Very sad that it didn’t work…

Very sad that it didn’t work out with Juwan, but this was unfortunately the correct decision. Things got worse year after year and the final results just weren’t there. Just like when the AD fired Hoke after 2014. Both Michigan men, but it was just time to part ways with both of them.

JFC I mean considering the…

JFC I mean considering the brutality of the schedule next year along with what will basically be a compete rebuild on offense along with huge coaching turnover, I’ll for sure take going “only” 8-4 this season…. Which is frankly a run-of-the-mill record for any Michigan team in my lifetime, in exchange for the last three seasons ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The one where’s he’s already…

The one where’s he’s already 1-0 against you guys ;)

Let’s goooooo…

Easy choice. And the man is starting out already 1-0 vs OSU.

Let’s goooooo Coach Moore!! Go blue!!!

I wasn’t singling out…

I wasn’t singling out Darrell Funk as the only responsible party— there were obviously a lot more factors involved as you laid out and it wasn’t meant to be an in-depth critical analysis of that seasons Oline—I was mainly just pointing out that he wasn’t exactly doing stellar work with the unit.

This is always the answer.

This is always the answer.

Very much in agreement. I…

Very much in agreement. I don’t think I had ever been more pissed off after a game. Just the definition of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory— feat Michigan running backs getting a whopping 27 carries for 27 yards behind the Oline “coached” by Darrell Funk, the defense totally imploding at the end of regulation with Channing Stribbling getting Moss’ed by Allen Robinson, and Michigan having like 2 or 3 separate chances in OT to win it with would-have-been game winning field goals that all fucking missed… all at night on prime time TV.

I'm still processing it this…

I'm still processing it this morning. I ACTUALLY witnessed Michigan football win a national championship. Prior to last night, the Michigan "big four" sports had played in 4 national championships in my conscious fandom... and lost all four times: Ice Hockey in 2011, Basketball in 2013 and 2018, and Baseball in 2019 (which I was in attendance for in Omaha).

Not anymore.

15-0. Undisputed. I truly don't even gave the words to describe how unbelievably happy I am as a fan, and how excited and proud I am of all of those players and coaches. They earned it, full stop.

I'm glad I got to witness it all with you guys. We sat through it all this century. The success and decline of Carr, the dark days of RichRod and Hoke which coincided with our two biggest rivals having historical levels success and dominance over us, the return of Harbaugh-- which featured immediate success that ultimately, frustratingly fell short against OSU and in the post season for what felt like so long--never seemingly able to get over the hump, and finally a complete rebirth and perhaps the greatest redemption and turnaround ever engineered in sports history between 2021-2023.

We've seen this football program at its worst and now, its best. This truly does feel like the golden era of Michigan football, literally only surpassed by the greatness of Fielding Yost all of those years ago. Hell, as great as Bo was, Harbaugh finally did the thing that not even he could ever do.

So fucking proud of this team. I'm so proud to be a Michigan football fan. I will never forget this team or this season, and neither will history. I love you all. GO BLUE.

National ChaMpions!!!

Couldn’t beat em on or off the field you fucking clowns. 🤡🤡🤡

They did it. They finally did it.

All 120 days of it, nam’sayin?

Is Mike Sainristil the most…

Is Mike Sainristil the most underrated athlete in CFB? I was watching some older games a while back and it’s crazy to me that he ever started as a WR, and a GOOD one at that. The dude made some really spectacular grabs a couple of years ago before he switched over to defense. And he then proceeded to quickly, seamlessly become one of the most valuable defensive players in the Big Ten with a number of iconic key plays throughout the last two years. Mikey is a straight up BALLER. Really gonna miss seeing him play in the winged helmet after this year.

The Game last weekend was…

The Game last weekend was effectively the Big Ten championship game, as it has been the last three years. The game the east division champ plays against the west division champ is more or less a formality.

OSU fans legitimately gaslit…

OSU fans legitimately gaslit themselves into believing that they deserved to win and would this one and that they only lost the last two because of the half-assed, simple minded and convenient excuse that Michigan “cheated.”

