Anybody that asks for a tug job at a massage parlor is guilty, at the very least, of willful ignorance. I agree that prostitution should be legal, but there's a stereotype about massage parlors for a reason and it's a legit one. Doesn't mean that all people offering sex at massage parlors are traffic victims, but IMO a john should err on the side of caution and safety. I do agree that prostitution should be legal because there are ways to make it safer for prostitutes than it currently is. Plus many don't report violent things that happen to them because they do not want charges brought on themselves for prostitution.

There are plenty of prostitutes out there who are not in the profession voluntarily. While not all, I'm sure there are plenty of them out there who were kidnapped and sold into the profession. Here and all over the world. You think that just because she gives you her consent that it doesn't necessarily mean that some pimp isn't on the other end forcing her to say that, and threatening to withhold her money or beat her if she doesn't?

My point is that you can't guarantee a prostitute is in the profession of her own free will any more than you can guarantee a massage parlor worker is. Less likely with prostitutes? Maybe. If the woman can prove that she is not being coerced into the situation, by either a pimp or the "buyer," and she will consent of her own free will, then fine. But otherwise, you're still taking a chance.

Right because prostitutes usually come with a background history that you can easily look up to see if they were forced into the work, or trafficked into the country for the work. There is no way to know that anymore than there is any way to know if the food you ordered in a restaurant was made by an undocumented immigrant.

I had a feeling this was going to happen... he's been doing a lot of partying, staying out late, hanging with an interesting crowd that isn't common for pro sports owners, and then the Bill Simmons podcast a few days ago alluded to it.  Bill: "I was in bed before Robert Kraft was during NBA All-Star week. Who knows what he was doing out so late. Well actually we have a pretty good idea... let's just not get into it."

Was this a very high end massage parlor? Or just another run of the mill Asian massage parlor? Because I don't see a billionaire going to a massage parlor to get a blowie. Not when you can speed dial a super model to your house faster than it takes for a pizza to be delivered.

Then again I just don't get it. Having money, and being famous naturally brings a lot of attention. You don't just walk into a trucker massage parlor as a billionaire owner of a NFL team, and expect no body to notice you. It's not like Kraft became a billionaire yesterday, or wasn't careful to keep his private life discreet before. I'm not saying that Kraft doesn't enjoy a good blowjob. He could be into all kinds of different kinky shit for all I know. I'm saying that someone in his position can get what he want's without being busted in a local rent-a-police department sting. So it boggles my mind.

The pictures I've seen make it look some greasy strip mall type establishment.  But I agree.  When money is no object why not protect yourself.  Go to Cabo or Paris or somewhere where they are lax about this.  Ask your billionaire buddies for a phone number of a reputable madam.  It makes no sense to go to these places subject to routine raid by vice cops

Lots of comments on the black market sex-trafficking angle.

Like most things, make it legal and have a bit of regulation around it, and a vast majority of the black market aspect goes away.

He should have had a camera.  Then he could claim he was paying her to have sex with him (porn - legal) instead of simply just paying her to have sex with him (not porn - illegal).
