A competent coach can make.... and Harbaugh is so far above competent. Makes me excited for every weekend to see what the team is going to do next.

for a head coach, that's what football is supposed to sound like

Quick aside here - was anyone else momentarily floored to see Hoke wearing headphones during the Oregon-USC game? I know he took deserved heat for this for his entire time here, but I found that he would choose the middle of this season - as the Ducks were again being pan-seared and served with in-season vegetables - to suddenly have the revelation, a revelation I assumed he was forced to have.
November 10th, 2016 at 8:01 PM ^
....or it could be Mark H. said, "You WILL wear headphones!". However, it has not helped the Orgeon defense much.

All that coach speak in his ears with his other coaches opinions (because of their view up in the press box) on how they are getting beat in a peticular area and what they can do to fix it.
EDIT- Sorry I just read a couple of posts up and I am not trying to be redundent but how idiotic is that?
November 11th, 2016 at 8:08 AM ^
He's been wearing a headset all year, hasn't he?

I'd love to have Hoke back as director of recruiting. A lot of his kids are out there these days.
November 10th, 2016 at 11:38 AM ^
I think he'll be available soon
November 10th, 2016 at 11:45 AM ^
but why couldnt he recruit QBs?

November 10th, 2016 at 5:06 PM ^
i think it was more of an "identification" issue than recruiting issue... though Speight is working out pretty well...
November 10th, 2016 at 12:17 PM ^
and fortunately he won't be coming back
November 10th, 2016 at 12:37 PM ^
Sparty is showing us that co-coordinators aren't necessarily a good idea, but what about "The Ira J. and Nicki Harris Family Recruiting Co-Coordinators, Brady Hoke and Les Miles"? Got kind of a ring to it, doesn't it?
November 11th, 2016 at 8:09 AM ^
Just preaching something is quite different from actually doing something. Hoke talked about "competition", Harbaugh lives it, breathes it, and loves it.

Love how fast he turned this around! 19-3 since his arrival.

If OSU loses to us and wins their bowl game, Urban will have a 61-6 record at OSU in his first 5 years.
I think Jim can replicate that here.
November 10th, 2016 at 10:48 AM ^
I hope its 60 - 7 after he loses to Michigan and OSU loses in their Bowl game .
November 11th, 2016 at 7:20 AM ^
but for too many turnovers (pics) in his first game, and we are all still trying to get over that stupid last play punt debacle

I don't want to besmirrch Coach Hoke, but goddmned I am reminded of that staff's incompetence on every playcall.
November 10th, 2016 at 8:04 PM ^
...and even on the plays he could not call in time....
November 10th, 2016 at 7:11 PM ^
Last week he said it was our best week of practice. Unlike the former Coach, it seemed to mean something because that was a dominating performance.
I keep finding reasong to be a little nervous about Saturday, but hearing that we're sharp in practice eases all of that.
Last year I would've just rolled my eyes and hit that Jennifer Lawrence .gif
November 10th, 2016 at 9:09 AM ^
the way he deflects the possible transfer question.....
November 10th, 2016 at 9:32 AM ^
The road to playing time is clearly a rocky one and he's not a Harbaugh recruit. Not to mention, he's been in the doghouse at times.

I would hope O'Korn would stick around. I'd be much more comfortable with him as backup rather than having a redshirt freshman QB being one hit away from leading the offense.

Respectfully disagree. Bill was a jerk and knew next to nothing about sports. If you want a non-sports drive time show, don't work for the Ticket. Despite the NW love, I like Jamie a lot more than Bill.
Harbaugh to the NFL was a report, not floated by them, that they kind of "have" to talk about.

After all the seniors graduate but Harbaugh will have those young kids ready to go, and we get MSU and OSU at home, so we will have a chance at the B1G title and playoffs. Harbaugh will not be using youth as an excuse.

It is so great to enjoy football, REALLY enjoy football, again. It had been so long since I really loved to watch college football. During the Hoke era I even found myself turning games off before they were over and that had never happened before, no matter the score. I feel like I did back when I was a teenager watching the games again. I can't wait for Saturday to come so I can watch my team take the field and know that no matter what, they will come out and be competitive at the very least. I can't explain my love for this team and specifically this coach. What a man!
November 10th, 2016 at 10:33 AM ^
It's so true, I have the same feeling. The RR & Hoke years were full of impending turnovers and not being able to stop anyone on defense. It was sloppy, undisciplined, horrible football to watch
