MGoFastFood Vote
Year 1 - MGoCereal: Results
Summary: Cinnamon Toast Crunch is king, Brian Cook as a cereal mascot, and a vicious debate in the comments about whether you pour the milk or cereal first.
Year 2 - MGoHalloweenCandy: Results
Summary: People like Reese's, candy corn sucks, and something about candied genitalia.
Year 3 - MGoFastFood
It's time for the 3rd installment of my divisive, food-based poll series. This time the focus is on fast food joints.
Rules:
1. Click the link and type in your answers to the following questions:
What is the best fast food chain?
What is the worst fast food chain?
What is the most overrated fast food chain?
What is your favorite fast food menu item?
I'll count up all the horrible misspelled results and post them here on Saturday before Minnesota(actually Monday it turns out) along with some notable responses. Poll ends sometime Friday evening.
2. No rules. If you want to rally the Ronald McDonald/Colonel Sanders slashfiction subreddit for votes, that's fine. The poll is set up to only accept one survey per device. if you break that to rig a dumb poll like this, it says a lot about you.
3. I don't care how you or anyone else defines a fast food restaurant. If it's a fast food restaurant to you, go ahead and put it in the poll.
The poll is here. Go crazy.
Poll is closed, don't click there.

Jack in the Box is the worst for me.
But I just can't turn down a Taco Bell Meximelt. Damn, those things are tasty.

They have the best commercials though. Plus I appreciate that their marketing targets pot smokers instead of children.

We used to get the Tacos when I lived in Missouri, and would bring them back 100 at a time after visiting. They are gross but amazing at the same time.

If I'm looking for something good, I can't think of any fast food that really fits the bill. I do agree with others, thought, that Subway has to be among the worst.

Good: Five Guys, El Pollo Loco, Burgerville
Overrated: In-N-Out
Dangerous: Chipotle

I voted Rally's as the best, but first I had to do a Google search to verify that Rally's still exists.

In-and-Out is by no means the best, but I will get it every time i visit the west coast because I cannot get it where I live. I have fond memories of the two 2x2s i got after the Rose Parade.
I think Shake Shack is by far the most over rated in that space to the point that I won't go there anymore. Five guys is the best of the fast burger joints.
Though only people from new england will have been there, I put Clover as my favorite. It's good enough that a voracious carnivore like myself will eat there 3 times a week despite it being vegiterian only.

When In-N-Out came to Tucson 8 or so years ago, my wife -- the queen of burger/fries -- latched on and wouldn't let go. But she has since released her grip on In-N-Out, and now favors Culver's. She thinks the fries at In-N-Out are disappointing, and she is WAY into good french fries. Johnny Rocket french fries are her favorite, but that went out of Tucson a few years ago.
I find In-N-Out to be merely "meh." Five Guys burgers are good.
Lately I've become addicted to the Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich and a baked potato. That's my go-to fast food meal.

Taco Bell is my favorite and I don't care what anyone says about it. You're right. It's still my favorite. Also, Long John Silvers is the worst and if you didn't vote for it to be the worst that's because you forgot about it.
November 1st, 2017 at 12:25 PM ^
... is so bad their name didn't come to mind when I thought about bad fast food places. It's been years since I've been there. I'll get a gas station sushi before I'll go to Long John Silvers.

Lmao, I completely forgot about Long John Silvers. Hopefully that's the next thing the millennials kill.

