This poor girl has been through hell and then gets treated like a slip and fall plaintiff. This is absolutely shameful. I am embarrassed that this is occurring at a public university in my state.

04/10/2018 - 2:05pm The kid has fantastic

The kid has fantastic offensive tools. His athleticism is solid, his footwork is above average, his ball-handling is great for his size. The only issue I see is that his shot needs a little tweaking to improve consistency; he does not square to the hoop very well (his left foot and shoulder are further away from the hoop) and his shooting hand finishes too far forward (instead of high).

A concoction I call Saturn. It is a small slice of a mozzarella cheese stick surrounded by a thinly sliced onion (with the center portion removed), battered with drakes, and fried.

My 14 month old son woke up midway through the third quarter and wouldn't stop crying. Our shared emotions bonded us.

01/01/2018 - 4:57pm We aren't even close to a top

We aren't even close to a top 20 team. We are probably a top 50 team. We complained during the Hoke era about our results not matching our recruiting success, the same thing is playing out now.

01/01/2018 - 4:52pm My opinion: there is no

My opinion: there is no accountability for this coaching staff. Jim has the athletic department by the balls. Jim claims that his program is a meritocracy but there is no evidence of this when it comes to his coaching staff.

You proved my argument. One decent team and one not bad team, the group sucks. The other groups have at least two decent teams.

12/01/2017 - 4:17pm If you look at the average

If you look at the average ranking of each group, there really isn't any group of death. There is an outlier on the other end; Group A is complete trash. Is there any doubt that the Russian Government has some influence on the selection process?

11/21/2017 - 6:45pm Far worse would be crickets

Far worse would be crickets from a lack of government. I am sure someone whose house is on fire would love to have government employees show up to help.

11/21/2017 - 6:42pm That's a really cynical

That's a really cynical perspective. It the government was truly just a puppet of corporations, we wouldn't have any worker or environmental regulations (though waning, they still are quite strong).

11/21/2017 - 6:08pm The proposed alternative

The proposed alternative would put us at the mercy of corporations-they will have it best interests in mind for sure.

Two things: the smells are overwhelming and the kids look dead immediately after birth. Our first child had some concerns before birth, so I freaked out a bit when she came out al grey. It turns out, all babies are grey until normal blood flow initiates.

Last thing, catch the kid. I'm not good with blood and bodily fluids but I will value that experience the rest of my life.

02/15/2017 - 10:20am You do not have a right to

You do not have a right to drive farm equipment or low power vehicles on the interstate because of safety. I could very well see a defined "right to mobility" but that doesn't mean a right to humanly driven vehicles. It also doesn’t mean that you must subscribe to a private service as you could purchase your own vehicle.

Enough outrage can lead to progress. Just look at the Armando Galarraga play and MLB instituting instant replay. We need a better system for recruiting, training, and correcting officials our the game will suffer.

08/13/2016 - 5:44pm Michigan's Adventure is a lot

Michigan's Adventure is a lot of fun. I'll admit that I haven't been with kids that young but I'm sure they would enjoy the water park and probably a few of the roller coasters. You should go for it.

08/13/2016 - 7:39am Someone gave my wife an MSU

Someone gave my wife an MSU outfit at a baby shower; she immediately planned to re-gift it. Before she could re-gift it, I "accidentally" used the outfit as a paint rag. There are only a few acceptable uses for these senseless gifts.

01/05/2016 - 11:50pm As someone who studies

As someone who studies municipal infrastructure (along with other municipal systems) this was not a surprise to me. The conditions of the water and sewer infrastructure systems in Michigan are almost unfathomable. Unless there is major investment by state and local governments, these type of stories are going to become more frequent.

Seriously, who thought to use lead for water supplies? Many historians credit the use of lead in the water supply system as a significant factor in the downfall of the Roman Empire. During my time at UM, I took a class with the mayor of AA; he said that they replaced 100 year old wood pipes in the early 2000's!
