More good news: CBs rolling in today for the good guys
Michigan is getting a couple more crystal balls (CBs) today. EJ Holland from ON3 just put in one for 4 star Jyaire Hill from Illinois. This is a big get in my opinion. Corner and top 150 player. EJ, Sam and Allen have all put in CBs for D’Juan Waller Jr. a safety from Youngstown, Ohio. Not tech savvy so not sure how to embed. https://www.on3.com/db/expert-predictions/football/2023/

Jyaire Hill - this is potentially a huge pickup.

Yessir!!! Sam has been talking about this non stop. It is a fight between Illinois and UM. These CBs are great news for UM. I think Sam said he is on top of their board.

On3 had a good reaction from him yesterday. Sounds like mom is finally coming around.
Jyaire Hill: ”BIG BIG WIN GO BIG BLUUUUUUUUUUE. Keep winning, my mom is loving it”
November 27th, 2022 at 1:08 PM ^
That is actually much bigger than it seems. The talk was that his Dad loves Michigan but his Mom preferred Illinois. So if he is saying his Mom is loving it that is very good news.

Big Blue?
Why does Kentucky get so much love from our recruits?
November 27th, 2022 at 9:34 PM ^
Maybe don’t nitpick recruits who are tweeting in support of our team?
November 27th, 2022 at 12:25 PM ^
Who wouldn’t want to play for Michigan right now?!
November 27th, 2022 at 12:26 PM ^
According to half the posters on the board just one week ago... Any top WR or QB.
November 27th, 2022 at 12:30 PM ^
To be fair, croots probably aren’t wanting one game of the year until they are utilized.
November 27th, 2022 at 1:32 PM ^
Shut the fuck up, you miserable piece of garbage.
November 27th, 2022 at 1:55 PM ^
Thought this take was trash, went to post list and saw most of your takes are, so welcome to my Troll Cave.
November 27th, 2022 at 6:12 PM ^
If that's the case it's kind of weird that OSU is able to recruit any safeties, since they're NEVER utilized.
November 27th, 2022 at 12:36 PM ^
Ain't that the truth. Then CJ goes on to route OSU corners. The gift that keeps on giving.
November 27th, 2022 at 12:52 PM ^
2024 recruiting class SHOULD be a mighty fine one!
November 27th, 2022 at 12:28 PM ^
6'2 corner, yes please.
November 27th, 2022 at 12:37 PM ^
With track speed too!
November 27th, 2022 at 12:40 PM ^
Don't forget we snagged Cameron Calhoun last night who is also 6'2 CB
We will have no issue with height in our secondary.
November 27th, 2022 at 2:17 PM ^
So you're saying it's the end of us recruiting dimensionally-challenged corner backs? Oh boy!
November 27th, 2022 at 12:32 PM ^
With a strong showing in CFP - and no major rumblings of Harbaugh to Indy Colts - we should be in strong position to get a few 2023 recruiting surprises.
Go Blue!!!
November 27th, 2022 at 12:47 PM ^
Harbaugh to Indy, confirmed but only to win the Big Ten!
November 27th, 2022 at 12:36 PM ^
A rare Illinois vs Michigan recruiting battle for Hill. This is why I was rooting for Illinois to lose every week when people were worrying about our strength of schedule and pulling for Illinois. We have to close on this kid
November 27th, 2022 at 12:37 PM ^
Bring on another strong finish !
November 27th, 2022 at 12:39 PM ^
Best college town in the country. Best coaching staff in the country. Great venue to play. Makes a lot of sense.
November 27th, 2022 at 12:39 PM ^
D’Juan Waller, Jason Hewlett, Jyaire Hill, Jamel Howard and Rod Pierce all should be part of the class soon. Should be really interesting to see how many 24’s that were in Columbus yesterday start trending to the good guys as well.
November 27th, 2022 at 4:47 PM ^
What position do you think Jason Hewlett is being looked at? I would say possible as an edge or linebacker? Jamel would be a good pick-up. Not highly ranked, but he is the kind of guy who in three years becomes a 2 year starter that no one knew about. I think Fickell will be able to keep Rod Pierce committed unfortunately.
November 27th, 2022 at 12:42 PM ^
Hill I think would be the biggest impact recruit for this class if we get. Hoping we land Harbor and a few other 4 stars along the way. We develop 3 stars really well, so I don't mind us finishing out the class with them but we should be in the running for some top players with 2 years of dominance in a row.
