What do you think the chances of Walker starting this year are? Will it be delayed until he gets pass blocking down or will his running ability already be too good to pass up?

Well that is definitely some welcome news! Was painful watching any RB other than Smith try to pick up a blitz this year ha ha

No kidding... Watching them rushing to the left side to block space while some linebacker shot through the middle unimpeded for a free hit on Rudock was a bit infuriating

"I expect Derrick Green to pass Fitz by the first game of the Big 10 season... at the latest... I mean look at his film and look at our production last year! RABACK IT."

Fred Jackson is that you???
December 18th, 2015 at 6:19 PM ^
Except Fitz was a good back with a 1000 yard season under his belt and Green was coming in under the coaching and tutelage of Brady Hoke's staff.
Our current backs are....not so good....and Walker is coming in under the coaching and tutelage of Jim Harbaugh's staff.
Don't kill our optimism!

This. A Walker RB, Smith FB backfield seems like our best option. Granted, pass blocking and run blocking are very different things, and who knows if Smith can do the latter, but I still thing this is the best use of talent and resources.

Agreed. I suggested this about a month ago and got shredded for it.

are both our RB recruits EE? RB position could definitely use some upgrading so that has to be a good thing.

Green had more problems then just staying in shape. Walker actually breaks a tackle or two in his highlight reel.

I don't remember that.

Yup, it was mentioned in the Brandon Peters Signed thread that Kingston Davis signed today as well. Another year of experience for the Oline and fresh blood in the backfild has me real excited for our offense next year.

How many EEs is a program allowed to have?
So far it's Davis, Walker, and Peters, and I believe Bush is planning to be an EE too. Was there anyone else?
