That's a plausible interpretation. But it's not the rationale OSU is offering. They aren't saying, "yup, he's suspended for two weeks but luckily we're on a bye so he only misses one game." Rather, they are saying Barrett isn't subject to the policy at all because he's only charged with a misdemeanor. Which appears to be BS.

Targeting is a good rule in theory, but the implementation is just terrible. If this TT guy gets thrown out it would be ridiculous. You cannot make your head disappear.

The bigger problem with the rule is that it forces officials to judge intent, which naturally causes them to just ignore intent and call it whenever there is contact with the crown of the helmet. The whole rule needs to be rewritten.

The targeting reviews are also becoming a joke. It seems like most of the time they don't wish to overturn it and go against their officiating brothers, even when it looks like it should be clearly overturned.

Rooting interest: Georgia and Texas tech. Also Iowa because on the crazy outside chance we wind up in the Big champ game, we need them to be as high as possible when we play them for the even more outside chance we get into the playoffs.

Everytime I watch georgia I honestly wonder why anyone would want to go there....Georgia constantly recruits at the top of the heap and underachieves on a yearly basis.

Richt has done less with more than any coach in the last 20 yrs.

Agreed. Unless you have a proven winner lined up to replace, can you risk replacing him with a much worse option?

Richt is Georgia's version of Bo Pelini, minus the anger issues. He's good for 8-9 wins a year, but he always shits the bed in every big game he plays, and blows 1-2 games a year that he should win. He should be let go, but only if UGA has a proven better option.

I live in Maryland and I am trying to watch Maryland Iowa game on ESPN streaming now -- "This content is subject to blackout in your area." If I were a Maryland fan, that would be exactly fucking correct.
