Shocking to say, but I didn’t feel that way watching the Bears last night.

Are we still doing “phrasing”?

“As much separation as you can get, and a really good lay by Shea. Right on the money. Good protection again on that one. Just like you drew it up.”

In about two years, 80% of the country is going to be sharing the login of their former next-door neighbor’s grandma, who has no idea her cable bill is being automatically deducted from her checking account.

I would pump the brakes on how well you assume Shea might have played against MSU. Has Shea ever played in weather that crappy? If not, we have no idea how well he throws a slippery, water-soaked ball. Just because he’s way been way better than O’Korn to this point doesn’t mean he’s going to fair any better in the rain and/or the cold for that matter.

One step closer to the mythical State Championship. Luckily, we get to duck Eastern this season.

Brian's "Ed is not a radio personality" cuts deep.

If memory serves, the Armadillos was the mascot of fictional Texas State in Necessary Roughness.

09/05/2018 - 2:55pm The Va-Tech and Florida…

The Va-Tech and Florida games don't count as road wins because they were played at neutral sites.

09/04/2018 - 10:08am I feel like that is usually…

I feel like that is usually the case. How often do sons of famous athletes exceed the accomplishments of their fathers? Steph Curry, Ken Griffey Jr, Cal Ripkin Jr, and Clay Matthews come to mind but there are hundreds (thousands?) that don't measure up: Jeffery Jordan, Jordan Dumars, Mark Harmon. I think it's pretty safe to say that the odds are long that Tom Brady's kid wins a Super Bowl and one of Desmond Howard's sons wins a Heisman. Tyrone Wheatley Jr just left the program.

08/28/2018 - 3:49pm I'm all for trying to…

I'm all for trying to mandate P5 matchups, but I'd much rather see SEC teams plays Arkansas than the late-season 1-AA cakewalk that half the conference gets each year. These are your Week 12 games for the powers-that-be this season:

Alabama v Citadel, Auburn v Liberty, Florida v Idaho, Georgia v UMass, TAMU v UAB, LSU v Rice, and S. Carolina v Chattanooga

06/11/2018 - 5:44pm American War by Omar El…

American War by Omar El Akkad is a good fiction book that came out last year that tells the story of the second American Civil War from the point of view of one family caught up in the conflict. Set in the middle part of this century.

05/02/2018 - 8:30pm Beilein keeps it together,

Beilein keeps it together, but I hadn't noticed Luke Yaklich completely losing his cool on the sidelines before. So much fun.

04/24/2018 - 1:54pm I've never been to Australia,

I've never been to Australia, but I'm going to guess I'd rather be in Adelaide than in Lincoln, NE too.

04/17/2018 - 10:01am Groninger

My roommate and I called him The Bricklayer. We came up with an idea that the marketing staff should hand out maize foam bricks so fans could build things during the game based on number of shots he missed. Apparently he was a nice guy though.

03/28/2018 - 2:50pm Probably has nothing to do with

What Izzo knows they got away with while they were on campus.

03/28/2018 - 2:38pm That line

"We were in pajamas the other day, so it's not a physical thing," probably needs to be the new site tagline after basketball season ends.

03/22/2018 - 1:34pm That's ironic.

That's ironic.

03/19/2018 - 3:08pm Once skinny jeans

Came back into fashion, short shorts weren't far behind.

03/16/2018 - 1:55pm My guess is CBS/TBS didn't

My guess is CBS/TBS didn't want to lose that coveted Montana Mountain Time prime-time audience.

03/16/2018 - 7:45am Correct. Dutcher joined

Correct. Dutcher joined Fischer’s staff in ‘89-‘90.

03/08/2018 - 1:52pm The Izzo gif

Needs to be titled, "Thoughts and prayers to the victims."

02/06/2018 - 4:45pm I see what you did there.

I see what you did there.

02/05/2018 - 1:37pm I don't think so.

It looked like it deflected behind the players toward the back of the end zone. Dorsett was near the goal line, IIRC.

02/05/2018 - 1:21pm In all 3 of the Pats' SB losses

with Brady at QB, he's led a 4th-quarter go-ahead drive only to see the defense give it right back.

