I support this kind of response 100% of the time. Just a dumb question, and said with a hint of an edge that shows an agenda in asking it.

I love Motley's expression throughout all of this: "This whole night has been a circus. Can I just go home?"
"We didn't block well, and we made up for it by not tackling well."
What a terrible, terrible season and even worse of a game. Thankfully we won that Capital One Bowl, but there's a difference between winning a non-major bowl and trending up and winning one while trending down.
Didn't matter who we hired in 2008. That was gonna be a medicore season.

Was a rough time for all of us.
<sigh>
That 2007 team, man. It was built to go undefeated, but it was just a travesty of a season.

IIRC, he injured his knee but kept playing, and then injured the knee worse several weeks later. Similar to the ordeal Robert Griffin III/Mike Shanahan went through a few years ago.

Actually he was the Heisman favorite until he got injured around Halloween.

Not me. We could have beaten App St by 50 and we still would have been taken to the woodshed by Oregon. We had no answer for Dixon and that offense. They would have been NC if Dixon had not gotten hurt.
We didn't even have to go undefeated with all that chaos. We got all the way up to #12 in the BCS with 2 horrific losses.
Had we not fucked up against Wisconsin and OSU, who knows? With all that chaos at the end of the year, 2-loss LSU was playing for the national title.

He pretty much did.
Since when did Drew Sharp start writing about Baylor basketball.

but aren't these stupid questions supposed to be asked to the coaches and not the players?

Yes, they can handle it.
They're men. They're 40.
Yale is much smaller than Baylor and is not even close to matching their athleticism. It's a legitimate question, this dude is just butthurt.
It's not a bad question. Baylor just choked like usual.
No way a bunch of Ivy League weird guys should be able to out rebound Baylor.
It's a bad question because he's asking one of their big men how they got outrebounded in an incredibly painful loss that had just happened. What response did he expect he'd get? At best maybe, "they hustled really hard." Stupid question and got the answer he deserved.

It's a good question for Ernie to ask Charles and Kenny in the studio. It's a really stupid question if you want an actual answer to ask in that scenario. Regardless, the guy can ask whatever he likes. Maybe he'll rethink asking a dickish question next time for his own sake.
You make it sound like he had to ask anything at all.

The question comes off as an attack. He could have instead said something like "Are you surprised at how well they were able to rebound?"
It's a "legitimate question" that might require a technical answer, but you're not going to get one from a player in that situation. It was also poorly worded.

You can ask the same question without the "You fucked up and now you are going to answer to me" tone. Leave the churlishness to Bobby Knight.
The reporter stated it like an asshole, and Yale was one of two teams in college basketball that had a top 20 rebound rate on both the offensive and defensive boards. So it was a dickishly phrased question that was also a dumb question.
It's a good question for an analysis of the game for someone breaking it down in detail.
It's an awful question to a player post-game. You think the guy knows the exact reason behind it immediately? What is he supposed to say? If it was technical then you're going to need to have watched the game and not played in it, or watch tape to figure out what was done. Otherwise you're looking for a stupid quote like "they outhustled us" "they wanted it more" or something else incredibly cliched.
And then there's the tone. He interrupted Prince while he was talking and posed it in a way that would make me not want to answer the question. Especially such an esoteric question such as that.

he got the response he deserved. Smooth of Prince to be able to respond so eloquently when I'm sure he was pissed about the game and the reporter's question on top of it
