I have to admit that the NW defense looks pretty stout and their offense is just about the opposite. Michigan is also stout on defense with a less than stellar offense. It couldn't possibly happen again...

Let's be honest...Harbaugh is a great coach because he's proved it elsewhere. But his biggest accomplishment at Stanford was getting Andrew Luck to come there.

Stanford was good when they had him and "meh" when they didn't...not really a coincidence.

Harbaugh would've just been able to attract more top QB talent, where as Shaw cannot.

Northwestern lets the third quarter end mercifully for Stanford as they are driving once more. They've not quote gotten to 250 yards of offense in the game yet (although that last run puts them over perhaps), but they've been making Stanford guess and guess wrong on quite a few plays all afternoon.

He's way too conservative and I have concerns about his ability to develop talent. Last year was his third as head coach, so the juniors had only been in a Shaw program. What happened? They regressed to 8-5 and the team out on the field right now doesn't even look like an 8 win team. It'll be interesting to follow.
