2020 DT Denver Warren looking Blue

Submitted by OwenGoBlue on June 18th, 2018 at 4:27 PM

Things are looking promising for the good guys with 2020 DT Denver Warren.

Following a visit there is an actual pile of glowing quotes from Denver and his mother at Isaiah Hole's new WolverinesWire site and also on 247, with the Crystal Balls flooding in as well.

Could be the first 2020 commit and the 3/4 star DT seems like a fan favorite calling his visit to MSU (the prior leader in Crystal Balls) "not even exciting" and saying he "just doesn't belong" there. As expected,  Spartans are Mad Online and all up in his mentions.

Shocked this hasn't been posted yet and chalking that up to new board ennui.

Just re-read the Spartan website piece and it isn't Mad Online anymore; would edit that out if I knew how to. I swear it was snippy when I read it earlier.

Either they edited it or I'm confusing that with some of the mean tweets.

Bingo- the douchey concern trolls only post negative sky is falling stuff.

The sad part is that some of them actually believe they are Michigan fans.  Maizen / Bluey, the guy with the cartoon profile picture and MGrowOld are Michigan fans that just hate the current team and the staff.

Albatross and AK47 are almost certainly Sparties or Buckeyes.

Maaaaan yall are thirsty.  Any chance to bring up maizen and bluey this board gets,  yall don't pass up the opportunity.  It's actually just as bad as their posts. You make the board as unpleasant as them.  It gets old mgoboard, it gets old. But,  hey,  mention them and you're the cool kid i guess.

Sam Webb said this morning that academics are really big for Warren, it's not the typical lip service. I'd guess that's what his MSU comments are about.

In case anyone is wondering, he is from Aurora, Illinois. The first time I read this, I thought he was from Denver, Colorado. The second time I thought he was from Warren, Michigan. Mondays suck.

Strong film.

And regarding all this hand wringing about in-state recruiting, this team has what? three starters from Michigan. And that’s not for lack of trying, considering the roster make-up. I’m fine with 4 star out of state players versus 5 star in-state, and Harbaugh probably sees this too. The talent is lacking in-state.

I had wanted to post, but I figured someone who is more capable than me at posting recruiting highlights/stats would do it (sheer diffusion of responsibility). His Twitter has been blowing up with comments in our favor for the last few days. I think his 247 profile went from an MSU verbal to 75% in our favor. He even alluded to committing soon, so I expect a Hello post in our near future.

I found it amusing that the article also mentioned Warrne joining an interesting list of players who previously were favored to go to MSU, thought apparently not interesting enough to provide even a sprinkling of that list.

Ah well, glad to see he's excited about Michigan.

This dude will be an absolute beast when his arms/chest and shoulders get stronger. Has pretty quick and strong lower body already. Yeah he'll be bad ass. Hope he goes blue!

I like his film, moves well for a guy his size.  Lacks an explosive first step, but if he had that then he would probably be a 5 star.  He also stands up at the snap, but plenty of time to fix that problem.  Hope we get him.
