(@next_gen_uniforms) Concept Michigan uniform (alternate)
If we're going to have the Jumpman on our uniforms, might as well have a modern look. I personally would love to have something like this for a possible alternate uniform. What would you guys like to see from the Nike/Jordan brand?

Not loading for me either.
Why fuck with this? We had it right dammit in 1978 - just leave it alone please. Black shoes, high white socks, actual maize pants & numbers and the correct blue.

Might be on my own on this one, but I've never been a fan of white socks with the home uniform. I don't mind them with the away jerseys, but white socks just don't go with the home ones IMO.

While white socks were probably pretty cool in the 70's, so were bell-bottoms. I don't want to see either in our modern uniforms. Black shoes with black socks are pretty sweet. Just ask the Fab Five.

that Alabama looks terrible with white socks, right?

White's one of their colors
look bad in white socks? How about UCLA? Should OSU wear black socks?
Yes. USC looks bad with white socks. I don't like their colors overall.
But anyway, whether you like their colors is a different issue.
Being the Trojans they really have to go with those colors. Those were the colors of the Trojan army.
Morover, the Trojan army wore white socks, so...

I'm with you. White socks are great for the road unis. I actually prefer navy socks for the home uniforms. M used to wear them for cold weather games back in the 90s, and it was fantastic.
As for the OP, change the shoulders back to numbers and the shoes back to black, and we have a winner.

this uniform but blue socks.

Sorry old man, the 1978 look is too dated. That was 38 years ago fergodsakes. There is a reason Nike doesn't get design advice from 50+ year old dudes.
Cause us 50 year old dudes are too busy running the company that make the stuff you guys are buying.
And we thank you.
Good try but some of us own the companies that guys like you are running.
Nice try, but those are 70 year olds dude.
Note I said "running", not owning.
Either way - you are correct in that the days of jersey wearing are long gone for my generation. That's a whole another topic for discussion - at what age do you need to stop wearing jerseys? Personally I think guys my age wearing them look ridiculous but as you suggested - nobody's asking me for fashion advice.
As long as you can disagree with someone without being a total dick . . .
on the shoulder and a new logo?

the following things have to be corrected...
1. No white shoes. Black shoes only.
2. No blue socks. White socks only.
3. Color scheme is wrong. Looks more like West Virginia blue than Michigan blue. Use the correct Michigan blue.
4. Shoulder/sleeve strips must go. Put the numbers back on the sleeves.
5. Too many non-Michigan logos. Eliminate them.
6. "Maize" undershirt (or are they just a bicep bands?): Delete. Circular file. Expunge from the record.
7. Stripes and wings on the helment are incorrect. Here is an idea: Michigan players should wear the Michigan helmet.
8. White gloves? No. Michigan players are not butlers.
9. If the helmet bumper is black (looks black to me), then get rid of it.
10. Use the correct font for the numbers.
As long as they correct these 10 mistakes, then it looks great!

Black socks.
Look at video from 1997, 2003, 2006, et. al. All black socks, all pure awesomeness. I have been dissapointed to see the white socks sprinkled back into the mix.

11. Michigan men don't run like that.
What is that guy doing anyway? Walking on a balance beam?

Ewww. It looks...off. I don't like it.
Eliminate the white: Blue shoes with maize swoosh, maize and blue gloves.
No need for the Block M on the front, but everything else looks fine.
I was ready to hate it, until I saw it. Turns out I don't hate it, which is very high praise concerning altering the classic home uniform.
He rightfully brought black shoes/white socks and helmet stickers. Our uniforms are in good hands.

I saw the players retweeting/reposting this picture all over intagram and twitter. So obviously the players love it. Coach Harbaugh isn't going to go out of his way to force them to wear black cleats, he's is a player's coach. If the players want it, he want it.
...except when he did go out of his way to make them wear black cleats...
Did I say that? What I'm trying to say is Harbaugh isn't going to force them to wear black cleats. If the players want to wear white cleats, I doubt he wouldn't let them.
...except when he did go out of his way to make them wear black cleats...
Hey, Bando and I can play this game with you all day long.
Bo was always against white shoes. Harbaugh also got rid of the Block M on the pants. They weren't around when he played.

wore all white socks at home? I really did not notice (and I thought our uniforms looked great last year). Hmm. time to watch some video.
EDIT: No we didn't. Cleats were all black but socks were not uniform, same mish mash it was under RR and Hoke. They should go all black. That was and is the best look.

taken a look at most of the home games from the season except for Michigan State because F that, and it looks like there was a movement toward all white socks that was largely abadoned by late season. This may lend itself to the idea that the players were straying from the white socks or that everybody progressively got so bandaged up that style became secondary to keeping lower extremities functional.
Harbaugh also got rid of the Block M on the pants. They weren't around when he played.

Uh, yes. You said exactly that.
Shut up WD. There's nothing worth freakin out about. They look like the Sugar Bowl uniforms which looked pretty good. No these wont be the actual uniforms but stop acting like a drama queen every time a picture of a uniform comes out.
