The documentary is the puff…

The documentary is the puff piece, his FL strip mall is called the fluff piece

It’s a Robert Kraft puff…

It’s a Robert Kraft puff piece to get him into the HoF. Everyone from Brady to Belicheck get put down so he gets portrayed like this angel owner.

Thought the doc was pretty lame to be honest. The Pats teams deserved way better recognition than this Bobby Kraft love fest.

Penny Hardaway gets zero…

Penny Hardaway has zero admissions restrictions and gets to beat up on Tulane, ECU, Tulsa and UTSA. If he was dropped in the Power 5 he would fail. Stop with this nonsense.

It will be real interesting…

It will be real interesting to see when donor fatigue starts settling in for some of these big time programs. Especially when you end up with mediocre results like Texas A&M or Miami.

Schools are asking you to continually cut checks with what type of ROI? Getting free tickets to sporting events? Your name on a wall somewhere?

This team is a AAU…

This team is a AAU Organization in disguise. No structure, no leadership, all about talking trash and trying to go 1 on 1 with no concept of fundamentals.

Putting in serious amounts…

Putting in serious amounts of effort is foreign to this athletic department.

Since he took over the team…

Since he took over the team as HC this year, Juwan is -183 in the 2nd Half as a coach.

If he wasn’t an ex-player surrounded by obnoxious media personalities, he’d be gone yesterday.

Since Juwan rejoined the…

Since Juwan rejoined the team as Head Coach, the team is -165 in the 2nd Half of games this season.

That is not a typo.

Oregon State facing Michigan…

Oregon State facing Michigan's pitching today after facing Hagen Smith will feel like moving from the 80 mph pitching machine to the slow pitch softball machine.

Michigan's pitching staff is…

Michigan's pitching staff is a huge problem, giving up double-digit runs to a bottom dweller of the MAC WMU team in multiple games.

Oklahoma State is no slouch either and are right on the fringe of Top 25 status.

I'm afraid this weekend is probably going to be pretty ugly. If you're a gambling man/woman, try and take every over run total Michigan is involved in.

That individual being the…

That individual being the guy that is... getting paid handsomely to be in charge of roster management, recruiting, scholarship allocation, etc.?

Since Juwan has came back to…

Since Juwan has came back to coach the team, they are -153 in the 2nd Half alone.

That is not a typo. We are witnessing maybe the worst coached team in Michigan Basketball History.

Get take on Juwan by Craig,…

Get take on Juwan by Craig, almost have to wonder if he really even pays attention.

- "Michigan needs to stop being like Kentucky"

Juwan has gotten 3 five star recruits from 2019-2024, Calipari gets 3+ five stars per year.

- "Michigan needs to be more like Purdue"

Juwan isn't on the same planet as Matt Painter at X's and O's, talent identification or roster manager.

He tried saying this team was going to be like Rutgers in the pre-season and yet his fairyland analysis that suddenly Juwan can suddenly coach like two greats is even worse than that.

Exactly this. One guy won at…

Exactly this. One guy won at San Diego, Stanford then has one of the best HC records in the NFL and has won almost 75% of the games he's coached in. The other guy has never had to build a program and frankly, has detroyed a once elite program and is now 44-49 since the UCLA Elite 8 game.

Nico Collins, Ambry Thomas, Aidan Hutchinson, Kwity Paye, Cam McGrone and Jalen Mayfield all either got hurt or refused to play in 2020. Trying to compare this basketball season to the COVID football season is laughable. They are not in the same stratosphere.

When Michigan has academic…

When Michigan has academic standards, portal admissions and NIL like those schools then you absolutely should have those expectations.

In reality, what Michigan and Harbaugh just accomplished the last 3 years, especially this year, is unparalleled going off the program’s past 20-25 year history.

It’s pretty reasonable until the University makes drastic changes (not holding my breath) most years won’t be like 2021-2023.

You can’t act like Stanford/Northwestern and expect results like Georgia. It doesn’t work that way.

