OT: As expected, Jalen Hurts is transferring away from Alabama
I have a hard time thinking classy thoughts about any Alabama player, since I want them all to lose, but Hurts handled his situation as well as one could imagine. I wish him well.
Specifically, I wish him well somewhere that doesn't affect us. I could honestly see Penn State making a run at him, he'd play well in McSorley's role. Hopefully Frames isn't smart enough to think of this.

He would kill it at PSU. I’m sure he will go to OSU just in case Fields is deemed ineligible.
January 9th, 2019 at 1:28 PM ^
So Frames can run him into a stacked box on 4th and 5? The OSU move makes sense because why wouldn't it?
January 9th, 2019 at 1:58 PM ^
I would have taken Hurts before Fields but what do I know. I probably wouldn’t have hired a 70 year old DC either.
Plus guaranteed eligibility.

Thx! ...oh. You mean Hunter Joe.

Penn St doesn't have the offensive line, or head coach, or offensive coordinator, or QB coach, that Alabama has.
January 9th, 2019 at 1:27 PM ^
I like Jalen Hurts, I really hope he does not end up in the Big Ten.
January 9th, 2019 at 3:28 PM ^
He'd be a good fit for Purdue (and we wouldn't have to play him)
January 9th, 2019 at 8:50 PM ^
I thought some insider on here said Brandon Peters is going to Purdue? What would he do if Jalen Hurts goes there.
But I don't think Jalen Hurts will even consider Purdue.
January 9th, 2019 at 4:04 PM ^
Would be funny to see him go to Auburn.
January 9th, 2019 at 1:30 PM ^
News around town is he's going to Auburn to replace Jarrett Stidham.
That would be something.
January 9th, 2019 at 1:34 PM ^
Impossible! Only Michigan loses anything and everything to it's rival!!!

its*
January 9th, 2019 at 4:21 PM ^
My use was correct. It's the Ohio State University.
/s
January 9th, 2019 at 4:25 PM ^
Incorrect. It's the University of Ohio State.
E'erbody murders.
January 9th, 2019 at 5:41 PM ^
i think their students say THE university of ohio state university state...
January 9th, 2019 at 2:26 PM ^
Auburn has had far more success against Bama than we have against Ohio State and they won a Natty.
January 9th, 2019 at 2:54 PM ^
Downvoted for using the term "natty", only frat boys should be allowed to using when discussing beer.
January 9th, 2019 at 3:14 PM ^
Love me a good crispy boy, breh.
January 9th, 2019 at 3:16 PM ^
Not that is some funny shit right there, I don't care who you are!!

and even then.
just don't.
January 9th, 2019 at 1:36 PM ^
I'll believe that when I see it.
But he would fit Malzahn's offense, insomuch as he can still coach one.
What a furor that would be.

He has a program that gives him a percentage of the points of everyone ever sent to Bolivia. He put the decimal in the wrong spot.
January 9th, 2019 at 1:39 PM ^
I want this to happen purely for the caller reactions on Finebaum.
January 9th, 2019 at 8:16 PM ^
Does he still have a show?
January 9th, 2019 at 7:47 PM ^
I've also heard rumors that Oklahoma is interested in Hurts, and that they are higher on him than they were on Fields. If OU does want him, Hurts would be an idiot to go to Auburn.

I wish we had the ability to drop a QB who had only lost 2 games his collegiate career for someone better ... How does Alabama start true freshmen QBs yet we have the “QB guru” and have to depend on transfers
January 9th, 2019 at 1:41 PM ^
Nobody loves you. You will die alone.
January 9th, 2019 at 1:58 PM ^
Good lord, stop with that stupid take already.
The only QB Harbaugh recruited that he has "failed to develop" is Peters.
If your entire argument hinges on one data point, you should reconsider your argument.
January 9th, 2019 at 2:26 PM ^
Peters is still relatively young in QB years and has never played before an adequate OL. I think it’s unfair to classify him in that regard. He is behind two good QBs right now.
I am sure Jake Ruddock would be happy to discuss the merits of Harbaugh’s ability to develop QB talent with any open minded person.
January 9th, 2019 at 8:55 PM ^
Colin Kaepernick should do the same.
Would he though?
January 9th, 2019 at 3:00 PM ^
Data point, sick word.
January 9th, 2019 at 3:27 PM ^
I disagree with you about Peters. John O'Korn, however...

I don't know. How is that we have so many posters on this board that can't seem to stay on topic?
January 9th, 2019 at 2:24 PM ^
Relying on transfers means never having solid QBs?
/checks two most recent Heisman winners
Come again?
January 9th, 2019 at 3:33 PM ^
Uh, not Milton yet. Hasn't shown anything substantial.
January 9th, 2019 at 6:21 PM ^
Clemson did something similar. Replaced an established starter who had taken them to the playoff last season with a true freshman, and went 15-0.
It should not take 3-4 years to develop a QB. The best coaches have guys killing it by their 2nd year.
January 9th, 2019 at 1:31 PM ^
Hurts to OSU...makes sense?
January 9th, 2019 at 1:34 PM ^
...for their scout team?
January 9th, 2019 at 2:06 PM ^
Nah they'll use two quarterbacks at the same time. Hurts and Fields will both be in the shotgun formation and the defense will never know which one will get the snap.
January 9th, 2019 at 1:32 PM ^
Ouch
January 9th, 2019 at 1:35 PM ^
Good lord, how much eligibility does he have left? Seems like he was the backup on Saban's first National Champion at 'bama.
January 9th, 2019 at 2:01 PM ^
Nah, he was a true freshmen during the 2016 season. He has one more year left. The question is, has he graduated such that he can grad transfer and play immediately?
January 9th, 2019 at 2:21 PM ^
Important piece of info.

Little known fact: Underwarter basket weaving and Shoe Tying 432 are both 60 credit classes at Alabama
January 9th, 2019 at 4:18 PM ^
You know how hard underwater basket weaving would be?! I'd rather take Econ 401 again...

No, he only looks like he's been around forever
