Another Alabama assistant on their way?

Seems Matt dudek is hinting at another Alabama assistant on their way to Michigan. He’s pretty “cryptic” with what he posts on his social media now a days.
Also, he’s in Alabama picking up Josh Gattis to bring him and his family to Ann Arbor today so this could just be a shot across the bow if I’m being honest

To each his own. I remember the first time I was in Florida in June a long time ago. Got off an airplane before the days of air conditioned jetways. I immediately broke into a sweat. Got my rental car and let the air run about five minutes before I could get in and drive. And I wondered, “how can anyone stand to live in this weather?” Yeah, there is air conditioning, but there is heating up north too.

Agreed. And extreme heat tends to drain one of energy unlike cold weather.

I need seasons. I don't want it to be 90 every day or 20 every day.
January 12th, 2019 at 3:31 PM ^
Ha. You are nuts.
Florida blows.

Cosigned, the sane.
If Ohio is America's armpit, Florida is its sweaty asscrack.

3 months of snow vs 11 months of sweat
fresh, clean air from open windows vs constantly recycled dank
I piss on that isthmus

And the bugs. The bugs that never go away and only grow larger.

I remember when I was a junior (maybe senior) at Michigan many years ago. My girlfriend at the time and I stuck around AA for the summer and wanted to get away for a cheap weekend somewhere. For some reason we picked Florida, but the flights and hotels were for some reason so cheap. When we landed in Tampa, we immediately understood why. Yikes, I'd been to Florida before, but never in the summer. Hot damn!
The humidity in AA in the summer is not really desirable either, but Florida took it to a whole new level.

Live in California, then you will wonder how you ever lived in the Florida humidity, clouds and rain. Well except for the taxes and radical extremist politicians.
PS - the fed is private and issues debt not money.

Shut the fuck up, Donny.

I've been hoping for Craig Kuligowski for the entire offseason. He's by far the best defensive line coach in football. He was at Mizzou for awhile, and was responsible for Charles Harris, Shane Ray, Aldon Smith, Sheldon Richardson, and Ziggy Hood being first round draft picks. And that doesn't include Kony Early, Michael Sam, and Markus Golden being drafted later.
He's an incredible coach, and a very solid recruiter. I would trade Mattison and Washington for Kuligowski in a heartbeat.
January 12th, 2019 at 2:39 PM ^
We need you to get that in writing, ok?
January 12th, 2019 at 2:56 PM ^
He's from Southgate & spent a decade coaching at Toledo, so he knows the area very well.
(Just noticed this post after posting about Kuligowski below. Open up the wallet & get him. Whatever it takes.)

He's got a gawdawful green tie on. Otherwise...sign him :)

Or could it mean a certain OL coach decided to stay rather then go to Bama?
January 12th, 2019 at 2:02 PM ^
I would gladly go for that as the answer over poaching another coach or recruit.
January 12th, 2019 at 2:46 PM ^
What?
January 12th, 2019 at 3:50 PM ^
If this is not a joke, it needs to be explained. If it is, not cool; too soon.
January 12th, 2019 at 5:46 PM ^
I am referring to the "rumors" that bama would try and get Warinner if their OL coach left, which he did. My initial thought with the tweet was that warinner said GTFO to saban.

Thanks. I was not aware of this.
After a rudimentary search on the interwebs, it looks like there are other primary options. So, I hope you are right.
However, in today’s wild west coaching environment, I guess you never know.

I saw that tweet a few hours ago but wasn't quite sure what to think about it. Either a new assistant or a recruit that has been steered in the direction of Ann Arbor and away from Tuscaloosa - those were the two most likely scenarios, I thought.
We shall see, although normally these tweets portend good things.

To me, I has to be poaching another assistant. Keeping our existing coaches isn't taking a bite out of the elephant, it's refusing to let the elephant bite you. Same with snatching a recruit. But maybe I'm applying too much logic to it.

After Nussmeier came here from Bama and laid a turd I'm dubious on some of these moves but I guess it's better than plucking coaches from say, Rutger

I do not understand this line of thinking at all. A different coach and different AD hired a different Saban assistant five years ago and it didn’t work out. What does that have anything to do with this hire?
January 12th, 2019 at 2:50 PM ^
It’s true. Joe Moorhead couldn’t have walked into that shit show and succeeded.
January 12th, 2019 at 4:30 PM ^
This line if thinking is so stupid. Do you use this logic in any other aspect of your life?
January 12th, 2019 at 2:08 PM ^
Can you pick up Najee while you’re down there?
January 12th, 2019 at 2:42 PM ^
Lou Saban maybe.
Nick's older brother.
Buffalo Bills.

His retort to the dude about leaving with his girl is even better!
January 12th, 2019 at 7:22 PM ^
No, it was cringy. He’s an overweight dude in his mid thirty’s who looks like he plays video games all night. He’s not taking anyone’s chick.

I'm sure your hot babe was looking over your shoulder when you posted your comment too Fabio.

It’s all in good fun people need to lighten up. I like the competitiveness.
January 12th, 2019 at 2:55 PM ^
Just speculation, but I looked at Alabama's DL coach. Craig Kuligowski looks like he would be a phenomenal coach to bring to AA. Why might he consider it? He's from the area. He is from Southgate & got his start at Toledo (there for a decade.)
I think we would all LOVE to see Kuligowski coaching the DL.

Probably has something to do with having 3-4 five stars on the line each year.
January 12th, 2019 at 10:50 PM ^
Wait, I thought stars didn't matter at all!!! What, are we all turning into maizens???
January 13th, 2019 at 7:34 AM ^
Starz didn't matter when our 4 stars were getting beaten by coached up 2 and 3 stars at MSU, Minnesota and Maryland... now that our 4 stars are only getting beaten by teams loaded with well-coached 4 and 5 stars we realize it does matter....to a certain extent.
