JB values seniority over talent. We did the same thing last year with duncan starting over dj wilson. Poole and livers need to get way more minutes. Brooks or simmons drive the offense more even if they are newcomers to the team.

Instead of running the offense decided to dribble and try and play hero ball instead of sharing the ball like the first half. Literally a whole team collectively losing their heads.

Ohio State has their biggest comebacks in both football and basketball in just over a week. No words can truly describe the horrendousness of leading by 20 with only 2 minutes left in the first half and losing by 9. The Silverdome only wishes that it could implode so well.

Last 5 min was really disappointing from Beilein’s job- Simpson and Robinson on the floor when needing athletes, stops, and functional offense.

Even last two min there was no O for D Sub or vice versa. Shockingly poor game management the entire 2nd half but more pronounced the last 5 min

Dakich getting quality minutes is the biggest laugher of it all- bad thing is he was the best PG out there last 5 min.

Simpson should be at a mid major at best and poor Mr Robinson...well, JB has way too much faith in him. He should never be man to man and they should run 1-3-1 with him at the top when he’s in.

Beilein: 2 Big Ten titles, 1 final four, 1 elite eight, 7-7 vs MSU, 5-7 vs OSU Izzo: 1 Big Ten title, 1 final four, 1 elite eight Matta: 2 Big Ten Titles, 1 final four, 1 elite eight I chose 2010 simply to give Beilein a couple of years - Matta and Izzo well established at that point. Obviously both Izzo and Matta good records in the years before. I think he has done just fine against his rivals. He is tinkering and the young kids will start to play and this team will improve.

Beilein tends to ride with his veterans when we are in a funk.  Sometimes that works other times... this happens.

Think Poole and Brooks should have played more, but I dunno.  It's frustrating they played so well in the first half and then just sucked in the second half.  Stopped playing together it felt like.

It fucking sucks, but I've learned to never judge a Beilein Michigan basketball team until February.

It’s hard to overcome recruiting misses. If Robinson and Simpson were recruiting wins (or if they manage to drastically improve quickly), this is a solid team. Early entries make the Beilein system very hard to succeed consistently, as it relies on mid-level talent and takes a long time to develop. It’s not surprising that this team is struggling early, but these two losses are going to be very hard to overcome. Coach B teams have done it before, but it’s tiring to watch this same thing every year.

This is a classic January Beilein team performance, only we are getting it in December.

Maybe when they go on their March tear, it will be in February.

This is frustrating as hell, but if they play the youth more and make a decent run it will be funny to see the same people under different user names claiming they believed all along.  As far as the game, Wagner isn't NBA material, Poole should start over Robinson, and Matthews had a bad game.  This team needs a point guard and I wonder why the kid isn't being given the reigns.  I also expected better from Simmons, but it makes you wonder how complicated Beilein's system is and how anal he is about it.

It's a fucking inexcusable shit game, but shit games happen in sportsball.  /shrug.  That said, I'm going to be apopletic if this same weak-ass shit happens in Ann Arbor when they come here.

Got some good young players and a good recruiting class next year. Mo is the only big loss and if teske continues to develop less mo minutes might be a positive on the defensive side. Just looks like a rebuilding year, beilein had them before and it’s ok to have. Just gonna be a mediocre sports year
