Magnus, what say you. I have always respected your opinion, but over the last year, that has gone up exponentially. After our debate before the start of last season about our 3 receivers being left off of the preseason all B1G list and All America list, and you explaining the reasons IYO for their omissions, I won't doubt you again. Is this kid low floor high ceiling or high floor low ceiling?

I’m nowhere near the level of Magnus but from what I can tell this kid has a high ceiling but a low floor. Once he’s on campus they’ll work on his speed, add some weight, and polish his technique. I mean the skies the limit for a kid whose 6’8 and has a wing span that big.

Middle floor, insanely high ceiling. Athletic for his size, strong and nice footwork. He also reclassified from the class of 2020 into the class of 2021 awhile back, so he's old for the class. That's good for an OL in terms of college production, but probably will ding him a bit on the overall ratings. Either way, I think he's a phenomenal addition to the class, and someone with the makeup of a top tier tackle

Haha. Thanks. I just went back and found that thread to reminisce (LINK).

Here are my thoughts on Bounds (LINK). He's not a great football player right now, but he's an athletic freak, which I can respect. If you're not going to get the top-100 guy like Rucci, I'm okay with taking a project type.

The last O-line class and this one (assuming it holds or even improves) are pretty ridiculous.

This Warriner guy seems pretty good

Edit: let's include the last two before this one

We've recruited pretty well on the OL so in cases like this, its perfectly fine to roll the dice on a kid like this. The upside is pretty darn big, and if he fills out he's got starting LT written all over him. Couple that with Warriner's coaching and he could be really damn good.

Looks like a very high upside player and with the depth chart, a perfect fit. I will also rejoice in Michigan grabbing any OL prospect that has a committable offer from ND, Wisconsin, or Iowa.

As an aside, I wonder if Michigan has previously received a commitment from an attendee of an Eight Schools Association school.

Hopefully the next Robert Gallery!

Bounds seems like a guy destined to get a boost in his rating.  He's got a pretty solid offer list whether committable or not.

Back-to-Back solid OL recruiting years from Warinner.  Harbaugh needs to make sure this guy doesn't go anywhere for a very long time.  For the knock Warinner got at OSU for not being a good recruiting, I think he's exceeding expectations while at Michigan.

Choate is one the most prestigious high schools in the country academically speaking.  It is where JFK went to school.  Most of their kids end up in the ivy league
