot rumor--so RR wasn't under consideration at all yet.  Bacon said that Bo told him he thought the two best coaches in college football were Kirk Ferentz and Rich Rodriguez.

08/30/2010 - 1:08pm I disagree. In fact, the only way I'd redshirt Devin...

is if I was convinced he WASN'T going to contend for starter next year, because if he is, then I want him to have game experience, which will help THE TEAM.

08/18/2010 - 3:15pm The three that come to my mind would be...

Austin White:  Pretty much Woodson's measurables, was considered a decent safety prospect.  DJ Williamson:  A burner who doesn't have a whole spring under his belt learning receiver, and Jerald Robinson, because his length and competitive attitude might compensate for quickness/"fluid hips" issues.  Obviously none of these would be ideal, but ideal is out for the season.

06/17/2010 - 6:40am Since she wrote that the father wrote all about it on

the scout message board and got a huge response, my guess would be that's how she got wind of it.

06/12/2010 - 7:27am I was firmly in the "goes" camp Thursday night...

But now that it's dragged out and LeBron has said he'd like a coach who's played in the league, I'm convinced he's staying.  Being offered the world and then still needing a couple of days to think about it before accepting, while possibly normal, communicates a lack of confidence and boldness to the Cavs and their fanbase.

06/11/2010 - 6:40pm Though I can't argue with Woolfolk or Roh

My pick is Mouton.

05/27/2010 - 4:22pm Sam Webb has a good way of putting it...

"Haters are gonna hate.  All you can do is give them fewer people to talk to," and the way to do that is by winning.

04/21/2010 - 8:19pm Perhaps better yet: Valdez Showers...

brings January Roses. Doesn't rhyme, but definitely works for me.

04/20/2010 - 11:00am Man I must be losing it, because I listened to the roundup today

Heard him discuss Dee Hart, heard him say it looks really good for us, waited to see if he said he had a "gut feeling", and he didn't say it. Guess the podcast will be the judge.

04/19/2010 - 9:41am Maybe it's both...

There are two openings, you know.

04/18/2010 - 10:25pm It'll definitely be longer...

because the season won't be ending in November for the first time in three years.

04/18/2010 - 10:44am That's not what he said...

He said "in between the white lines."

03/30/2010 - 8:01pm Oh yeah...

Our AD fired him for cheating.

03/30/2010 - 8:00pm Yeah...Whatever happened to the UM coach

who hired him?
