Every year Osu has better o linemen, d linemen, and superior qb play. They get up for big games, we don’t. I think Harbaugh will have to strap on the fucking iron jock after all the media pressure he’s gonna get after losing to Ohio state and being 1-5 vs rivals. Maybe if he spent less time jumping in the pool in his street clothes or sleeping over at recruits houses we’d be able to pick up a blitz or actually pass block. This game is not even fun to watch anymore. Osu will destroy us.

Back in the day when I was a pretty frequent gambler I would stay away from the spreads and the over/under. Too many shady calls happen that make or break your bet. For instance, the Lions/Packers game a few weeks ago where the ref threw a BS flag in a meaningless situation on the last play of the game. It was meaningless because no matter what happened, the Lions were going to win the game regardless. The Packers got an untimed down and ended up getting a touchdown, so if you took the over you suddenly "won." It was all about the moneyline. Straight up winner.

But I would never say we are going to get stomped or we don't have a chance.  Hurst and McCray playing their last game in Ann Arbor, I expect the defense to really bring the heat.  Hopefully, the offense can do just enough.  That's the plan.  Can't wait to be back in the Big House to cheer the boys on.

I give us a chance in this game, but really only because weird shit happens in rivalry games. Even Hoke’s teams woke up for this game and pushed them to the brink.

Unless Peters can play (and even if he can), some weird shit is going to need to happen in this game Michigan to pull the upset. Blocked punts, pick sixes, Barrett fumbles deep in OSU territory, etc. But I feel like it has to be Peters at the helm for this to happen. Say what you will but this is a different team with him under center. With O’Korn, the offense just looks lost.

If O’Korn gets the nod next Saturday, I have a hard time seeing us even keeping the game respectable. Much less winning.

You do realize that if it rains out any passing game our offense will basically be what it was against wisconsin without any passing? Nonexistent.

OSU could never throw the ball and they would probably still put up a few td's.

Our defense isn't the issue, our defense is ELITE. But, OSU is absolutely going o score. We don't need anything to hamper OUR offense. As long as Meyer is there, beating OSU is going to be about scoring lots of points. It would be an ABSOLUTE shock if we held OSU to less than 20.

As in lost consciousness. Perspective. Is it worth the risk? Same goes for Speight. So JOK plays and we lose. Or even get blown out. How would even an upset win feel if either Speight or Peters suffered another head/neck injury?

was more of a bigger mismatch on paper than next Saturday game. Bo found a way to upset the number 1 team in the country. I hope Harbaugh can! WTF if IA can blowout OSU at home you would think there is a chance we can beat OSU at home.

Yes, the 1968 team (with Ron Johnson who had rushed for 347 yards against Wisconsin the week earlier) was #4 at the time of the game in Columbus. Ohio State was #2, and their Super Sophmores blew out Michigan 50-14 (Woody went for 2 "because he couldn't go for three"). Michgian dropped to #12.

1969, with losses to Missouri and MSU, Michigan was ranked #12 going into the game, but they were looking for revenge...and got it.

Predicting Michigan win. Home game which is proven to tilt the scales significantly. This team is beatable. Witness Iowa. It will happen. Only caveat is Peter’s health.
If o’Korn no win.

Its going to take some hard work forcing OSU to start to abandon their early-down ground game and start passing...and then ts going to take some route jumps to pick off a Barrett throw.  Get that first interception and I think he starts questioning himself.

If the Locked-in, Good JT Barrett shows up dropping dimes there's not much chance.

If the Bad JT Barrett shows up then we have a really good chance.

I'm openly wondering if Khaleke has the speed to Spy Barrett on runs...I know he can apply the hits...

In our offense, Ive seen some good steps forward in the run game, I've seen some good steps forward in pass protection this year.  I like our ability to go super beefy and two deep on the line and pickup 1 yard in sort of a scrum when we really need it.  But the QB is still taking huge shots on unblocked blitzers which is recipe for big problems.

Its going to take hitting some deep balls, I've thought that maybe we should trot out on our first possession and throw three fly routes on the first three plays and make them worry about the deep pass.  Even if we go three and out the shot is across the bow.  Maybe then we can run some if the safeties aren't creeping downhill on the snap on early downs.

Ambry Thomas seems really fast and I'd like to see him in place of McDoom at least once.  Not on jet sweep but on downfield shot.

Bottom line is we need a game like we haven't seen played yet this season....

I think if Peters was miraculously in good enough condition to play (analogy: not limping around like Clemson did to K. Byrant vs Syracuse) that might be the spark we need.  I wouldn't rule out WS3 as being able to hit enough short passes to keep us in it though.

Nobody is going to run the ball against Ohio State if they are just allowed to pack the box.  If we can't back them off, it will be over early.

If O'Korn is starting, we might as well just arm punt early to the receiver with single coverage and hope for PI or some miracle bobble and catch.  That's about all we can do to back them off.

We don't match up well here folks.