Since Juwan returned as HC,…

Since Juwan returned as HC, the team is -104 in 2nd Halves. Very impressive considering he's only been back for 11 games.

This of course is vs. a murderer's row including McNeese State, Eastern Michigan, Penn State, Minnesota, Maryland and Ohio State.

D'Anton Lynn, the new USC DC…

D'Anton Lynn, the new USC DC who was with the Ravens from 2021-2022.

Sherrone: "Hey buddy would you rather coach Will Johnson, Mason Graham, Kenneth Grant, Rod Moore, Makari Paige, Derrick Moore, Josaiah Stewart, Rayshaun Benny, Ernest Hausmann, Jaishawn Barnham or.....enjoy the sunshine?"

Iowa native and looks to be…

Iowa native and looks to be going back home. Better there than the Columbus, Texas, Oregon NIL power players that Michigan has to face next year.

Going off your last…

Going off your last paragraph, hard to argue against the Traverse City area. Seems like more and more as time goes on large news media platforms are crowning Northern Michigan as the best place to visit/live. Wall Street Journal labeled the Leelanau Peninsula the best beach vacation in America this year.

How many of these NFL “it’s…

How many of these NFL “it’s believed” or “sources say” or “potentially could” articles will keep being posted on the MGoBoard? I have the over/under set at 5.5 through the weekend.

JTT and Jack Sawyer were two…

JTT and Jack Sawyer were two Top 50 recruits of All-Time according to 247 Sports.

And yet.. they have to return back to school for Year 4 because they were at best a fringe 1st Round Pick.

Larry Johnson everybody!

Obligatory “dodged a massive…

Obligatory “dodged a massive bullet”

Michigan has won three…

Michigan has won three straight Big Ten Championships by running the football and having an elite defense. This class doesn't seem to be changing that identity anytime soon.

Offensively, they have a Top 100 composite QB and RB, two Top 250 TEs, two Top 250 OL with 3 others ranked around the 300-400 level.

Defensively, they grabbed three very high ceiling D-Ends, loaded up with two 300-400 level DTs and another two that seem criminally underrated. Four extremely athletic LBs (again, 300-400 level). Finished off with 300ish level CB and Safety.

The UM program has feasted on the 200-400 level of the 247 composite for a while now, getting kids into the program for a couple years and explode their 2nd/3rd years. The highest-ranked Harbaugh class (2017) came with massive expectations and immediate contributors and was maybe the most disappointing class in his tenure. The 2018 class was his worst star-ranking class he ever had, but was the catalyst behind changing the program's culture.

The coaches are some of, if not the best at scouting and developing in the entire country. This class looks like it will continue to keep the machine going.

It feels like Harbaugh & Co…

It feels like Harbaugh & Co. have made a living with prospects right on that 89/90 range on the 247 composite. Roman Wilson, Zak Zinter, Colston Loveland, Mason Graham, Jaylen Harrell, Makari Paige, etc.

This class goes right in line with that type of foundation. Roughly 15 of their signees are in that 89/90ish threshold.

I also think Cole Sullivan and I'Marion Stewart are criminally underrated and stayed that way because of the lack of drama in their recruitments. Both played in high-level competition and were dominant.

43-37 in the last 80 games. …

43-37 in the last 80 games.

5-17 in games decided by 2 possessions or less since 2021.

Several instances of bad behavior/culture issues on and off the court.

*Snaps fingers* Hello, Warde? You there bud?

USC, Ohio State, Notre Dame,…

USC, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Oklahoma, Tennessee. Definitely doesn’t have the offer list of a mid-3*

Dark Knight Rises scene of Hines Ward turning back to a blown up football field.

Aidan Chiles looking at the roster he gets to play with.

So Alabama is basically…

So Alabama is basically southern 5 star Penn State?

Shouldn’t be shocked by…

Shouldn’t be shocked by Igbinosun going that route. He started at Bag Dropping U with Ole Miss, won nothing there, then essentially wanted to do the same thing in a bigger stadium and with a slightly higher ranked team.

