I mean, if you leave the game on and just wear a blind fold, you can actually experience Bird Box for yourself.

12/20/2018 - 11:21am Serious question...do you…

Serious question...do you think this could trickle down to true sophomores?

Say you are a stud soph, and your team is playing in a bowl game but not playoffs.  If you get hurt, there is a good chance you miss offseason workouts, perhaps part of the season, and do not get back to yourself until middle or late into your junior year (if at all).  Do those types of guys start to sit out bowl games?

I am aware that players can get hurt at any time, in any game...just throwing this out.

12/18/2018 - 7:48pm How about a 120 team round…

How about a 120 team round robin?  The kids go have classes on Mondays and Wednesdays, play games on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.  So, 3 games a week, 119 games, like a 40 week season.  Leaves plenty of time (12 weeks) for recruiting and fall camp.

11/30/2018 - 6:17pm Who is Haskins NFL comp? …

Who is Haskins NFL comp?  Just trying to get some others' thoughts.

11/29/2018 - 8:19pm But is it actually any good?…

But is it actually any good?  Or is just a bunch of hot takes/stuff people would talk about over drinks in a bar?

I have heard it can be kind of funny, but that it is also designed for "bros" who like sports but don't really know much about them.

Serious question.

11/29/2018 - 6:32pm Everyone is talking about…

Everyone is talking about the playoff, so...

1.  Clock does not stop on first downs, unless the runner goes out of bounds (and in that case, only in the last 2 minutes of each half).  I love college football, but I'm sorry, 40 seconds from your own 25 should not seem like an eternity.  If that reduces some scoring, especially late in halves and games, and speeds up the game, ok.

2.  PI is a spot foul instead of 15 yards.

3.  Any pass caught behind the line of scrimmage is counted as rushing yards (I actually do not care much about this, but it is annoying when you see a QB credited with a touchdown pass when they tap the snap to the receiver in motion who then runs 80 yards for a score).

4.  Give the lineman more leeway downfield before calling illegal man downfield.

5.  Fix/stop/actually call the pick plays.

11/26/2018 - 8:43pm As others have said, having…

As others have said, having ND/MSU/OSU all on the road in some years is really the part that gets to me.  Even when they come to AA, that still means (potential) road games at Iowa, Wisconsin, and/or Penn State (and Iowa and Penn State love to make those night games).  That is a lot to ask for a team to go undefeated.

In terms of Ohio State, the talent gap is closing, but man if it feels like they don't just have dudes who make plays.  I know hindsight is 20/20, and I tend to be a pessimistic fan, but think about that lofted INT Shea threw to the sideline...tell me you don't picture an M player dropping that (a la last year in the red zone iirc), or the blocked punt that the guy timed and caught perfectly for the TD.  Just FEELS like one of our guys would have fallen on the punt, then after 3 plays go nowhere, settle for a field goal.

11/26/2018 - 6:16pm I say it is time to shake…

I say it is time to shake things up...

West - Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota, Sparty, Iowa (only at home though), Northwestern, Rutgers

East - Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Purdue, Indiana, Maryland

To hell with geography!

11/25/2018 - 9:12pm Right...there will still be…

Right...there will still be the occasional defensive slugfest, and these 59-56 or 62-39 games will not be the norm (I hope), but you have to be able to score and apply pressure on that side of the ball

11/25/2018 - 9:02pm I believe I just saw…

I believe I just saw something where Alabama, Georgia, and Clemson are all top 5 in both offensive and defensive efficiency, if I read it right

11/25/2018 - 9:08am No no no...the first time…

No no no...the first time you met her, you thought she looked good but was a pretty awful person.  You kept running into her at different bars though (10 more times in fact), and she just kept seeming better and better.  Finally, the 12th time you ran into her, you both were like "Let's do this."  Unfortunately, while hooking up, her time of the month started, and it was a bloodbath from there!   (too much?)

11/21/2018 - 10:02pm I believe that particular…

I believe that particular student pronounces it "Zatch", fwiw

11/18/2018 - 6:26pm How about blindside/illegal…

How about blindside/illegal/dirty/etc. hit on a kickoff or punt and your team plays with 10 men the rest of the game?  /s kind of

11/18/2018 - 6:17pm I went in thinking a loss at…

I went in thinking a loss at Notre Dame, a potential loss at Northwestern, hopefully taking 2 of 3 in the tough stretch of Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Penn State...I was wrong, and glad I was.

11/17/2018 - 5:36pm Might have still be down or…

Might have still be down or tied at the half

I feel like Randy Quaid yelling at Rick Vaughn right now...#iamalotoffunatparties

11/16/2018 - 8:20pm Is this some elaborate,…

Is this some elaborate, intentional slow-play geared towards Michigan believing this tell then taking the bait?  Or is it like when that one 12 year old who just learned a curve ball digs in his mitt, only to throw the fastball?

Yeah...that's where my head is in regards to Ohio State.

11/15/2018 - 7:17pm What about Bomani?  It could…

What about Bomani?  It could be for Bo and Amani Toomer...but you could just tell the wife you have really been digging Bomani Jones' takes lately.

11/15/2018 - 7:13pm Yeah, my dog is also a Maizy…

Yeah, my dog is also a Maizy.  Most of the time we just call her Maize, and she still comes running.

11/15/2018 - 7:08pm Maizy and Bluto...then just…

Maizy and Bluto...then just use nicknames

11/09/2018 - 7:01pm Winning those Rose Bowls…

Winning those Rose Bowls would have helped though.

