was only a 3rd rounder for next year. So one for one - and next year is next year. Worth the risk for this level of potential - though untapped over past couple of years...
LaMarr was First Team All-American, Da'Shawn was...what?
but then he matriculated at Alabama
in the 4th round. Especially not for this guy. He's not make-or-break.
hes not good, hows that for a reason not to trade up?
there just isn't going to be that much difference between the guy you get by giving something up, and the guy you would have gotten if you hadn't traded up. Maybe none. First round, maybe. But not here. There's a reason why they alot less time to picks on Day 3.
If you got positives to say, here's the place to say them, ya got some moanin' to do, get that done as well...
to get their fanbase juiced up are off the rails.
as do many other folks on this thread. Then there are folks like you who like to talk about us...
Why aren't they making picks in accordance with all the mock drafts I read?!?! /s
Well, if nothing else, this time we know for certain that Hand's flight into DTW will be one where he's coming to the state of Michigan to actually play some football.
The third round pick by the Lions is still the one that irritates me - not a top need and a guy that, by most measures, was way overdrafted (5th / 6th round on many boards).
and their draft this year made me change my mind about the Lions. They are no longer the most incompetent franchise in the NFL. Who reaches at #1 and #4?
I know zero about the NFL, so I'm just asking out of pure ignorance.
Could the Browns have taken two QBs with #1 and #4 and then turned around and auctioned one (or even both) of them, the next day, or until they find a deal they like?
But if there are good players available, it's probably best to get that guy. There are only going to be so many teams that need a quarterback that also have what you need and can give you what you want for the quarterback you don't want.
Cleveland's GM.
Pretty ingenious if you ask me. Just think of it as trading down for the #1 pick next year.
the Lions got a 2nd round talent with their 5th pick, Tyrell Crosby. Great pick.
We'll see how they all work out...
If you are going to blame lack of production on the system from him then how the hell can you evaluate any player anywhere?
they don't necessarily get a lot of actual sacks.
with a high of 3 as a senior. So if you actually believe he is a pass rusher you must be a Lions fan.
Undrafted guys and low picks do make rosters.
had a lot of red flags
Blount and Abdullah have contracts that end after 2018 so Johnson was a good pick
I would like some more depth at DL with the last 2 picks but BPA should be fine
remember the draft complements what they did in FA, where they signed a DT, 2 LB's and a CB