Entered the portal and in a…

Entered the portal and in a matter of minutes picked ND. Incredible to see Freeman flex his muscles on the trail and surely there was no tampering going on.

I’m glad the NCAA is putting their effort into more serious issues like player safety and deciphering signs off an iPhone.

The lower-tier Catholic…

The lower-tier Catholic schools continue to dominate smaller divisions but the legendary high level Catholic High Schools have dropped off drastically since the early 2000's/2010's

Detroit Catholic Central (Mike Martin, Matt Godin, Wyatt Shallman)

- Last team to 3-Peat Division 1 (Class A) 2001-2003, State Title in 2009, Runner Up 2011-2013, 2016

- Hasn't made the Finals since 2016, hasn't won double-digit games since 2016 either.

Orchard Lake St. Mary's (Morgan Trent, Dion Sims, Allen Robinson, KJ Hamler, James/Josh Ross)

- Runner Up/Won Division 3 2001, 2004, 2007, 2009-2012, 3-Peat Champions in Division 3 from 2014-2016

- Two winning seasons since 2016 (one being 6-5) and has missed playoffs 3 times since.

Brother Rice (Traditional power, most alumni known for lacrosse/baseball)

- 2002, 2003 Division 2 Runner-Up, 2005 Champion, 3-Peat Division 2 Champions from 2011-2013

- Has won their district once since 2014, went 0-9 this season!

De La Salle seems to be the only remaining Metro-Detroit Catholic League powerhouse. There used to be a dominance from Division 1-3 out of the Detroit Catholic League, but it seems the majority shift of power and talent in metro-Detroit has landed in the public schools like Belleville and West Bloomfield.

Have to be looking at a…

Have to be looking at a record for first half travels and/or turnovers. Does this team practice any type of fundamentals?

I agree with this sentiment…

I agree with this sentiment. When the defense is locked in (as they will be Saturday) their opponents do not gain much success, especially spotlighting the two teams the program vows to "take seriously" for their rivalry/big games.

MSU: I know they are a tirefire, but it was their Super Bowl at home, they gained 182 yards, never reached inside the 20 after having Houser walk over to the sideline to hide their #Signz

PSU: That game is much closer to 31-6 than 24-15. PSU's first TD drive came on two 4th down conversions, one took a great play by Kaden Saunders, the other a RB throw back to Allar leading to a QB draw TD. The final TD comes in mop-up time due to 30 yards of penalties where Michigan is an inch away from sealing the game with a Quinten Johnson INT. Again on the road in a hostile environment.

Now they have what will be the loudest Big House crowd maybe ever? behind them. They have held prior OSU offenses with a top NFL QB, 3 first round WR's and 4 NFL OL below 30 points back-to-back years. I think if the offense can get to 21-24 points, its over.

Fanduel -5.5

Caesar's -6.5

Fanduel -5.5

Caesar's -6.5

Draftkings -6

BetRivers -6

MGM -1.5 ?

Its a game vs the 4th best…

Its a game vs the 4th best team in the conference sandwiched inbetween two Top 10 opponents. The team thought their HC would be back this week and 2-days before the game it was announced he wasn't, their LB coach gets fired who by all accounts was loved within the program. Constant negative press surrounding the team with distractions. Their LT didn't play, their WR1 played for 5 minutes and their QB wasn't allowed to run.

Its the first game of the season where Michigan only won by 1-possession. Georgia barely squeezed by Auburn earlier in the year, they have the #2 composite talent in the country. Are they failing to reach their potential? Ohio State, Florida State, Washington, Texas, there isn't a Top 10 team that doesn't have at least 1 disappointing game vs. an inferior opponent.

Michigan isn't going to go scorched earth on every team every game and Michigan fans that have those type of unrealistic expectations sound like some entilted silver spoon kids.

Man, Alum96 you are on a…

Man, Alum96 you are on a heater of negativity right now. You would have no idea you’re a fan of a 11-0 football team that is 36-3 since 2021. You sound like someone who’s living through the 2008-2010 Rich Rod Era. I hope you find something that makes you happier.

