but Im sure JH is getting these boys ready as if they were playing Bama. Doesnt matter how many guys they suspended, go out and attack like it was for the B1G...

If this game was say our 3rd of the year, I would have a smidge of worry with some players being like "10 players suspended, oh we got'em, this gonna be cake walk"

Since this is the first game, man o man, the fellas are going to be amped as hell and Florida might not be beacuse of all this.

A more accurate thought experiment would be:

"What if Kekoa Crawford and Chris Evans were suspended, rumors are out there that Ty Isaac is going to be supspended, Mason Cole is dinged up and only playing at about 80%, and what if there was a legit 3 way battle between Speight/JOK/Peters to the point that Harbaugh was likely to rotate up to all 3 during the game?

And also the DL line we are playing in 3 days is OSU's starting DL?"

That's a more accurate statement.  And yes, I'd be freaked out.

In my mind, this game has moved into the "must win" column.  We could still certainly lose because Florida has some excellent raw talent on their team.  But the only way they win is if they absolutely STONEWALL our offense, or if we absolutely stink up the joint & turn the ball over multiple times & botch one or two big special team plays.

If we play even close to our potential, we should win this game.

Couldn't have happened to a better conference, on a national stage, Week 1...Michigan better not let up in this game. Can't slip up here fellas, especially now.

It isn't quite MSU loss levels in terms of starters/contributors.  But on the other hand, MSU had all off season to prepare for that scenario.  Some of this is unfolding just 3 days before kickoff--one of which is a travel day.

If it's true the 2nd string RB may also be suspended, I'd hate to be that 3rd string back trying to brush up on the playbook & get my pass protections/blitz pickups down.

I believe that the SEC is taking notes:

Do not schedule a legitimate opponent week 1 because you must factor in 10-20% of your roster being suspended for theft, robbery, rape, drugs.

It's much better to schedule a cupcake so that the 1 game they get suspended for is non-consequential.

So does that mean the backup RB who was talking smack on twitter is geting all the carries? LOL his words may come back to haunt him. He may be very sore after the game.

This is awesome. They now have lost their leading tackler, #1 WR, #1 RB and they have a Freshman QB

McElwaine pulling out the old Monopoly get out of jail free card.  Knows he's going to end up getting obliterated, so suspend as many players as possible so you have an excuse when you do get killed.  Atleast the shark will be there to comfort him.

It would be better if they lost some line starters. Surely, the playmaker losses matter but losing O-line pieces with a Freshman QB would have really moved the needle.

This game might turn out to have the youngest starters of any opening week game in college football. Hence, I don't think it's predictable either way even with the suspensions.