11/07/2018 - 5:08pm I get what you are saying…

I get what you are saying about Georgia and Alabama.  But why should the #1 team have to play in a de facto quarterfinal game when others are not?

I get that other teams have to win, but they may not be playing the same caliber team, and if one of the teams has no playoff shot, then it is not really a quarterfinal.  Like, no one is arguing that Northwestern should get in if they were to win the BIG championship game.  Same with one of the ACC teams, one (or maybe even both) of the PAC teams.

11/04/2018 - 2:22pm Are Michigan fans caught in…

Are Michigan fans caught in a dilemma as well?

I get that if we win out, making the playoffs is a near certainty.  So, OSU winning at Sparty would not impact that.  But, if Sparty were to win, I personally think it would be nice to know that at the least a spot in the BIG Championship game was clinched.

Ha...I vaguely remembered someone getting  lambasted over a link, but I wasn't sure...better safe than Bolivia

It's on that one site for $100, with 20% off and free shipping.

11/02/2018 - 7:42pm The problem with the mocks…

The problem with the mocks is they have not taken into account the videos that will come out, like Gary jumping  out of a 10 foot deep pool and dunking on a 10 foot hoop, or Shea throwing a ball thru the open windows of a speeding passenger train, or Bush benching 225 once for every tackle he makes on the season.

10/28/2018 - 5:46pm That seems high for what I…

That seems high for what I was expecting.  I went in thinking more like 7.5-8.5 (just begging someone to tease it down to -1.5 or so).

10/12/2018 - 7:40pm Like the Nickelback of…

Like the Nickelback of current dance pop

10/12/2018 - 7:39pm Have they all been musicians…

Have they all been musicians this year?  I know Luke Bryan and Toby Keith have done it as well.

10/09/2018 - 6:46pm I gotta know...do you feel…

I gotta know...do you feel this way about other things?  Are all "old" tv shows also bad?  What about music (God I hope you don't think that!)?

10/01/2018 - 8:34pm I'm going to venture a guess…

I'm going to venture a guess that the NVRL (National Velociraptor League) will get way better ratings than the NFL

09/30/2018 - 5:51pm When the opponent's go to a…

When the opponent's go to a dime defense, they actually get to put 10 DBs out there against Michigan, so it is really 11 on 17.  Because of that, we rarely see receivers running in space with no one around them.

Wait...is that just what it seems/feels like when I am watching Michigan games?

Man, f*ck yo couch

09/29/2018 - 10:42pm I am sure fans of any team…

I am sure fans of any team feel the same way...but I'll be damned if it doesn't seem like there are so many bad/missed calls every game.

09/28/2018 - 9:58pm I know they always talk…

I know they always talk about teams beating themselves, but now Vegas is setting lines on it?  And  putting Sparty at -29 to beat itself?

09/23/2018 - 7:41pm That was such an incredible…

That was such an incredible thing to watch.  For me, one of the great things, has been his transition to actually seeming like he enjoys golf.  After winning today, and perhaps if he were to win more, it could go back to the Tiger of old...but I have appreciated his ability to smile on the course, actually talk to his playing partners, and seeming to take more note of the fans.

If he gets his putter right, he will be able to string together consistent-enough tournaments to be in it.  There are some California US Opens coming up in the next few years that could suit him, in terms of majors.  And I would assume that he will be the favorite (or top 3) for Augusta next April.

Well that is presumptuous...you have no idea how the worst bets have gone!

Too bad you didn't say this a 4th time in a row for Buffalo

I'm watching this Ohio State/TCU game and I'm beginning to think the game in Columbus is shaping up to be a big one, too.

Wasn't this the thought process before the season even began?

09/15/2018 - 8:57am Gut feelings looking at…

Gut feelings looking at yours:

Army -6 (don't like the long travel, early start)

ND -14 (last week was a letdown situation)

LSU, USF agree

Houston -1 (this is the kind of game they will win to get into the Group of  5 playoff discussion, then lose late in the year)

Texas -3

Others I would lean:

Georgia -33

Mizzou -6.5

OSU - 13.5

San Diego State +5.5

I forgot about Franklin Hatchet!

More specifically, the evil chef lady one?

09/13/2018 - 6:06pm I feel like the 5 post per…

I feel like the 5 post per day limit might actually further entice multiple accounts...as in, "hey, if I post 5 times from my 5 accounts, and I can make 25 posts."

I agree with what some other posters have mentioned...I have a tough time identifying who has multiple accounts.  Maybe I do not come here as much as I used, or maybe I don't pay close enough attention to the user names as I scroll through.

Is there a way to flag accounts (so that everyone could see, not just mods) that would identify suspicious behavior?  That might allow people to easily identify people who may have several accounts, while also avoiding engaging with them.

09/07/2018 - 5:50pm I just can't imagine one…

I just can't imagine one player getting the 106 carries needed (at 3.3 ypc) to break it...but who knows

09/02/2018 - 7:13pm I always thought "Clemsoning…

I always thought "Clemsoning" referred not to their rivals, but to the fact that Clemson would lose inexplicable games every year, like games they should win.

Michigan seems unable to pull the upset or win a big game.

09/01/2018 - 10:42pm Oh, it is...Non-existent…

Oh, it is...Non-existent when in meaningful plays (there's gotta be something to finish this out with the roved)

09/01/2018 - 10:00pm I am sure most fans of most…

I am sure most fans of most teams feel this way...but when I watch Michigan, I feel like I am watching a different game.  I turn on other games (not cupcakes) and see QBs with time to throw, receivers running in open space, RBs bursting through holes.  I know I can be a pessimistic fan, and the good memories are conveniently missing right now...but am I alone here?
