It's Isaiah Wilson day

Haven't seen anyone else CB him to Georgia since the 2 on Wednesday. Still nervous though, any late buzz regarding his decision?

is it just me or is this the most stonefaced group of top ranked recruits we've ever seen? I mean damn at 18 years old I would have been spilling the beans and gossiping about where I was going. A lot of these top guys are not tipping their hats in any direction.

The 2nd looks like it was just  piggy back onto Bartow's ball and Bartow doesn't seem to sure of his pick either. All signs point to blue but I will remain nervous

This is from an article on a UGA site.

What have I been told that I can share? I’ve had multiple sources tell me they feel he will announce he’s heading to Georgia at that Poly Prep school assembly. His official visit went that well.
But there’s some intrigue to that. I do feel those credible sources do feel that he’s coming to Georgia. That’s what they have been led to believe.

That said, the issue here to me is if what they were told was actually genuine.

I’ve picked up some Intel from Big 10 recruiting writers I know. They feel that this late trumped-up interest was requested by Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh to drum up increased national and regional interest in Wilson’s choice.

That will only maximize the eventual get for his Wolverines and bring another huge dollop of publicity to Poly Prep.

Seriously? I know Harbaugh is looking for every advantage, but telling a kid to pretend to be interested in another school in order to increase the drama doesn't seem quite in character with his "honest, fair competition" attitude. Maybe I'm wrong.

Satellite camps, selective tweets, etc. He knows how to stay in the spotlight in a good way. If commitmas truly was orchestrated, it only makes sense for Harbaugh to ask some of the guys to be super low key so Michigan has a bunch of "Whoa!!" commitments instead of a bunch of formalities

I'm not worried at all. He moved his commitment date up to be in line with other Michigan commits. This is also a guy who went to Rutgers just to watch Michigan annilhate them. UGA is just a smokescreen.

So something occurred to me this morning.  If DPJ really didn't let anybody know where he was comitting - didn't tell his parents, his friends, his HS coach or the college coaches, then how was his announcement scheduled right smack dab in the middle of Commitmas?

If that's really what's happening, somebody had to plan this.  Somebody had to feel confident enough to put DPJ right in the middle.  If they really didn't know for sure, having him pull an OSU hat out of that bag would have thrown a giant monkey wrench in the Michigan plan.

Somebody knew - even if it was just one guy.

I'm overthinking again.  To your point, I agree.  Wilson doesn't pick today to announce without intending to Go Blue.

We have yet to see Harbaugh and crew get an elite Oline guy at Michigan. Hopefully that changes today, even though I don't think Wilson is a year away from starting. I think Chuck and Caesar are ready to play.
