OT: Movies that you're embarrassed to admit you love.

Submitted by Michigan_Marc on
Seeing as we are all pins and needles regarding how we are going to finish up the next great class of ours and since I just got done viewing one of my all time favorite "embarrassed to admit I that I love this movie", movie. I will start. Mine is, 'A League of their Own'. *Side Note* This thread was inspired by Tom VanHaaren's unwavering devotion for the Bachelor.

I love titanic.
I've seen it like 200 and some times and I blame Bob Sanders and HBO. My senior year I lived on high st. And we must have watched that movie, and the matrix, so many times we all could have repeated them verbatim.
Now I have a 7&8 year old Titanic is on HBO again and we watch it all the time (except car love making and the suicide scene: then we send the kids out of the room)

Ps. I also love all the fast and furious movies and I am not ashamed.

Titanic is one of my all-time favorite movies. James Cameron is a genius filmmaker.

Also, there is NOTHING wrong with liking all of the Fast and Furious movies. Those are phenomenal action/heist movies and I'm so looking forward to the eighth movie in April of 2017.

how can you guys like that movie?  They fly the lady out and listen to her story for 2.5 hours and then she dumps the thing they are spending millions for, into the ocean.  Why on earth did she keep that stupid thing for so long?  Also, I feel bad for the guy she must have ended up marrying. In the end she wants to end up with some fling she had 80 years ago, rather than the guy she started a family with.

I like "Who's got Mail" for an embarrassing film.  Can't get much more 90s and corny than that movie, but I like it.

Also, agree with everyone else that A League of Their Own, is not a movie to be ashamed of liking.  It's funny, has a good story line. I see it as one of the top sports movies out there.

where it looked like the pilot almost pancaked the F-14 into the ocean!

I loved the F-14. I wish they would have made more F-14 D's and kept it in production longer.

Grumman had a couple of ideas for a SuperTomcat; one of which they thought could cruise at Mach 1.3 or so.

Great, big, beautiful airplane.

I agree totally.  I am usually not a superhero movie fan, but I enjoy the fun ones, and Gaurdians of the Galaxy and Ant man were probably my favorite Marvel movies.  I liked the first Iron Man, but the sequels and Avenger movies put me to sleep.  I am probably in the minority, but hey, whatever.

The original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie from 1990. Loved it as a huge Turtles kid when it came out and recently watched it with my nephew after we saw the Michael Bay one. Just as entertaining as I remembered.

I'm not actually embarassed to admit it (obviously), but I think I'm supposed to be.
