Hey what happened to the every snap videos for Michigan games? I haven't seen any this year.

Upon review, remember to @ Harbaugh and Brian with any/all suggestions.

Of the two potential "every snap" videos, the one of their offense is the far less relevant one. I'd rather see the video and honest discussion of their defense.
They have 1 major safety weakness, and Frey is weak in coverage. Beyond that, Scott and Layne have shown real talent at corner and they've been solid against the run. This is far from the cluster we anticipated in the offseason

The key is the middle of the field against MSU. As you said, Chris Frey and their safeties are a liability. McKeon and Gentry are going to be key because Justin Layne is pretty solid as a corner so he may be able to lock up DPJ/Crawford.

MSU is meh, but I'm honestly surprised how well they've played against (my) expectations. I seriously didn't expect them to beat Iowa, so I'm not sure if Iowa is that bad (and by extension PSU isn't especially good either) or MSU has done a hell of a lot better than I thought they could.
Even though it might not be thought of that way by the CFB community in general, this could be Mork's best coaching job ever, keeping together a team that had so much turmoil in the offseason to form some semblance of a cohesive unit that might win half of its games and qualify for a bowl game.

I wouldn't judge PSU by how they played at Iowa at night in any way. That place is dangerous.

their corners are not good. they've played total garbage passing offenses. I hope OKorn is prepping and ready to exploit this.

Why would anyone watch any part of that game. I'll save you some time:
Iowa utterly shat the bed. Probably should have won, but were too fucking terrible to do so.

For how much they love to rip us for "September Heismans," they sure are having quite the fappening over Lewerke. Not saying the guy doesn't have some tools and won't end up being pretty decent, but he's 3-3 as a starter with the three wins coming against two MAC teams and "meh" Iowa. To hear them talk, neither Speight nor O'Korn even belong on the same field as this surefire All-Big Ten QB.

They're State fans on the internet. The bar is low.

I'd call their defense surprisingly solid, at least against the run.
There Offense is 90% Lewerke however, not just his passing but particularly his scrambling.
They will live or die depending on how hot he plays, as their D can keep them moderately close.
I think getting to Lwerke early & often should be number one on Michigan's list. Rattle him and it's going to be a very enjoyable game.

the "against the run" part is huge though. No one has tested them through the air. Not sure we can either, but I like what I saw with our TEs downfield and OKorn throwing. Black would have had 1-2 long catches or TDs sadly :(

65 carries for 107 yards between the two teams. Admittedly, I didn't remove sacks. There were five in the games, so 60 for like 130 is probably more accurate. Regardless, it was grisly.

Yeah, I recall hearing one team had 2.0 YPC and the other had 1.8 YPC. That's brutal.

Was actually impressed with Lewerke. MSU moved the pocket a lot against Iowa and Lewerke seemed smart with the run and the pass. He seemed to be able to go through his progressions and was surprisingly accurrate.
Just watching the offensive snaps I would have guessed that MSU dominated Iowa. The Iowa defense looked a lot slower than Michigan's has looked.
Other observations:
1. MSU took the ball right down the field on Iowa on the first drive of the game. Seemed very similar to the way MSU moved the ball right down the field against Michigan last year on the first drive.
2. Lots of misdirection from MSU. This is where most of their running yards came from. Maybe 1-2 runs up the middle for more than a few yards.
3. Wide receiver Felton Davis had a great game against Iowa. He looks dangerous, especially in the red zone.

My suggestion is to watch defense vs ND. It is somwhat accurate to what our offense will look like against them.
Our OL will be collapsing per usual, but if O'Korn can continue staying calm, finding space, and generating time like he did against Purdue, we will be in business.
Their secondary looks easy to shake off, so we can get yards after O'Korn (hopefully) connects some passes.

but Okorn ≠ Wimbush.

I am an Iowa fan by proxy and watched most of that game the other night and what I saw was nothing but pure, unadulterated SLUDGEFART.

Watched the MSU offense vs Iowa D. Not very impressed with either.
No real run game except for Lewerke planned runs or scrambles. Pass game was iffy. His accuracy, even without pressure, is inconsistent. MSU O-line will have problems with M D-line. Not as impressed with MSU #18 as some MSU fans appear to be. He wasn't covered very closely on most of his receptions.
In sum, my concern level has dropped. Now, to watch the MSU D.