01/29/2018 - 2:46pm The Drive for 5

Late 80s-early 90s Detroit Drive. 4 championships, and 6 consecutive Arena Bowls in 6 seasons.

12/11/2017 - 2:25pm Such a weird play

I still don't understand how that play resulted in a torn ACL especially considering his leg wasn't planted on the ground when he got hit.

12/11/2017 - 1:12pm John Faulk?

Who on the M football support staff has what appears to be a DuckTales tattoo on their left hand?

11/30/2017 - 2:08pm NC State, two years ago.

NC State, two years ago. Prior to that, it was at Bradley in 2012. Outside of the B1G/ACC Challenge M hardly ever plays true road non-conference games. Crazy.

11/21/2017 - 2:50pm You don't think Harbaugh

You don't think Harbaugh would choose the neck Sharpie?

11/20/2017 - 2:30pm This is probably the number

This is probably the number one reason Gruden hasn't returned to coaching. The dude knows he would have to personally interact with referees on a weekly basis. Don't even mention the tuck rule to him.

11/20/2017 - 2:21pm 0-2 in '87, and 4-0 in Bo's

0-2 in '87, and 4-0 in Bo's last two years. But those were the Perles Spartans and Bruce/Cooper Buckeyes.

Very hot, and awfully wet.

Looked like a concussion to me. Purdue guy rocked Speight square on the back of the head.

09/06/2017 - 5:34pm Aside from catching the ball

Aside from catching the ball and redzone action, is the view from those field-level suites any good? I have to imagine people end up watching most of the game on TV in the suites behind the benches.

09/06/2017 - 5:16pm Number 80's reaction is great

Number 80's reaction is great too after Furbush denies him a shot at the recovery.

09/06/2017 - 4:50pm Sounded more like Kenneth

Sounded more like Kenneth Parcell from 30 Rock to me.

08/13/2017 - 7:35pm Don't forget '88

'88 at OSU when Kolesar picked up all 100 yards of the game-winning drive.

06/21/2017 - 2:53pm (No subject)

05/30/2017 - 4:35pm B.E.

Braylon Edwards?

Bill Engvall?

Bob Evans?

Benedict Emberbatch?

Bump Elliot?

05/21/2017 - 10:01pm They don't sell the seats in

They don't sell the seats in the far end zone anymore and haven't for several years.

05/18/2017 - 2:44pm When it came out it was

When it came out it was widely reviewed as two solo albums packaged as Outkast. IMO The Love Below was really good. I probably listened to Speakerboxxx by itself once or twice.

05/16/2017 - 3:17pm Homer in the booth,

Gus is a Michigan fan.

05/11/2017 - 3:15pm You forgot

Manu Manu The Slender and his famous "I'm going to go out and get some poi" sack celebration. Quite possibly Rob Schneider's best role too, and no, I'm not forgetting about "Judge Dredd" or "The Animal".

05/04/2017 - 8:02pm Spartans Will.

Spartans Will.

04/24/2017 - 5:05pm From the depths of MGoBlog

04/17/2017 - 3:04pm Don't forget MSU in '99

Don't forget MSU in '99, where M was down 27-10 entering the 4th quarter. Brady led three scoring drives over 75-yards were basically him throwing on every down only to lose 34-31 because the D also gave up a 4th-quarter as well.

03/31/2017 - 6:05pm On Walton's last shot

vs Oregon, DJ Wilson starts to follow the shot but then just stops and watches. If DJ keeps going after it, he might at least get a chance at a tip. Bell has the position on him but you never know.

03/30/2017 - 4:42pm April in the D

Does FSD still do the song contest? That was god awful.

Last year both the Pistons and Wings made the playoffs but I was trying to think of the last "true" April in The D, during which both the Pistons and Wings had meaningful playoffs runs. Prior to 2016, 2009 was the last time both teams made the playoffs. The Wings lost in 7 games to the Penguins in the Finals but the Pistons were swept out of the first round by Cleveland. After that, the Pistons were blown up and the Wings slow fade began.

So, 2008, then is the last truly meaningful April in the D. The Pistons got to their 6th consecutive Conference finals and the Wings won their last cup of the Ilitch era.

03/30/2017 - 4:05pm I know some people love him,

But between "tools of intelligence" and him doing half the game with his mouth full, I don't like listening to Price at all.
