Police investigating Elysee Mbem-Bosse for death threat against Harbaugh
The mainstream media is starting to pick this story up now and apparently police are investigating the account.

to be flirting with a very dangerous and fine line with the statements I read. It's OK to be upset, but you can do so without threatening to call the morgue. I hope for his sake this can be resolved, or he may have brought himself on a world of hurt.
Not mentioned is that he was asking Angelique what time coaches media availablity ended and if anyone can go to them.
Yup I was going to add the same thing. She obviously told him it was for media.
I would say this is more than just walking a fine line.
Something is seriously not right with him.
All of his deleted tweeted together make for a imminent threat of violence which is illegal. He stated a target, a time, a method of killing, a reason (rather unlcear but still), etc. He needs to be arrested
Not the time for a snarky comment.
I can't imagine he'll be charged as there are no direct threats.
But, an exit post is pretty much inevitable.
Doesn't feel good. I was angry at his age also.
Hopeful he finds whatever he needs to succeed elsewhere.
Edit: and apparently I missed the exit post.
You need to take a step back and re-evaluate your priorities mate.
The "He needs help" line was not there when I initally went to reply, assuming he edited it (though I may have just missed it.) That said doesn't change much. Hearing about this situation and getting worried about how haters may respond is such a weird ass response to me.
Statement from Michigan athletics: "Elysee (Mbem-Bosse) left the football program in mid-November and is no longer with the team."

Yeah, we are not staee who openly violates privacy laws regarding our (former) students.
Hope he can get some help.
Exactly. Don't know what his situation is other than no longer being with the team. I hope he has someone in his corner that can step and and talk to him/guide him/get him any help, etc.
Sounds like he's suffering a real mental breakdown. Hopefully the tweets are a cry for help rather than reflective of actual intent.
Unfortunately cries for help and intent often go hand in hand.
A "cry for help," as in, saying stuff to get attention? Well, if that's what he wanted, he's got it. But when people get caught up in emotions like anger, some of them lose their filters, and start doing and saying things that they will regret for a long time.
Oftentimes, a person shouting "Hey I'm going to do this bad thing" is often doing so because they have no other way to ask for help. They want someone to step in and stop it. If you're supposed to be a big tough football player how do you admit that you feel weak, sick, in pain, etc, except it's not physical? He hasn't actually hurt anyone, and did seem to suffer a personal tragedy. Getting kicked off a football team is nothing--you can just transfer someplace else and play. So what else is going on there? Maybe it's because I teach and I'm receptive to kids with troubles and the way they may react with self-harm, but I'll choose sympathy for now.
Oh, I know what you mean. I've dealt with quite a bit of it myself. However, there's too much we don't know about his situation, and might never know, to understand everything.
My point was more that people who are following base emotional impulse may be more in "cry-for-help" mode but are still capable of doing some pretty dangerous things. Some suicide attempts, for example, are "cries for help." Sadly, not all of them fail as intended.
there is a problem there, and hopefully someone can help him. Glad the police are looking into it because too many times these kinds of things do turn violent and just make a bad situation much worse.
The threatening tweets he put out there could land him in serious trouble, but hopefully it leads to help.
I have a family member who is severly bi-polar and showed these same traits/and said similar damning things. We got this family member help immediately..it was a bumpy road.. and while he still needs to be ontop of his medication and therapy sessions...he is living mostly a normal life keeping it in check.
I see similariries here.....make sure he and everyone is safe, offer to help.
and that's why determining what is a real threat and what isn't is so difficult for law enforcement. The ratio of threats to self and others to real action is incredibly large.

I believe these are study days leading up to finals later this week. Maybe the stress of finals is getting to him. Being removed from the team I'm sure was a blow that made him question his future plans. Now, at the end of the school year, if he's been struggling academically (I know, speculative, not casting aspersions but casting about for some scenario that helps to explain the situation) he may be looking at a negative situation there too. Maybe he lashes out at someone he thinks is responsible for his troubles.
This is a really ridiculous post.
It's not like we were ranked #2 and winning on our secondary rival's home field less than 2 years ago.
Seeing your join date you probably weren't on the bandwagon but 2014 was the utter definition of a circus.
"Is it possible that theres more to this story that we dont know beyond a former player having a meltdown"
Sure, it's possible.
Is it possible that some people who love controversy and made-up drama are desperate for some kind of juicy scandal, like little kids lifting up rocks in the hope that there's something wiggly underneath?
Same answer.
