Officiating was bad but didn't decide the game.

Harbaugh's conservative calls did.

Running on 3rd and 5 in OT.

Not calling for timeout at the end of regulation when they were driving.

It's a common theme with Harbaugh and it's why he never wins the big one.

Officiating did decide the game. Get that spot correct and the game is over with a specific outcome. One play later, OSU scored, causing an incorrect outcome. It is true that Ohio State had to execute on the final play, but officiating incorrectly decided that the game was not over with that spot.

Not sour grapes--I accept the outcome. But it's not accurate to say officiating didn't create the opportunity for that outcome when there should not have been opportunity.

There was a replay view of the 3rd down play from behind the qtrback that shows an M player being blatantly held by the jersey. The play just b4 the now "infamous" 4th and 1 play. It should never have been 4th and 1. Either he gets tackled further back or (if the refs would do the job they're PAID to do) 4th and at least 10 after a holding flag!

each went OSU's way starting in the first quarter.  The 4th down spot was wrong.  Yes it is a game of inches, but 6 yards of penalties against OSU was bad, and one sided officiating, as was the 4th down spot that was moved forward by each of the two officials who spotted the ball.  Don't like complaining about officiating, but this one really was impacted by some bad calls and noncalls favoring OSU, and the 4th down spot that literally changed the outcome.

Fine him. I don't give a shit. We stopped them on 4th down and they spotted it a half yard forward from the actual spot. Then you got the 3 other times they wrapped up our receivers on 3rd down with no call.

Who fucking cares what other people think? They already hate on us, make jokes about our inability to win championships or beat OSU, so fuck it.

I usually hate when fans whine about refs after a loss, but those pass interference calls were too critical to not make mention. Yeah, there's nothing we can do about it now and at the end of the day we had chances to win this game, but he's standing up for his players who played their hearts out there today. I was hoping Harbaugh would say something and he did.

But good grief, wouldn't it be nice to see OSU beat themselves JUST ONCE in the entire flippin' 21st Century when they are playing us!  Just once!

and lost.First drive Butt drops pass for 1st down.  Running into punter, dumbass.  Mason Cole repeatedly hitting OSU clown in the Facemask, in the open field no less.  Damn missed blocks in crunch time.  Passes just off hands.  And that one Barret run that killed us.  Samuel td in ot we were finally going to hold the edge and over ran the play.  The PI calls or lack of calls, shit happens, control what you can and make the plays.

The game was fixed. I am done getting upset over a sport as predetermined as professional wresting, dog racing or Hai Lai.

Frankly I feel stupid getting this upset over an outcome decided before the game even started The B1G wanted OSU to win. No matter what - they wanted OSU to win

Refs fucked us many times and were blind to OSU sins.  It was obvious they were either incompetent (not likely) or had money on the game.

But the Michigan coaching staff has to be called out for the way this team has regressed the last half of the season.  It came out crisp, disciplined and physically dominating.  It ended the season past few games with the guys getting gassed, making stupid fucking fouls and just looking sloppy in general.

Championship teams do not continue making retarded penalties like facemask, back blocks or other shit at key times because they have these bad habits coached out of them.  Harbaugh and company have done a wonderful job, I believe we are ahead of schedule but we have missed a key component which is coaching discipline into these guys.

a way more obvious hands to the face not called back by their goal line (I think we got the sack anyway)

clear block in the back on the 2nd interception return.  Would have put the ball at the 30 instead of the 6.

So I guess what you are saying is championship level teams don't get called for their penalties?

It's simply UNFUCKINGFORGIVABLE for the refs to alter the outcome of a game and take it away from the young men on the field. Stolen from Michigan AND seriously tainted the osu win. But fuck OSU. Always.

on 4th down...but it seemed pretty damn clear that Barrett's right arm, with the ball, hit off the butt of his own guy, who was clearly short of the 15...right?  That is a bad call to miss, obviously, but Michigan hurt themselves in so many ways today.

What I don't understand is why he was given forward progress when he bounced off his own guy.  I thought you got forward progress when a defender pushed you back.  That even assumes he got to the 15, which I don't think he did since his teammate blocked his way and the backside of his teammate wasn't at the 15.

Perception is important...because if it's legit, and non-biased fans feel the same, then Harbaugh won't be viewed as a whiner for what he says.

And I think part of it is people being sick of the OSU's of the world. They've been good for so long...why the hell do THEY need help in these games? When's the last time THEY'VE lost because of some shaky officiating? It takes the joy out of the game when a team like OSU constantly gets the 50/50 and worse calls to go their way.

The missed hold on Lewis on that 3rd down play was enormous. It was blatant, and impacted the play. If called, would have been 3rd and 15-20 out of FG range. Many more missed calls and blatant errors, but none that costly.