That narrative is now dead and they’re in full meltdown/cope mode now that they’re completely out of excuses. Love to see it. No snow, no sniffles, no Harbaugh, no “cheating”… lmao what happened OSU?? John Day/Ryan Cooper lost AGAIN, to Michigan, with an intern coach on the sideline. 😂😂😂😭😭

Honestly as dumb as it…

Honestly as dumb as it sounds, like someone else posted in another thread, I went through all of the stages of grief yesterday. I landed on acceptance this morning. Whatever happens now with the investigation, any potential rule breaking, punishments, and public perception of the program now are completely out of my control. Other fanbases will make psuedo-bullshit rationalizations and try and blame the "cheating" as an excuse as to why we kicked their teams' asses the last few years and will use this to unfairly dismiss the hard work and success of the team. They're all fucking idiots with an agenda though, just like the NCAA apparently with their blatant selective enforcement of rules. I am responsible for my actions only, and my actions include proudly supporting the team through and through. Go Blue until the end!!

Yup. All of the die-hard…

Yup. All of the die-hard sparties on my socials who were loud and completely Insufferable from 2008-2017 have all just mysteriously vanished. Weird huh?

People keep harping on the schedule when Michigan’s is—in terms of power rankings, ranked at 77th— which is pretty low-end middle of the road and actually harder than Penn State’s (79th) and Georgia’s (94th).

They all look pretty sweaty…

They all look pretty sweaty. Close enough, right?

This is pretty much a run-of…

I don’t really understand how this is any different from any of the run-of-the-mill Harbaughffense wins over an inferior conference opponent that we’ve seen over the last two years. In 2021– Northwestern and IU, in 2022– Iowa, IU, Nebraska, MSU…

I remember people bitching then too because we didn’t pummel them by 60.

I think people are disproportionately remembering the offensive explosions we had down the stretch last year and are unfairly mentally associating them with the entirety of the season.

Chill out, my guy.

…aaaaaand we still pummeled…

aaaaaand we still pummeled them, statistically and on the scoreboard. Fucking hell, Michigan’s run of excellence isn’t over, but once it is, I hope you look back on it and realize you spent it being an insufferable whine-baby instead of just enjoying it. Wasn’t too long ago we were 3-9, and a 5-7 season that included a loss to them..

Mullings RB2 confirmed as per my sources.

Well to be frank, there's no…

Well to be frank, there's no real strategic advantage (at least for this final year) to playing highly-rated OOC opponents anymore in terms of rankings and maintaining playoff chances.

And even then it's not like Michigan hasn't scheduled tough OOC opponents recently. Sure, the past two years have been snoozers, but we had a home-and-home scheduled in 2020 and 2021 against Washington (the 2020 matchup obviously didn't happen, and the 2021 Washington team ended up being crap), a home-and-home against ND in 2018 and 2019, and have future OOC matchups scheduled against Texas in 24' and OU in 25'.

What I'm getting at is picking on Michigan's strength of schedule is a pretty dumb thing to try and call out because it's not like Michigan is regularly scheduling only snoozers in OOC either.

Yeah not everyone gets to…

Yeah not everyone gets to load up their non-conference schedule with slappers like Youngstown State and Western Kentucky.

Possibly. Just sort of hard…

Possibly. It’s easy to say now in 20/20 hindsight, it’s just sort of hard to believe in the context of the time. Hard to say as I’m not an AD nor am I personally involved in any schools’ AD’s.

Yeah, I’m sure half the blog…

Asshole. I see and hear enough about him living here in central Iowa.

Campbell is a perfect example as to why you should strike when the iron is hot. Loser blew his chance to leave Iowa State behind. Now it’s obvious why he chose not to move on to potentially bigger and better things..

As a central Iowa resident,…

As a central Iowa resident, it's a TENSE week here this week. In my neighborhood pretty much every other house is totally decked out in either Iowa or Iowa State decorations/flags etc, so I'm pretty excited to see the battle for the Cy-Hawk trophy unfold. Will it be an ugly, totally painful yet fun game to watch for all of the wrong reasons? Yes. Am I still excited? Yes.

JJ and Wilson were solid…

JJ and Wilson were solid. Everything else was frankly pretty unremarkable.

also, wtf is up with Corum? Is he hurt?

Thank you Don Brown!

Welcome to Michigan, Mr. Josh Wallace!

Also, hi everyone! I haven't been super active on the blog the past few months during the offseason, but it's only June and I'm already feeling the itch..

No, not mosquito bites.

It sucks but I really do…

It sucks, but I really do wish him the best. He had a really solid seemingly breakout game in 2021 vs MSU and then completely fell off the radar and was a non-factor all of 2022. Hope he changes that wherever he ends up next.
