OT: Movies that you're embarrassed to admit you love.

Debi: You're a psychopath.
Marty: No, no. Psychopaths kill for no reason. I kill for money. It's a job. That didn't come out right.

Debi: Opens door, sees Martin. "You can't come in."
Martin: /puppy dog eyes.
Debi: "You can come in."

Better off Dead and One Crazy Summer are classics. Every time they are on, I somehow end up watching the whole thing. "Sorry I blew up your mom Ricky"

Great soundtrack & super cheesy acting. Mark Wahlberg and Ted would agree.

No one should be embarrassed to like Flash Gordon, one of the few truly perfect movies ever made!

I've seen it like 200 and some times and I blame Bob Sanders and HBO. My senior year I lived on high st. And we must have watched that movie, and the matrix, so many times we all could have repeated them verbatim.
Now I have a 7&8 year old Titanic is on HBO again and we watch it all the time (except car love making and the suicide scene: then we send the kids out of the room)
Jdon
Ps. I also love all the fast and furious movies and I am not ashamed.

A Cool Story Bro: When the wife and I saw that in the theater, I couldnt resist and yelled "SINK THE FUCKING BOAT ALREADY" at what had to have been 2 hours into it. Got a good laugh from the packed house.

How about a spoiler alert head's up? Some of us haven't seen Titanic yet.

Titanic is one of my all-time favorite movies. James Cameron is a genius filmmaker.
Also, there is NOTHING wrong with liking all of the Fast and Furious movies. Those are phenomenal action/heist movies and I'm so looking forward to the eighth movie in April of 2017.

how can you guys like that movie? They fly the lady out and listen to her story for 2.5 hours and then she dumps the thing they are spending millions for, into the ocean. Why on earth did she keep that stupid thing for so long? Also, I feel bad for the guy she must have ended up marrying. In the end she wants to end up with some fling she had 80 years ago, rather than the guy she started a family with.
I like "Who's got Mail" for an embarrassing film. Can't get much more 90s and corny than that movie, but I like it.
Also, agree with everyone else that A League of Their Own, is not a movie to be ashamed of liking. It's funny, has a good story line. I see it as one of the top sports movies out there.

where it looked like the pilot almost pancaked the F-14 into the ocean!
I loved the F-14. I wish they would have made more F-14 D's and kept it in production longer.
Grumman had a couple of ideas for a SuperTomcat; one of which they thought could cruise at Mach 1.3 or so.
Great, big, beautiful airplane.

Back in the day, if it had a tailhook it was made by Grumman.

I will watch any Marvel movie and saw that, but to me it was just meh. I need to see it again because perhaps I will like it more. That said, why is it embarrassing to like it?
January 19th, 2016 at 10:25 AM ^
I have watched pretty much every marvel movie so far and that was by far my favorite.
January 19th, 2016 at 10:53 AM ^
I agree totally. I am usually not a superhero movie fan, but I enjoy the fun ones, and Gaurdians of the Galaxy and Ant man were probably my favorite Marvel movies. I liked the first Iron Man, but the sequels and Avenger movies put me to sleep. I am probably in the minority, but hey, whatever.
January 19th, 2016 at 11:28 AM ^
Ant-Man is really good. I had a great time watching that one. I do love both Avengers films, though.

I love Varsity Blues.
"One, two, three, four, FIVE?!"
If only that guy knew that so many college football teams use a spread offense with four or five receivers these days, LOL.
