OT - Worst Living Artist or Band
Greetings fellow music fans,
In honor of Prince and the other great musicians claimed before their time so far in 2016, I'm wondering whether we should propose a trade with the Grim Reaper? Not that I would be so crass as to wish something bad upon someone, just because they might suck at music or make noises that hurt my ears -- but, just for the sake of argument, if something just happened to befall a living artist or band, who would you choose?
To get the ball rolling, I'll suggest Rod Stewart. And not because he is and always has been bad at music. No, his greatest offense is that he proved himself capable of putting out very good songs early in his career, only to continually assault our ears for many, many years thereafter.
And now I open the floor to my fellow MGoBloggers.
It's not his personal life that makes me feel this way; I am just not much of a fan of Kanye's music. I liked 'Through the Wire' but can't really say I have enjoyed any other song of his.

If his performance on SNL is any indication of his "music," I'd say I'm not a fan of his noise. He's a noisician, there's nothing musical about his dreck that I'm familiar with.
Kanye. No question about it.

I would not be saddened to wake up to the news that every existing member of any Mariachi or Banda style music had, mysteriously - down here it's always UFOs - had been beamed on board and are now playing for all the prior Country and Western singers that passed prior t them, if for nothing else, all the pain they cause so many people over the years.

I can't name a single song by Kanye of Bieber, but I'll still second this list.
Annoying crap in the '80s.
The sad part is that Journey had some talented musicians (guys from Santana) but just put out crap.
And to think I was feeling guilty about starting a thread about a 17 year old soccer player
Thanks InterM for making me feel......better
Alright, clearly I'm WAAAAAAAAY older than these people naming Beiber (who I've literally never heard) or Kanye (who I saw and heard for the 1st time on SNL recently and couldn't fathom how bad he sucked) - but my choice would have to be posed as a question:
Are Bread still alive?
You want a mic drop, Ima leave you with "Baby Ima Want You"...
youtube that shit and I defy any of you to say ANYONE sucked worse than them!!!
Shit made "Muskrat Love" sound like Slayer - I know, I'm old...
Even "everything i own" and "guitar man"?
I like those 2 songs.
gives Bread a good run for their money as a crappy band.
Hunt
What about Sam's brother Mike though?
I've heard Mike Hunt was a huge infuence on many of the most popular musical artists of today... some are being named in this thread.

I believe they still exist. They should not.
And the world would be missing one bomb.
this band but unless it's a group of men dressed as creepy clowns i'll be disappointed
Picture two late 30s/early 40s dudes from suburban Detroit wearing clown makeup. You also should know that Faygo brand soda is a big part of their shows.
can't get that where i live. damn i loved me some faygo redpop as a kid
Rock N Rye brother!

Red Pop, Orange Pop, Rock n Rye. I liked them all. I wonder if the Faygo guy is still alive. I remember his commercials from the late 60s and 70s.
