Harbaugh: Two players have left

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Harbaugh said today Michigan is under its 85 scholarship limit. Asked if anyone has left. He said two have but ‘I’ll let them announce that if they want to.’

Harbaugh says he hasn’t named an OC yet. Hasn’t decided if he will or won’t. Staff will go through more self scout this week and next.

My guess is Walker and Crawford. Walker likely won’t ever be better than third on the depth chart, and may be fourth this year depending on how well Samuels is pushing himself into the mix.

And then Crawford may be getting overtaken by last year’s class. He’s shown flashes of potential but just hasn’t been consistent.

I really hope a young RB shows some flashes this year. Higdon is an every down back type and Evans is the perfect spell with his versatility. Hopefully we see something from Walker, Samuels, or Taylor to point forward to the future

Besides Shea, does Michigan have any other good quarter backs? What are your thoughts on the halo built into Michigan Stadium in 1998? Is their anything on the diag you would avoid stepping on? Which university started the forward pass? Where is the building that houses student clubs? Who would you rather have back, Woodson or Jake Long? What was the worst loss UM had in football?

why hast though gone back to the genetalia obsession? You seem quite fixated. Also, you are wishing for power that you do not possess.

I'm sorry, sir toll, if you feel that I am talking.... feces to you, but you see, even though your posts are not all trolling, you are indeed a troll.  When your account implodes, and I perdict it will, I want it well documented that you had been identified as such well in advance, your trolliness.

Your last statement is rife with irony.

If needed to get to scholarship limit, a 5th yr player w/o major to-date playing time would seem like a good candidate to "leave".

point.  And I was wondering if people are throwing out Kareem Walker as a name - why hasn't anyone mentioned Kurt Taylor?

Don't follow the program as closely as others - but on the face of it, he seems as likely a candidate as Walker...

I hadn't even read a peep ever about Kurt Taylor being unhappy and/or transferring.

1. That one fella who’s not starting; 2. The guy with the hair; 3. The player who was really good in high school but whose college career hasn’t gone the way he’d hoped.

I just saw a report that when Harbaugh discussed running back depth, he didn’t mention Walker. Might have just been oversight, but given everything else . . .

But the third may be Wheatley. I think he is currently the number 4 or 5 TE. Too bad he got injured last season. I was hoping he would be the one to replace Butt as the go to TE who could both block and receive well.

Regardless of the 2 (or 3) names we’re about to hear, I will be disappointed to find out that the player i hoped to see achieve greatness in that winged helmet will no longer don it.

Potential transfers, along with inevitable decommits and impending coaching searches are a few of the things that always seems to get this fanbase jacked up!

Hmmm....maybe that's why they keep happening....

are those whose absence will not have a meangingful impact on the team. I think he was implying they were offense, but I'd have to listen to the podcast to be sure.

I still think Wheatley would make an outstanding OT. His frame is massive and he could hold 300lbs easy and move real well. And while we’re on the topic I also think Ryan Hayes’ most upside is undoubtedly as an OL as well.
