Yup, thanks! BTW, in Peyton's best year, he was at 5.5 - 2015 55/10.

Pick any chart. It's pretty much Brady and everyone else. Best I've ever seen. Most likely the best I'll ever see.

he's the definition.
wish we'd used him better when he was here - could've won a title with him.

Were we good enough to beat FSU in 1999?
...Maybe.
(We did win a title with him on the roster, in 1997, of course)

That chart makes me wonder if Houston is glad they paid for Osweiler?
HAHAHAHAHAAA!!!
Nevermind. I kid...

Yep, they somehow dished out a metric ton of cash, and still ended up with a worst QB than Brian Hoyer.

So another year of this clownshow put on by Rick Smith? Sometime I wish the defense should just get up and leave town. This offense is offensive to them.

Let' not act like Chicago, Minnesota or Detroit have been all that good during Rodgers career either. Divisional games are just half the 16 game schedule my man. The Pats have played tougher schedules due to their success during Bradys reign. Rodgers has also had a fleet of elite receivers compared to Brady's ever changing patchwork of receivers. Rodger is great and probably a Hall of Famer but he's not Brady not matter what facts you cherry pick.
December 20th, 2016 at 10:21 AM ^
Also, what fleet of elite receivers has Rodgers had in his career? The best he's had in his career are Driver, Jennings, and Nelson. Surely those are comparable to Brady's Moss, Welker, Edelman, and Gronkowski.
December 20th, 2016 at 8:50 AM ^
...is that the NFL has been subtly tweaking the rules for over two decades in favor of the passing game. In theory, passing becomes "easier" each year. Brady played seven full seasons before Rodgers became a starter.
So while they're kinda contemporaries, they also kinda aren't.

go look at Rodger's stats since deflategate. HIs efficiency has tanked.
If you remember, he was the one that admitted to always trying to over-inflate footballls - as in like on purpose, every game. No penalties ever came his way, though.....

but these 2 years since deflate gate have had him at his lowest yards, completion %, and worst TD:TO ratios since his first season as a starter. Correlation/Causation and all but it'd be telling if that trend continues
December 19th, 2016 at 11:32 PM ^
For that matter, I must have missed the OP discussing historic TD/INT data. Seems like you just kinda pulled that one out of your ass, bucko.
December 19th, 2016 at 11:24 PM ^
December 20th, 2016 at 9:37 AM ^
AR: 4580 career attempts; 381 att/yr; 572 max attempts in a yr; 289/72 TD/INT=4.0
TB: 8164 career attempts; 480 att/yr; 637 max attempts in a yr; 450/152 TD/INT=2.9
Rogers's advantage in TD/INT ratio is clear, although Brady has been much more efficient in his last ten years than his first seven years.
The maximum number of attempts in any given year for Rogers is 572, a number that Brady has exceeded seven times. Will Rogers's ratio be the same as today's after he throws 3500 more passes?
Regardless, Rogers has been without equal in NFL history in TD/INT ratio; I've looked up the most notable QBs dating back to the '50s—Bobby Layne, Otto Graham, Y.A. Tittle, Bart Starr, Johnny Unitas, Joe Montana—and none of them even approach Brady, let alone Rogers.
December 20th, 2016 at 10:13 AM ^
Historically I'd say it's hard to compare QB's of the last 10-15 years to QB's that played before then. The rules on defensive pass intereference are so tilted to favor the offense now it's not even funny. Back when Layne, Graham, Title, Starr, Unitas (and to some extent Montana) were playing the pass intereference rules were completely different. Before 1978 there was almost no such thing as pass interference.

The "deflategate" fiasco will end up adding 2 seasons to Tom Brady's career. The 4 game break allowed him to recharge a bit, play with his kids... work out on his own terms and get focused. Shit like Roger Goodell are what Tom thrives on. He will play until he is 43 or 44 and shatter every NFL record by the time that he is done, yards, TD passes, rating, SB rings etc.
December 20th, 2016 at 8:20 AM ^
Plus he got to head to Italy for some nude sunbathing with Gisele (please suspend me too!!), not a bad way to vacation. GOAT = 2016 MVP, how could it be anyone else? The best part will be watching Pig Vomit goodell hand Brady the SB 51 MVP trophy.