And? Ohio State scored 20…

And? Ohio State scored 20 points on this defense in the Horseshoe. Their first TD could've been wiped off the board and almost was a strip-sack TD for PSU, 14-point swing.

Their second TD was a 43 yard drive after a PSU turnover on downs.

Penn State's defense (shocker) is very very good. Chop Robinson is a 1st round pick, Kalen King is a 1st round pick, Adisa Isaac is a high-round pick, Abdul Carter will be a 1st round pick in 2025.

I think you're sounding a little greedy here.

Re-watching the OSU MD game,…

Re-watching the OSU MD game, its crazy how much Maryland screwed that game away:

Up 7-0, fails on 4th and 1 on the OSU 29 for a turnover on downs.

Up 7-0, has two plays at the 2 yard line, doesn't convert and kicks a 20 yard FG.

Up 10-0, Tua throws a pick 6

Tied 10-10, Maryland completes a pass in-bounds on the OSU 18 and the clock runs out of the 1st Half.

Tied 17-17, Tua throws another INT around midfield.

After that, OSU starts pressing the Marvin Harrison button, Maryland turns it over a few more times and train falls off the tracks. Its hard to not think Maryland really threw that game away.

Its hilarious how the big…

Its hilarious how the big media mouthpieces love to point out Michigan's change in record but completely forget that fact that Michigan did the following after 2020:

Swapped Don Brown for a Top 5 NFL DC in Mike McDonald

Swapped playing 280lb DT's and Ben Mason for Mazi Smith, Kris Jenkins, Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant.

Swapped QB's who's ceilings were playing in the Canadian Football League for a 1st Round NFL QB.

Consider me shocked a team that consistently won 9-10 games suddenly elevated into an elite tier.

Anyone else tearing up?

Anyone else tearing up?

So we should expect a two…

So we should expect a two year post-season ban… and counting?

ESPN’s coverage on this…

ESPN’s coverage on this story is running out of juice, like Ryan Day in the 2nd Half vs Michigan.

Yeah, that seems to be…

Yeah, that seems to be working for their baseball and hockey programs. For football? They’re nowhere near what they used to be early 2010’s.

If you don’t think Belleville and WB aren’t getting kids from Detroit and Southfield to come play football, I have some oceanfront properties in Iowa to sell you.

You mean how the Detroit…

You mean like how the old Detroit Public Schools like Cass Tech and King are suddenly mid tier teams and *checks notes* Belleville (whose coach is suspended for recruiting) and West Bloomfield are now the powerhouses with multiple D1 talent. Right… total nonsense these public schools do everything the right way!

John U Bacon just said on…

John U Bacon just said on radio that former Michigan donor Jim Stapleton is the leaker of information from the NCAA to Thamel due to his bad blood with Michigan hiring Harbaugh over his buddy Ron English.

Hell, when basketball HC's…

Hell, when basketball HC's are on FBI wire-tap offering the NBA league-minimum to 17 year olds you get nothing! Jim should've skipped UM's games and personally been in the stands filming opponents, it would've been a total nothing burger.

If you're tailgating the…

If you're tailgating the Purdue night game, its a great college slate if you have a TV:

Georgia vs. Missouri

USC vs. Washington

LSU vs. Alabama

Maryland vs. Penn State

Clemson vs. Notre Dame

Texas vs. Kansas State

I for one am sickened at the…

I for one am sickened at the attention to detail with this scouting. Why can’t this blog be more ethical and tamper with active college players to transfer like Alabama does? Or get into bidding wars for HS recruits?

I guess Aidan Hutchinson…

I guess Aidan Hutchinson brought the sign-stealer to the NFL with him too.

As soon as Michigan gets up…

As soon as Michigan gets up 2 possessions, it will quickly spiral out of control. If MSU has shown anything in their 4 losses, its once things start going poorly, their team's mental toughness is paper thin and they go into quit mode. I fully expect Jack Tuttle to be throwing TDs to one of the freshman WR's in the 4th Quarter while JJ is playing cheerleader once again.