I have recently been there only because where I live there's one mixed with an A&W and my kids claim to have never been to A&W which is a travesty. My wife mistakenly got fish. Would have been better off with a root beer float for lunch.
November 1st, 2017 at 9:19 PM ^
I love Taco Bell and aside from when I'm starving when my kids get McNuggets, it's pretty much the only fast food I eat (I don't really consider Chipotle or Panera to be fast food, but if you do, then I eat at those places every once in a while).
November 1st, 2017 at 11:44 AM ^
Best: Chipotle
Worst: Mc Donalds
Overrated: It's fast food, I am not sure it's highly rated.
Best Item: Checkers Fries
Never been to Chick-FIl-A. Their commercials make me crave beef, so each time I think about it, I end up eating a steak instead.
November 1st, 2017 at 11:53 AM ^
Next year: best pizza (which is Lou Malnatti's and it's not close). Also, wish it had an underrated so I could vote for steak and shake.
November 1st, 2017 at 12:15 PM ^
My wife loves steak and shake and will make me stop whenever we pass one. Luckily, there are none in the northeast where we live
November 1st, 2017 at 12:45 PM ^
Yeah, why no underrated category? I'd throw out White Castle as a candidate there.
November 1st, 2017 at 2:02 PM ^
Raising Cane's for underrated. Their menu is too limited to be the best.
November 1st, 2017 at 2:17 PM ^
Raising Cane's is certainly not underrated. It's hugely popular.

I voted best as Arby's, worst is White Castle, overrated Taco Bell, and best item being the beef and cheddar from Arby's.
November 1st, 2017 at 12:15 PM ^
You animal.
November 1st, 2017 at 12:51 PM ^
So damn good. Arby's sauce...ugh. Now I need some Arby's.
November 1st, 2017 at 4:42 PM ^
I will give you that the best sauce among fast food sauces might just be bronco berry sauce.

I'd love a whopper with McD's fries. BK fries are not tasty.
November 1st, 2017 at 4:43 PM ^
I have gotten a thickburger at Hardees and then gone to MCD for fries multiple times for my wife before. And she wasn't even pregnant at the time.

Best: Popeyes is clearly the best fast food and I would say their spicy fried chicken is better than 75% of the fried chicken I've eaten in regular restaurants.
Worst: Probably BK but McD's is pretty damn close. At least McD's has the delicious mcnugget and a sausage mcmuffin with egg but they are dead to me once they dropped the hot mustard sauce. I don't think I would want anything on the BK menu. Either way, I haven't been to a McD's, BK or Wendys in years.
Overrated: Five Guys. Not sure how anyone can proclaim its a good burger (not to mention any crazies that thing its great) and way too expensive for a bland, greasy patty. I dont care how fresh or made to order it is, the burger sucks. I would also add In 'n' Out. InO is at least a damn fine burger but not worth going out of the way far. Their fries suck.. and don't tell me to order then well done because that just make shitty, burnt fries. You are better off just getting a second burger animal style than wasting stomach space on shit fried.
Best Item: Clearly a spicy thigh from Popeyes...

It has been 15+ years since I had a burger from McDonald's and it was completely inedible, but at least they have decent fries and breakfast menu. Burger King on the other hand has nothing edible there. Wendy's is tolerable, and I get a craving for the Baconator once a year/every other year. I love In-N-Out burgers but their fries suck. Everything sucks at 5 guys. For a burger I prefer the regional chains such as SmashBurger or Burger Me.
I'm a big fan of Chipotle/Qdoba or Baja Fresh. [Taco Bell and Del Taco are gross, especially sober].
I don't mind Subway, but it has definitely gone downhill over the 20+ years I've eaten there. I wish there were a Potbelly's near me because that is the best sandwich chain. Wich wich is decent as well. I'm always disappointed with Jimmy Johns.
I went to Chik-Fil-A once. I won't be going back.

hipster.

Did you know Jeff Goldblum uses orange juice instead of milk?
November 1st, 2017 at 5:07 PM ^
I'd say In-N-Out is vastly superior to every other burger place. Culvers is probably a safe 2nd, with Whataburger probably 3rd. I like Five Guys, but it's way overpriced. And as much as I ove getting a ton of fries, theirs are average.
I'm a big, big fan of In-N-Out fries, but McDonalds is close, and I'd kill for Culvers cheese curds.
As far as most overrated, I'd say Jimmy Johns. Their food is garbage.
And best single food? Chick-fil-A Spicy Chicken sandwich (no pickles).
