Joey Galloway calls our offense old fashioned - Says we have no chance
Disrespekt! Now I feel motivated to win on Saturday!
Joey Galloway just said that #Michigan's offense looks like something from 1973. Gives U-M no shot to win this weekend.

EDIT: To clarify, I don't care about Galloway's opinion one iota. I'm making fun of MSU's culture of "disrespekt."

I'm kinda speechless. One of the most moronic things I've heard in awhile.
I award you no points, Joey, and may God have mercy on your soul.
October 15th, 2015 at 4:29 PM ^
Galloway has no chance.
October 15th, 2015 at 4:30 PM ^
I feel a subway on Harbaugh's shoulders...maybe a Tubbys.
October 15th, 2015 at 4:34 PM ^
Subs? It was crazy?
October 15th, 2015 at 4:30 PM ^
No shot to win because of his irrelevant opinion about one facet of our team? That sounds like a man who is completely bitter to the point he's doesn't even care to rationalize his statement.
I have a plan in the works for an offensive scheme that looks like it's from the year 2053. Based on Galloway logic, does that mean I can just jump into in any coaching staff in the country and start winning games with my futuristic prowess?

Joey's a real x's and o's analyst if you couldnt tell...

To be fair, he also said UM would handily beat Northwestern last week on Mike & Mike* in an argument with Chris Carter, but no, wait... WHO CARES ABOUT SUCKEYES?
(*Mike Greenberg between Galloway and Carter. Talk about a shit sandwich.)
October 15th, 2015 at 4:59 PM ^
In an argument between two Buckeyes there are only losers...most especially those who are subjected to the argument.
October 15th, 2015 at 8:55 PM ^
Two idiots chattering. Carter just knows that Michigan is slow and undersized compared to elite programs such as MSU and OSU.

WHO CARES ABOUT SUCKEYES?
October 15th, 2015 at 4:49 PM ^
SUCKEYES? You are better than this. Believe in yourself. No longer do you have to refer to rivals by childish nicknames suited for lesser boards. You are amongst friends.
October 15th, 2015 at 5:49 PM ^
Sorry, was trying to be facetious. Thought the all caps were enough to raise sarcasm alarms... I'll try harder from now on.

Harbaugh's O looks old, but is actually new and innovative. Maybe they're onto something about ALWAYS.

I'm more confident about this game now. Galloway is perfect for ESPN, being a moron and all.

October 15th, 2015 at 4:46 PM ^
He's just trying to draw attention to himself. Say something outlandish to garner more attention. I doubt he's that stupid....well, maybe.

Joey Galloway is one of the dumbest, most unprofessional commentators of all time. I hope ESPN is saving some money.....

i think JOEY GALLOWAY KILLED NINE HOOKERS AT OSU allegedly
October 15th, 2015 at 6:21 PM ^
Joey Galloway and Craig James did play for the same professional sports franchise, so obviously, connect the dots and all...
October 15th, 2015 at 4:54 PM ^
I watched the first game he called, could not believe they offered him a second contract after that nonsense.

Typifies the media "expert" who believes Sparty has an awesome D just b/c they're Sparty and hasn't watched them play, save the Oregon game. Didn't ding them for that performance b/c he assumes the Ducks' offense is sweet b/c they're Oregon.
October 15th, 2015 at 5:11 PM ^
Steve, what's it going to take to get you to post some X's and O's like back in the day? I'm assuming you had kids recently or something and had to give that up, but that was my favorite content on the page back then.
Either way, thanks for your contribution.
October 15th, 2015 at 5:19 PM ^
I posted a lot of schematics then b/c I was just out of coaching/teaching (2008 was my last year) and just managing a restaurant about 35 hours/week. Now I don't have the time and it's not really needed b/c:
- Kids (2 toddlers--yawn, and not due to boredom)
- MBA (done)
- Space Coyote fills the role quite nicely
That said, I'm open to requests. So, if there's something specific you (or anyone) would like me to address, I'll do my best to answer.

Back then I was fascinated with your breakdowns of RR's new offense that I was totally unfamiliar with. If you ever found some free time and would be willing to do that for some of Harbaugh's stuff, it'd be great.
October 15th, 2015 at 9:19 PM ^
Between Space and Brain (and Seth, etc., etc.) I think the Harbaugh/Drevno/Fisch offense is well covered. Maybe I'll breakdown the D after Saturday. Would help to get an all-22 shot of the entire game. Every opponents' staff can get those, so I don't see why the Ath. Dept. won't make those available.
October 15th, 2015 at 10:18 PM ^
Yes, they do a good job, but I still think you were the best on the site so anytime you want to post anything just know at least one of us will be chomping at the bit to read it.
Ok, I'll stop kissing your ass now. Go Blue.

I think it's been run-pass-pass (according to Ace).

Joey Galloway is a biased bucnut. He definitely gets thrown on the trash pile seperate from Kirk Herbstreit and Chris Spielman.
October 15th, 2015 at 5:00 PM ^
Maybe he's still traumatized by 28-0 in the 1993 rendition of The Game.
October 15th, 2015 at 5:00 PM ^
I feel even more confident about Saturday now.
October 15th, 2015 at 5:01 PM ^
That offense hasn't worked for Alabama or Stanford or recent NFL Super Bowl champions like Baltimore and Seattle.
Nothing about the "spread" in all its various forms is revolutionary anymore...it will continue to lose its novelty as time goes on and defenses continue to better learn to defend it. Then something else will come out and the cycle will continue.
Spread helps less talented teams close the gap, but when you play big boy football like Bama it's still about trucking your opponent. OSU won the championship last year not because of some fancy Urban Meyer trickery...but because their O-line and running game trucked everyone with physical downhill running. Whether you run it out of the I-formation or the shotgun, it's still about the trenches.
Harbaugh is smart enough to add enough wrinkles to his traditional offense to make it work, unlike the run left, run right, run middle strategy of Lloyd or the run into wall and clap hands strategy of Hoke.