November 27th, 2022 at 12:54 PM ^
Hill and Calhoun much needed at the CB position for 2023
November 27th, 2022 at 1:04 PM ^
Harbor is going to be very tough given the finish to the season that the Gamecocks just had. That's a program with a ton of momentum and, in my opinion, Columbia is a very nice city.
I like the defensive recruiting a lot for this 2023 class:
I think if we can keep achempeong (sp?), edge and DT will be set with him, Etta, Pierce, Bahr, and Howard.
I think Hewlett and Ishmail are perfect fits at LB and Bridgman reminds me of Josh Ross.
The backend of Hill, Calhoun also has the potential to be great.
My only concern areas would be OT/OL (2nd year in a row with not hitting top targets) and RB.
November 27th, 2022 at 12:44 PM ^
It would be yet another knife in OSU's side if a bunch of recruits who attended yesterday's game at their place wound up going to UM because of that win.
I don't think we'll see a Harbaugh-to-Indy turmoil this year; Saturday has Indy playing a bit better and I get a sense that the Colts's owner isn't going to like a tough-willed Harbaugh as a coach. So that will hopefully mean fewer distractions building on these two wins.
November 27th, 2022 at 12:49 PM ^
Those guys all saw the masterclass that converted WR Sainristil put on yesterday and recognized that it began with excellent coaching and player development.
November 27th, 2022 at 12:50 PM ^
Was just perusing Sparty’s 2023 commits. They’ve got a small class but about a half dozen are top 250 recruits. Any noise on any of them bailing?
November 27th, 2022 at 12:56 PM ^
They actually lost like 4-5 already. I think those who are left I think want to be a part of chop life.
November 27th, 2022 at 12:53 PM ^
Thanks for the update.
November 27th, 2022 at 1:28 PM ^
Hopefully, they close strong. Can't imagine not having momentum now.
November 27th, 2022 at 1:28 PM ^
I'll take all the balls and all the stars....keep them rolling
November 27th, 2022 at 4:03 PM ^
Jyaire would be a huge pickup. That and a LB is exactly what Michigan is missing from this class.
November 27th, 2022 at 5:23 PM ^
Looks like 2024 is going to get off to a good start too. Brady Prieskorn sounds like he could continue Michigan's good 2024 class. Brian Robinson is a top 200 edge that could also commit over the next few months. Jordan Marshall is a running back out of Ohio that Michigan could make a play for. Probably going to be a battle between them and Wisconsin now that Luke is headed to Wisconsin and Jordan was in his backyard. Brandon Davis-Swain is a guy currently committed to Notre Dame, that Michigan will work all the next year on flipping. He'd be a solid pickup on the defensive line. Jacob Oden is a safety in Michigan neck of the woods, currently crystal balled to Michigan State. Jacob had a solid reaction to Michigan beating OSU yesterday. Gabriel Winowich is currently listed as an athlete, out of Michigan, who wants to play running back in college. He's listed at 6'1" - 215lbs currently. Depending on how he grows, he could end up being a linebacker or edge guy at the next level. Someone to keep an eye on. Currently it seems like Purdue is a favorite for him, but let's see what he thinks after this Big Ten championship game. Dylan Messman, currently a top 350 player, is a tight end out of Saline. Currently crystal balled to MSU, but he grew up a huge Michigan fan. Notre Dame could be a player here with CJ Carr, and Michigan could definitely make some noise if they offer. Brady Prieskorn and Dylan Messman would be a solid 1-2 at tight end for Michigan for 2024. Jordan Thomas would be a big pickup in the middle of the defense. He's from an area that Michigan has recruited well. And last but not least, Gabriel Williams is a LB/EDGE that Michigan will keep an eye on. No offer yet, but he's currently ranked in the top 350 for 2024s. He will need to add some size over the next year+ but he has time to do it.
