how is it being a douche by pointing out the obvious homerism in the comment? He claims we have the head to head with Nebraska because the wins and coaching? I love our wins and I love our coaching but Nebraska is as storied a program as Michigan, has a phenomenal college town and gameday atmosphere and they are also undefeated with a great coach doing very good things. Let's just not be obnoxious about it. There is absolutely no argument or logic there other than, "I'm clearly biased towards Michigan so we should win the head to head recruiting". Sorry, say stupid stuff, get called on it. Fine if you think that makes me a douche.

I'm not sure in what football circles you could make the argument that Harbaugh and his staff are not superior to Mike Riley in terms of coaching profiles. Riley was 6-7 last year and they were 9-4 the year before he came on board.

Sure they are undefeated this year...but who have they played?

Fresno State 43-10
Wyoming 52-17
Oregon 35-32
Northwestern 24-13
Illinois 31-16
Indiana 27-22
Purdue 27-14

They have squeaked by a bunch of mediocre teams like Oregon, Indiana, and Purdue. Purdue was winning solidly into the 3rd quarter... NW was a one possession game in the 3rd quarter as well. It's not really homerism to suggest that the football programs are on different footing currently despite Nebraska's record.

Advanced states bear that out as well as 3 teams we beat are ranked higher including Wisconsin, Colorado, and Penn State.

In terms of recruiting, when is the last time Mike Riley or Nebraska has realed in a 5* overall top 15 prospect (Suh was #47)? What is the recent precedent for this type of cross-country recruiting coup for Nebraska and for Riley?

Also, I knew that Holmes had teammates on Nebraska but didn't realize he had familial connections and still not exactly sure who that is.

of so many top recruits now.  Hoping for nice weather when he comes, but confident our staff, a the charm of Ann Arbor,  and the campus give us a good shot regardless.

I hope Sparty invited some 5 star prospects to the game Saturday. It would be fun to see a repeat of the clinc this team performed for Rutgers' best recruits

As long as Harbaugh is here and winning continues to happen, we will bridge any talent gap with the elite teams (mainly OSU and Alabama) in no time.  Also, with Harbaugh's incredible ability to get every ounce of competitiveness out of his players, any star rating players that EARN a starting position will more than likely out perform their original rankings.

...that a recruit comes during the regular season or not, meaning, do you think the impression is that much better/greater when they visit with a game as part of the recruiting agenda?  Just seems like it would be such a different experience one way versus the other.
