Things you want Warde Manuel to do within his first year

  1. Hire Mel Pearson.
     
  2. Expand the Maize Rage 
     
  3. Remove the ads on the Michigan Stadium concourse pillars, free our poor baskets of this leftover stuff....

 

In other words, Mr. Manuel........tear DOWN those ads.

I would say extend Harbaugh but Hackett is likely to get that done before Warde officially takes over in March.

WD do you know how long the sponsorship/licensing runs in those areas you specified?

If you we don't have the contract information, it's pretty impossible to ask someone to "tear it down." 

I trust Manuel will continue making the right decisions for the University of Michigan and Michigan Athletics. This isn't his first rodeo and he's got great help in Hackett if he ever needs it.

Let's also figure out the reasoning behind some of this stuff. If that Meijer money is allowing Harbaugh to fly across the country this month, at a moments notice, so we can get them CROOTS...shit, Meijer it up!

I'm being sarcastic, but the point is...some of this stuff may be beneficial. It doesn't look good when you're spending some of this "excessive" or "fluff" money and it's tied into the students, student-athletes, or academia...but if these Signing of the Stars, camps, private jets, coaching salary increases are funded through some of the stuff we all may not care for...let's just shut up and deal with it because we like nice things. I can't say that there is a direct correlation, but I can't say that there isn't either. I just know money is good. Money helps bring success and I like success.

for the UM football radio broadcasts.  Jim Brandstatter Is a true, blue Michigan Man, but falls way short as a play-by-play guy. Keep Dierdorf as color guy, and Karsch as sideline reporter. Brandy can do the other miscellaneous programs like Inside Michigan Football.
